I love "General Tso's Chicken" and order it where I can. Im not always thrilled with other restaurants rendition of my favorite dish, but I am happy to announce that "Fey Asian" is my most best "General Tso's Chicken" I have ever eatten. I ask to have less spicyness and the special sauce was served on the side so my "to go ' order wasn't soggy. Tender white chicken deep fried in a wonderful batter was the best ever! Gave this place a try for the first time today and it was mediocre like most Chinese restaurants in Oregon, the customer service was top-notch. However, the food was a little overpriced and kind of a OneNote type of dish. Everything was fried chicken pieces and topped with sauce. The sweet-and-sour sauce was weird. The taste was definitely off. I don't think I would come back here just because the prices are way out of range for what you're getting. Order two appetizers a combination dinner and another dinner and it was almost $50 for everything, yikes! The saltine crackers I asked for to go with my super stale and they gave you fortune cookies out of a package that were also disgusting and stale. Also, we did not receive any type of tea which most Asian restaurants give you tea and water so I'm not sure what that was about either. The walls and windows and tables and all the establishment were pretty dirty. Looks like the walls haven't been cleaned in months. Anyways, I hope that this review helps somebody else looking for a place to eat. This place has pretty high ratings for a very mediocre establishment. Mixed bag on the dishes we ordered. The hot and sour soup was bland and garnished with dried out carrot that must have been prepared in the morning. I couldn't eat it. My chicken dish had very thickly sliced chicken that was unpleasantly chewy, a novel (and unwelcome) experience for me in any Chinese restaurant. Ugh. Green Beans were nicely prepared. Best Kung Pao chicken I've had in the area. Vegetables were fresh and crisp and just the right amount of spicy-ness.

Have ate here a number of times and had lunch here today. Service was quick and the waitress (owner?), was nice but the food is just lacking. I would have to agree with one of the other Yelper's that the Red Apple is better (and it is!). Their tea, however, is good quality and you get in a coffee cup-sized cup. Egg flower soup is good but the Mar Far chicken is HEAVILY breaded. The Pork Fried Rice is just OK, with not a whole lot of taste. read more

We were in town from Salem for another purpose and stopped in here to eat dinner. It was a Tuesday night and not many customers, so we were seated right away. The waitress was friendly and very helpful. Our food came quickly and it was hot! My husband ordered the fried Gulf Shrimp from the appetizer menu as his main course and Ham Fried Rice. He says it's the best he's found in the Salem area. I tried it and agree! I ordered the number 6 with Kung Pao Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Shrimp Egg Roll and fried rice. The Kung Pao was loaded with a variety of vegetables that were crisp tender and the chicken and sauce had just the right spice and flavor. The sweet and sour was delicious! I like it more on the sour side than the sweet, and this had the perfect balance. The shrimp egg roll was delicately crisp and delicious inside. The decor isn't fancy, but the food and service more than make up for it. The price for my meal was under $9 and with tea and soda we thought the price very worth the drive from Salem. We will be heading back to Fey Asian for our next Chinese meal. read more

For some reason I remember the food being better when I was a teenager. I ate here a week or two ago and the food really wasn't that great. I mean, it wasn't awful, but maybe I've been spoiled by Hong Kong in Salem for too long... The server wasn't very friendly, but she did her job. She kept my water glass full and got our food out to us without too much of a wait. We might try it once more later, we'll see. read more

I thought the food was great. I had tsos chicken. My husband had cashew chicken and my kids split a lomein. Everything was fine, much better than the other options in the area for Chinese. The lemon chicken sauce appeared to be sweet and sour sauce with some lemon slices thrown in. Chicken was very low quality. I don't even know how to describe the General Tso chicken besides bad. Crab puffs were unusual and not really in a good way. We did a to-go order and while waiting for it to cook overheard a woman saying it was so bad she couldn't even chew her food. This place was a great place to get food from. I can't really say for the service because I was only in there for about 1 minute before the waitress got me my food (pre-ordered) and I was out the door. So I would have to say that the service was very superior to some of the other places in the area. The food, OH MY GOD. Other places will leave space in the container so that the food doesn't fall out, this place throws that idea out the window. I had pork and rice busting out the seams. The Fired Rice was a little bland but nothing a little teriyaki sauce cannot fix. They gave me enough sweet and sour sauce for Micheal Phelps to compete in. The Sweet and Sour pork was pretty good, although it seemed to be a little bit oily, which probably means that it was fresh out of the fryer which is a good thing. The bag that all the food came in was at least 6-7 pounds. Over all I would have to give Fey Asian a 4 star rating only because their food wasn't, for lack of a better word, perfect. There was not much noise, but then again it isn't a very big restaurant. I would have to say that it is one of the better places that I have eaten from. read more
