We were walking around the shopping complex this restaurant is located in, and decided to dine here…read moreon a whim- SO glad we did! Want to start off by saying that we had such great service here- our waitress answered all our questions and was very attentive. Ambiance is good as well. Lots of parking available. We got a couple of things: - Pan fried pork buns: The bun was nice & fluffy with a crispy bottom and juicy meat filling. The sauce it came with was great too- perfectly sweet & vinegary. - Dry beef mixed noodles: The beef was super tender, and the noodles were flavorful. This is meant to be a cold dish, but my mom was a bit hesitant about that and they were more than willing to serve it hot! (I definitely recommend having it cold though haha) - Szechuan Numbed Pepper Broth: Got this with fatty beef. I know some similar places let you put the fillings into the broth yourself, but ours came already assembled (which is what I personally prefer). We loved how mala this broth is, probs my favorite dish we got. Also loved the texture and lightness of the rice noodles. Lots of great fillings like quail egg, spam, wood ear mushroom, cabbage. - Korean Kimchi Broth: Got this with pork chop (though actually it was pork ribs). This is a great choice if you want a tomato-y broth that has a hint of spice and acidity. Another instance of the great service because the pork ribs were kind of hard to eat with our utensils and when we asked if they could possibly cut it up, they did not hesitate to do so. Also, the pork was (again) so tender! Would, no doubt, come back for another meal here. 10/10 would recommend!

Not sure I'd return, mostly because i felt like i was inconveniencing the staff but glad we tried it. The inside is actually really pretty and you can tell they put thought and effort into it. I got the garlic soy, they're crispy but could use more flavor and meat. I also got the stir fried jajang which was really flavorful and come in a pretty big size enough for 2-3 people. The noodles were also soft and slightly chewy, the expected texture. Kimchi, radish, and water are free and self serve. The restaurant was clean, and the food came out quickly, which was perfect for us for a long drive ahead. As for the taste: the Sweet and Sour Pork (탕수육) was average--not impressive but not disappointing either. The Jjamppong (짬뽕) was flavorful with plenty of ingredients, making it enjoyable. However, the Shrimp Fried Rice (새우볶음밥) needs improvement, as the rice was too soft and lacked the firm, chewy texture that makes fried rice appealing. I gave it 5 stars overall, but I think some foods could definitely be improved.

Perfect if you're looking to celebrate more intimately with your group. We got their Go chu jap chae, Cream shrimp, Jjambbong, Tangsuyuk, and Seafood jaengban. It was my first time having Go chu jap chae but I really enjoyed all the bell peppers and onions with thin cuts of beef. The fluffy rolls were just a plus. Cream shrimp were also fluffy but my favorite dishes were definitely the Jjambbong and Seafood jaengban. It was difficult to say which one I liked better because they were both delicious in their own ways! The Tangsuyuk was also crispy with the sweet and sour dipping sauce on the side. Overall, my friends and I had a great time. The food was fantastic, the portions were hefty, and the prices were justified. Staff were attentive and efficient so I can't wait to come again. Come check them out, you won't regret it!

The jajangmyun sauce comes in varying degrees of spiciness, but even the medium isn't too bad; has a slight kick but doesn't take away from the overall taste. The tang soo yuk also has two different batter options, one is little chewier than the other, but it was recommended to me by the waitress and definitely enjoyed it with their sweet and sour sauce. The waitresses there have always been very attentive and professional, never regret leaving a big tip because they definitely worked for it. Overall, ambiance is pretty noisy as there are a lot of seats and since it's a very family orientated restaurant, it's usually been packed with families enjoying a meal. The restaurant also shares a parking lot with a Tesla super charger, so it was perfect for me to plug my car in while I eat.

I literally searched on Yelp for the closets ramen spot to me at that time, and Rakkan Ramen showed up. Here is my review: Parking was fine. They have a lot behind the little shops, but I was able to find a free spot up front. Location: SO confusing! I called them and the number listed is not for this location. The staff couldn't direct me, but a local showed me the way. It's actually located inside a place called "Sweet Octopus". Again, very confusing! It appears there are 3 restaurants in one. You can order inside of sweet octopus for rakkan ramen. The weirdest situation but it was clean inside and the staff did help me with picking out my food options. I got a sushi roll and a classic ramen. The food came out pretty fast but the taste was just okay. I was kinda shocked and disappointed. I added muscles to mine and they were disgusting. I am a regular ramen eater and a fan of muscles and these tasted like sewer water. The sushi was good so I would probably stick to different options on this menu. Would come back to try one of the different restaurants! I recommend trying for yourself :)

When I opened the omurice, the rich egg and cheese aroma covered the entire dish, and every spoonful of rice was full of flavor. The sweet and tangy fried chicken skewers were also delicious. Surprisingly, craving this got me to come back a second time. The Fire Chicken Omelette Ramen had the same presentation, but Buddok ramen instead of sushi rice. Disappointing, because I could have just made Buddok ramen at home. The Schewan noodles were not spicy nor tasty. Takoyaki was good, on a bed of potato fries. Would order again. For the Beef Bulgogi Cheese Fries, the bulgogi is good, the fries are not. These fries are from the frozen section at Costco, make no mistake. They are bland, 2/5 star fries. Even if the bulgogi was on top of better fries, the bulgogi is dry and the cheese on it isn't melty or saucy, so the fries and the topping don't mix together well. Just a pile of dry food.

The sesame chicken was not crispy fried and the sauce was very sweet. The kung pao chicken was a taste that I've never had in this dish ... sweet with a little bit of spice. The pan fried dumplings were okay as well- not the best I've had but okay. In general, this was an okay food stop but I do not see myself driving purposely over here to eat.

We tried the soup dumplings, which didn't have as much broth as expected, and a chicken and shrimp dish that was supposed to be spicy but came out tasting pretty sweet instead. When we mentioned it to our server, they offered chili oil, which was nice, but I would've preferred to experience the dish as it was intended. The interior is simple and it works fine as a spot for a quick bite. That said, I was specifically craving solid Szechuan flavors, and there are definitely better options nearby if that's what you're looking for.
