Petite fillet.
Steven S.

Haven't been here in quite some time. I wanted a steak, we were going somewhere else, but saw the this, and changed it up. Obviously no reservation, but we only waited two minutes for a quiet table in a back dinning room. Bottom line, my petite filet totally hit the spot. It was cooked perfectly and very tasty. I had the house salad with the house dressing and mashed potatoes as my sides. The wife had a strip and said it was very good. A great spur of the moment dinner.

Screen blocking the fire exit.

It was mostly fine. The oysters were good but gumbo was cold. The biggest thing is that they had the fire exit blocked with a screen that is a violation of the fire code.

My teacher retired club

Ventured out to Collierville Tuesday for my retired teacher club. 13 of us dined in for lunch. We also had a gift exchange as we waited for our food. Service was awesome from the onset of planning this luncheon. Jay and Kristy were so patient as our reservation and numbers kept fluctuating. They were so nice to adjust as we went along. Chris and Drew were our waiters. They were super busy but took good care of all of us. The decor of the restaurant is so stylish and cozy. It is quite large with different areas for private dining. Everyone was so nice and kind. I ordered the club sandwich which was massive! I ended up taking half of it home because I ordered calamari for the table. The club came with a choice of sides. I got spinach which was light and seasoned well. The calamari was excellent. The remoulade sauce was spicy and complemented the squid very well. There were also fried green tomatoes with the dish. The calamari was fried to perfection and overall so delicious. I forgot to take a oic of the calamari. Oops! I will definitely return to try other entrees and dishes.

My parents and their friends, who are long-time patrons of Jim's Place Grille, took me to dinner there during my recent visit from out of town. They consistently rave about this restaurant, and I now understand why. The ambience is elegant, yet casual and welcoming. The staff provided attentive service with remarkable patience. The dinner was delicious, and the Skillet Cookie was a perfect ending to the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant, as it is clear why it is a favorite among my parents and their friends.

Food is good, prices are a bit elevated. Usually packed at the bar, but normally not a long wait for a table.

Lane 24 for 1 hour, 3 pairs of shoes for $30.00. I thought this was very reasonable. I'm not really sure what the price breakdown was for the lanes and the shoes, but I kind of expected 30 for the hour and more for shoes. The equipment, whatever its called, however it works, performed properly, and we didn't lose any of our time we paid for waiting for malfunctions to be corrected. When I got there,I wanted beer. There happened to be a line that seemed to take forever, there were two bartenders, but the good news is that I was able to buy 3 beers at once, and I was given a bucket of ice, so I never had to wait in the line again. The weird thing is, the bartender thought it necessary to remove all the beer caps at once. They checked my id and gave me a wrist band, which I suspect is a way to prevent a purchaser from sharing with underage teens. Or rather,a way to catch underage drinkers. The arcade was very antiquated. There is a photo booth that charges 3 bucks for a single picture. I thought these were obsolete. Who wants a 3 dollar selfie????? The arcade also was small. There were a couple games not working which took our money. There are signs saying you are shit out of luck losing money to a machine that steals because they don't own the machines. This is such BS. I bet they own the money that goes into the machines. Besides, someone owns the machines. Actually I really don't care who owns what, the bottom line is that if there are machines that only take money and do not perform, it is basically theft to leave them open to the public and deny any responsibility without even removing the machine from service. The arcade was also too small and the games were old. There is a bar that is separated from the rest of the building for the grown ups to hang out in. Bad thing is, this would be perfect for smokers, but sorry, not allowed. There was an armed security guard. Don't know how much protection he could actually provide, or if he is actually full time, but there was no sign on the door restricting citizens from carrying their own weapons. I drank three beers. I was unarmed. But I would be willing to bet there were at least a dozen firearms inside. I was able to feel comfortable having children and an infant. I think the guy bowling next to us had something under his shirt. I look forward to returning another night. We did not try the skating. It's been over 20 years, but it does sound fun.

Staff was disengaged. I didn't even touch the food considering everything else I saw. The half-finished paint job that's been there for over 8 months mixed with the 90s food court cup colors really made me feel at home. I also appreciated the broken arms on the chairs, and the random half booth and table. The bar felt like a Mexican restaurant. And don't get me started on the worst Spotify-free music playlist I've ever heard. It was vulgar, completely no-name artists, and was just depressing. Top notch ceiling tiles too. Sagging, torn, or covered in mold. Drive to Bartlett. This place is a Gutterball.

We arrived at 4:15 PM and were the only table in the restaurant, yet service was unbelievably slow from the start. It took over ten minutes just to receive drinks. Shortly after, another table was seated and the server suddenly spent a remarkable time at that table (roughly ten minutes?) and then she took their order first. After waiting about 30 minutes, our food finally arrived and it was completely unacceptable. Everything was cold, greasy, and nothing about it resembled authentic Cajun cuisine. The crawfish tails were clearly microwaved and served on a bland bed of rice. The children's mac and cheese was especially bad--dry, unappetizing, and obviously had been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. My boyfriend had his dish to the side, untouched and was trying to get anyone's attention to come by. The server did not return for another 15 minutes to check on the food. To make matters worse, when we asked to speak with a manager/owner, they refused to come to the table. Instead, we were told, "The manager said to just remove it from your bill." That level of disregard for customers is incredibly unprofessional and disappointing. I honestly don't understand how they expect to stay open. A service industry business that you refuse to treat seriously? Ridiculous. The service throughout the entire visit was just as poor. Our server was rude, inattentive, and spent most of the time avoiding tables, either hiding behind the kitchen door or standing at the server station. We ultimately had to get up ourselves just to pay. Overall, the experience was frustrating from beginning to end. Between the poor service, low-quality food, and lack of management accountability, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. If I could give it zero stars I would.

There's always a lot of food- every meal is huge- and we are always satisfied whenever we eat here. I've summarized my thoughts on different meals below. The Crab and Artichoke Dip is good but I didn't feel it was very flavorful. My mom loved it. I did really like the Firecracker Chicken Wraps even though about a third of them are the wrapping. I paid an upcharge to get the Chicken and Strawberry Salad with the Raspberry dressing instead of a house salad which was fantastic. Also, huge. I took half of it home. I got the Napa Grilled Chicken for my meal which was soft, juicy, and flavorful. Hubby got the steak prime rib which definitely melted in my mouth but otherwise did nothing for me. The Coconut Chili Mahi Mahi was awesome and flaky and the rice mixture that came with was so tasty. I was delightfully surprised. The balsamic vinaigrette is not overpowering as it often is at other places. It even tasted good with the bread. Flo's Fillet medium well done is thin but packed with seasonings and flavor. The medium is thick and tender but had less seasonings The Chocolate Stampede was huge. I'd actually want to order it as an appetizer because it's not easy to take home but it's huge so you'll want to make sure you have room for it. The Longhorn Steak had good seasoning at first but after a few bites was just ok.
