Really great food. The garbage breakfast (yep its really called that) had some nice flavor. I normally find sausage a little bland and this was surprisingly tasty. Typical breakfast diner. It was nice but nothing to write home about. My server was Melanie. She was nice and took care of my order just fine. I got eggs, bacon, hash browns, english muffins and OJ. I got my order quickly (there were only one other customer in the restaurant and they just opened). The eggs were cooked properly. I think the hash browns were cooked properly but they were still a bit soggy and nothing really good. I don't know what I got for an English muffin but I wouldn't ever recommend it. This was my first visit to Jimmy's egg. I was pleasantly surprised with the service and quality of food. They had some very nice healthy options in addition to the regular breakfast and lunch food. Jimmy's Egg is an incredible breakfast (and lunch) restaurant. My group traveled through on our way home from vacation and picked Jimmy's Egg because of how close it is to the highway. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was easily the best Eggs Benedict that I've had in the last 5 years, possibly ever. The hollandaise sauce was perfection. Heading back to LR we stopped by Jimmy's egg for mid morning sunday breakfast. There was a short wait but it was well worth it. Our server wast the best. She was very attentive with out being overly attentive, she always had fresh coffee ready and also made excellent suggestions about what to order. The menu was so vast that it was hard to decide what to order so I just went with Bacon, Ham, Eggs, hash browns and Cinnamon mini pancakes. The only problem I had was about every 2-5 minutes someone would offer to fill my coffee that I haven't even drank out of yet. We live very close to Jimmy's Egg and we go as often as we can. Really enjoy the food! Never really had a wait and the portions are a nice size. The servers are always nice and quick. I have tried a couple of different things but love the Farmer's Skillet Scramble. It has Diced ham, sausage, onion, and green bell peppers scrambled with two eggs on a bed of home fries with melted cheddar cheese. I switch the sausage to bacon because I don't like sausage and I never have an up charge like some other places do. We eat here frequently for breakfast. Service is always great, even during the busier times. We have never had any issues with the food not being prepared correctly. They have a variety of options, and everything we have had has been great! Additionally, the kitchen staff was very helpful when my car broke down at the entrance of the parking lot! Not at all impressed with this place. The prices are on the high side and the food was nothing special. The pancakes were good and the homemade bread toast was good too. I had a dish that came with 2 eggs and a mix of sausage, green bell peppers and onions over the hash browns. The bell peppers were not cooked enough and the hash browns you needed a magnifying glass to find them. The sausage looked like it had been steamed or boiled. It had no flavor what so ever and no seasoning. This meal was $8.00!! The coffee was $2.00 a cup! Again not impressed, the $1.00 sausage biscuit at McDonald's is 100 times better then the breakfast I had at Jimmy's Egg. Will not be going back again and would not recommend it . Oh my gosh. Really? I hadn't been here before? Our normal breakfast staple Village Inn needed to be retired for a morning, so we tried Jimmy's Egg on a Sunday morning. The menu is different that a lot of the run of the mill breakfast joint in Springvegas, and the change is refreshing. There is a lighter fare menu that doesn't only consist of fruit/yogurt, and the unhealthy stuff is just wonderful looking. I tried the farmers skillet which consists of homemade fries (big hash browns), scrambled eggs, peppers, and a whole bunch of other delicious stuff. Hubs tried the meat lovers omelet which he enjoyed. I liked that most of the ingredients seemed pretty homemade and fresh. Worst place i ever went to. Went in and asked for a to go order. Ordered two pieces of bacon which was hard as a rock. An egg which was two inches in circumference. The egg was very sour. Then i ordered two pieces of french toast. She asked if i wanted cinnamon raisin i said that sounds good. When i took it out one was cinnamon raisin and it was burnt to a crisp. The other was a small piece of white bread that wasn't cooked all the way. They charged me somewhere around 7.33. I gave them 8.03 and since it was a to go order i didn't think i should tip them.
