We recently had a great, late breakfast at Jimmy's Egg at 80th and Dodge. The friendly waitress greeted us with "Hey, guys!" which prompted an exchange about parts of the country which use that expression. But I digress! The menu is new from the last time we were here. I was very happy to see a separate menu for smaller appetites that was not a kids' menu. I ordered a two egg, two ingredients omelette with bell peppers and onion that was the perfect size. My side was a small bowl of fruit. No leftovers! Bookguy had the Cowboy Scramble: scrambled eggs, steak, red peppers, cheeses, avocado, onions, pico de gallo, and some spicy stuff over tots plus an English muffin. No leftovers for him either. The coffee was good too. We always leave here with happy tummies and today was no exception.

The food was good - big portions. I ordered The Classic - 2 bacon, 3 sausage, eggs your way, toast. Love the toast - I'm guessing it is grilled on the flat top not in a toaster oven, so crisp and buttery!!! Service was quick and friendly too. It's a cute modern place for breakfast and they serve lunch too.

The service was great, Ashley took great care of us. My husband and I shared a breakfast and I added an additional egg and I also got some coffee. I like that they offer flavored coffee creamer. Breakfast was good, but nothing spectacular. I think there is something weird going on with the plumbing because when we went there was a bit of a sewage smell in the main dining room. Otherwise, it was a pleasant experience.

I had the pleasure of eating at Jimmy's Egg in Omaha. Although I'm generally not into family-style breakfast/lunch places like this, I found the food to be pretty good for what it is! It's just that the choices really aren't exactly what I'm looking for - I want more 'elevated' and healthy choices, and this is more in line with what you'd expect for 'down-home' (and maybe not-so-good-for-you) cooking. That said - I think this style of food is in demand in the area - the place was absolutely packed! The line moved fairly quickly, and soon we were seated! Our server was very friendly and kept our drinks full throughout the visit. We got our food fairly quickly, and everything tasted good. I was very happy with the service and the food met my expectations! I just wish they had some more interesting and healthy options.

Jimmy's Egg is a good breakfast place. I got the Belgian waffle, scrambled eggs, bacon and home style potatoes. The food was good, hot and priced reasonably. Service was great and food came out the kitchen pretty quick. The place was busy so prepare for a wait.

What a fantastic brunch experience at Saddle Creek Breakfast Club in Omaha! From the moment we…read morewalked in, I loved the atmosphere. The colorful, retro-inspired decor, bright pink walls, eclectic artwork, and funky flooring give this place a personality all its own. It's a fun, lively setting that makes breakfast feel like more of an experience than just another meal. I ordered the Chicken Fried Pork, featuring a breaded pork tenderloin topped with two eggs and smothered in chorizo gravy. What a great combination! The pork was delicious, and the rich, savory chorizo gravy really made the dish stand out. I also ordered a side of hashbrowns, which rounded out an excellent breakfast. I'm a black coffee drinker, so I appreciate a restaurant that serves a genuinely good cup of coffee without needing to dress it up. Their coffee was excellent, something I always consider a big plus at a breakfast spot. Service was very good throughout our visit. The staff was friendly and attentive, and despite the restaurant being busy, we had a great experience. The menu is also worth mentioning. There's a creative mix of traditional breakfast favorites and more adventurous options, from several varieties of eggs Benedict to unique breakfast dishes and sweet offerings. Definitely plenty of reasons to come back and explore more of the menu. Between the fantastic food, excellent coffee, friendly service, and one-of-a-kind atmosphere, Saddle Creek Breakfast Club really impressed us. We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch and will absolutely be returning! Five stars and highly recommended!

Stopped in for brunch on a Saturday around 11am and waited about 25 minutes for a table. I didn't mind the wait, because they take your phone number and text you when your table is ready, so we were able to walk around countryside plaza during our wait. Our food hit the spot!!! I got the cali club which always blows me away. The fresh croissant from le quart is the cherry on top of an excellent sandwich. I usually stay away from breakfast sandwiches at restaurants in favor of other options, but will always make an exception here. My husband got the chorizo burrito- I'm not personally a fan of rice in a breakfast burrito so I wouldn't order it myself, but nonetheless it was still pretty good. I loved that they offer local hot sauces from volcanic peppers on the side. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She was very busy but always kept an eye on us and refilled our drinks multiple times without us having to ask. Overall, it's a classic, highly recommended Omaha brunch spot for a reason. Will never say no to coming here.

My husband is a much harsher critic than I am, and he gave it a "rare 5.5 out of 5." The pancakes were some of the fluffiest I've ever had. They also have a great selection of coffee flavors to choose from, which was a fun bonus. The coffee paired perfectly with breakfast, though I probably wouldn't come here just for the coffee alone. The flavor was good but it did have a slight burnt taste. A quick note: you order at the counter before sitting down. It's a mix of self-serve and sit-down service. You order at the counter, grab your own silverware, and seat yourself, but they bring your food and drinks out to you (other than water). I do wish they were a bit more attentive about clearing finished plates during the meal. The restaurant was so busy that the line was out the door when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly fast. I was worried we wouldn't find a table, yet there were plenty of open seats available. The atmosphere is also really nice and cozy, making it a great spot to start your day.

Ok the other hand, the service is rather iffy & unpredictable. The chicken & waffles is my go-to for each visit, and they have many types of delicious sides to choose from, with my favorites being the biscuits & berries, goat cheese grits, and also the fried green tomatoes. I have zero problems with the food that they serve here, they always do an excellent job at preparing whatever they need to prepare & the portions are always satisfactory. As for the service, there are days where you will receive perfect service while on others the service is not so great. Some days you will be attended to in a timely manner, while there is other days where there isn't anyone available or willing to seat you somewhere. I've also experienced instances where they didn't attend to our table to take orders until I made a complaint. Most of these instances were during days where the place was virtually empty so it's not because of the place being busy. I've also ordered take out from here before, again some instances are perfect and there's other instances where they don't tell you if a certain food is out of stock via text or call so if you ordered something that isn't in stock, you're forced to wait for them to prepare something else once you arrive to pick up your order. They also don't always include syrup or butter in the takeout bags for chicken & waffles. One minor thing I'm also disappointed about is how the portion of grits has lessened over time, going from being served in a bowl to instead being served in a small cup/mug. Overall, I certainly don't return for the service because you never really know if it's going to be a good day or a bad day for that. It's always the food that brings me back. I do want to like this place, and I do to an extent but again the service is always unpredictable. I'd still say the food is worth coming here to see how it goes.

Everyone was so nice and even brought a carafe of water to my table, since I was hobbling around with a cane (I'm waiting for my hip surgery). I was so delighted to see a beautifully decorated latte; in a simple white shallow mug, delivered direct to my table. I ended up ordering a light breakfast...one egg over medium, and some sourdough toast, with butter and their lovely jam. Everything was done perfectly, and the jam was divine. This place taught me a thing or two about vegetables, which delighted all of our senses, and I highly recommend trying a variety of their small plates. This is worth a few minute detour. If you live here, well then, lucky you! Our servers carefully detailed the menu and let us taste a new wine prior to ordering. The dinner service manager is knowledgeable and passionate about the dining experience. When we ordered the radicchio salad, I was skeptical that it would be bitter, but was curious to try it. My husband and I could have fought over it--it was that good! The cauliflower was roasted perfectly, and sat upon a sweet and spice infused puree called mahummara with crunchy pine nuts. The complexity of spices compelled us to try another bite, and then another... Roasted carrots are tender and sweet. Paired with cool yogurt and chili crunch, they ascend into another level of deliciousness. A tear of fresh bread across bits of remaining sauce, and then (not a minute sooner) "we are satiated, thank you!" and the server can take the plate. The restaurant is adjacent to a theater that shows unique offerings and they will sometimes coordinate events with menus. We liked the simple cafe style tables and openness. Ample parking is available in back.

They were fairly busy, and honestly our food took a bit to come out, but I am still giving a five due to the overall experience and quality of service. Our server Melannie was fantastic and always present. We did the bottomless mimosa deal (3 out of 4 of us) and she was always coming around asking us what flavor we wanted next when our current was still half full to make sure we got our moneys worth. The champagne might not be the fanciest, but for $20 bottomless mimosas I'll take it. They have fun flavors in addition to the basic ones like strawberry, mango, etc. which adds an element of fun. For food--there were several things I was eyeballing but landed on the spicy chorizo Benny. It was really good, eggs cooked perfect, and came with hashbrowns. Another at our table got the poutine which also looked yummy. I'd say the food portion could have included a bread/toast option, however If brunching in Omaha i'd return to try several things on the menu. The vibe inside is chill, would be more fun sitting outside once the weather warms up. Since I was the one that booked the reservation, the tab got a bit confusing. At first they were taking it off my total, then the server said that hold would come off so I paid for my meal/drinks there. I did end up getting double charged (for both the reservation hold and my meal) which was cleared up with a quick phone call to their establishment---apparently it is a new process they are trying. I do understand though why they wouldn't want to just deduct the hold as then people that don't know how to tip wouldn't tip on the total, which hurts the server. All was cleared up regarding this mishap though so no complaints.

May 25th, 2026 Food:…read moreWaited a whole hour for an easy order... which was a mini charcuterie board with a plate of avocado toast... when it was served... it looked pretty and at first I didnt mind about the long wait, but I was disappointed because it tasted like it was made an hour ago but was barely being served to me a whole hour later.. so yeah.. not worth it and now I do mind.. a soggy toast isn't on my list.. Ambiance: It was a nice regular refreshing bar/brunch spot. But safety was a HUGE issue which is where I'll get to my point of this low rating. Service: Is negative zero a thing? That goes to the owner... the 1 star is for the decent service my server attended towards me. In unfortunate events it's not the servers fault.. but overall with the owner coming out, couldnt be anymore careless.. The Cause: Either the owner or a staff employee whomever that is responsible for setting up the patio umbrellas, and I mean those large heavy metal patio umbrellas, well, they failed to lock the pole of the umbrella and unfortunately the umbrella lifted and blew away and had hit a family in the face that were dining there also; instant noticeable bruising to the face... I was only a table away from them.. it could have been me too. I am disappointed in the lack of care in general that surrounded the scene. Little 5 ft me... was the only one that came to help while everyone else sat around and minded their own business... it took a long while until one of the staff noticed to help and then the owner came out and awkwardly said a one word-sorry and dipped... didnt come back to offer any hospitality, non-genuine and non-apologetic... it made me lose my appetite. They had the audacity to still charge the family their meal... but I had to tell these really nice folks to make sure they get comped back. It was sickening to me on how careless they were treated. I would never come back! I mean an exaggerating long wait, cold soggy food and careless hospitality from the owner himself. That's three major strikes. P.s. That same wknd.. the news showed up about a South Carolina woman that was struck by a patio umbrella and died on site... that says alot about lacking safety. Yes, search it up. It's real news.. Hope this help improves the business alertness. P.p.s. And although I was disappointed at this dining-bar overall... I still tipped my server a good $20 as the situation was out of their control, my server was still attentive towards me. They all just need social common courtesy in empathy and hospitality. But anyways, my lunch ended with bittersweetness with the family that got struck, they comped my whole meal for genuinely being the only one that was concerned for them. The only service I'm grateful for was that.
