Great service and hearty brunch! Their pancake is so fluff and their bacon is crispy. Not to mention the lemon meringue pie is amazing ! Can't even wait till we get home to try it. The restaurant is spacious and cozy. Definitely recommend this place. Edit to add that if you sign up for their rewards before your birthday, they will give you a free pancake meal!

We stopped for breakfast after dropping my mom off at the airport. We were greeted and seated immediately by our server. She was friendly and attentive. We received our orders in a timely manner and was impressed with the portions. We both left with half of our breakfast for the next day. Overall nice experience and recommend coming back.

I came here for dinner with my dad, we were taken care of quickly. Our waiter did leave for about 10 mins after we asked for condiments also asked for another drink and she forgot both. The overall food was good we both ate our food just a tip though, eat the toast first or it will be hard to swallow. I'll give that it was clean, we had no sanitary issues with anything. Food rating: 4/5 Service rating: 2/5

First, service was excellent in this new, clean, chain location. We were promptly greeted and seated on a Sunday morning. Our waitress was attentive throughout, exceptionally nice, and willing to work through the chaos that comes with ordering for a family. The food was cooked as desired and tasted good. It's hard to replicate 'home cooking' in a chain but I feel they tried. We traditionally go to another breakfast chain in Bellevue and I always feel they smoother items in oil, so much so that they taste the same...this is not the case at Carter Lake Perkins. The bakery had lots of options and depending on the day, they had specials. One consistent special was 'Buy 3 Bakery items, get 3 free'. I believe Sunday was 'Buy a pie, get another half price'. While tempting, I felt buying two pies in my running clothes was pretty counter-productive.

    "Fresh" Broccoli with my Dinner

I was excited for Perkins to open at this location and have been frequenting it once or twice a month. However, it seems the quality is going downhill and today was enough for me to let yelp know about it. Today I showed up at 9pm with a friend for a late night meal. There were maybe 4 tables when I showed up, there was a family waiting for a table in the lobby. After a short wait finally someone appeared out of the kitchen and sat the family waiting, and then me and my friend. It quickly became obvious that she was the only person working the front. The restaurant was chilly and I was inclined to get some soup. My dining companion and I quickly decided what we wanted and placed our food and drink order but I was informed that there was no soup after 8pm. Bummer. But shortly after, we got our drinks....and we waited. Food came out about 15-20 minutes later. I'm a sucker for a good turkey dinner and I ordered it with broccoli. The turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes were good. The broccoli on the other hand was rotten. Brown spots on the cut of broccoli is usually not a good sign. Now, did I get a chance to speak with the server to correct this? No. I did not see our waitress for a drink refill or a table check at all. She spent most of her time in the kitchen. I did not see any other staff members my entire visit. Our drinks didn't even get refilled. After we finished our meal (except the broccoli) we went up front, waited to pay, and left. And the family that was seated before us? Still was waiting on their food. I'll stop again but quality and service is starting to slip.

Yesterday was the first time I've ever been to a Perkins and I must say it's much nicer than similar restaurants in its class (Denny's, the Kettle, many local diners). Our server was an absolute delight and I noticed other servers providing just as good of service to their customers. The restaurant was very clean, the menu had lots of standard fare options and the pricing provides a great value. I would return and recommend to anyone looking for diner type food in a friendly, clean and causal environment.

DP ordered Lemon Berry Pancakes, a plate-filing short stack of goodness. I'd like to say it tasted as good as it looked, but I couldn't tell as DP chowed down like a hound from hell. In a good way, of course. She did allow me to share her Maple Braised Bacon (meaning that I was able to snatch a piece while she wasn't looking). Really, really fine, something I'd definitely order again. For me. Not to share. I had the Schnitzel Bennie with tart cherry jam and lemon hollandaise. Sound unusual? Tasted great! My only gripe was that the pork cutlet was a bit small and could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading. Would I order it again? You betcha! Service was fast and efficient. The decor was quirky and inviting but the space was loud enough that it was really hard to carry a conversation. Overall rating: yahoo!

We said first available seats, which ended up being at the end of the bar. More about that later... I ordered the vegan standard and hubs ordered the banana bread French toast. The server was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner, considering the place was packed. Regarding the vegan standard, it seems they have cut back on the amount of tofu scramble and increased the amount of hashbrowns, which was a little bit disappointing. As usual it was very tasty though! I tried a bite of the hubs French toast and it was VERY unique and tasty! II will be getting that next time. I was disappointed to hear that they haven't brought back the vegan biscuits and gravy, but maybe once again they will! So the food was great but our experience, not so much, based on where we were sitting. I feel like they should not even use the last spot at the bar to seat a patron. Right next to where I was sitting is the place they bring the clean silverware to dry it off, then they would toss it into the silverware holder. The noise was very annoying and they did nothing to try to even be quiet about it. The other thing about that location is the register is pretty much right in your face, like 15 inches directly in front of me and someone was pretty much there the whole time. Other areas of the bar wouldn't be quite so bad, but next time we will wait longer to get a table or sit at the bar top that looks outside instead of at all the workers doing their thing and talking to each other. Other than the location of where we sat this visit, this is still one of our top spots for a yummy vegan breakfast, and we will be back!

The service was excellent and our server was attentive. Went there for their fried chicken which was highly recommended but was not a fan. The chicken is under seasoned and dry. Crisp and amazing with butter and jam. We ordered the fried green tomatoes as well which were tasty and crunchy, they came with tasty goat cheese and some sauce, while I do wish there was a bit more sauce it was still a great choice. The Mimosa flight was good but it wasn't anything special, I do wish for the cost that there was a bit more going on or even bigger portions. Overall good place to go with a good variety of options.

The chai was house made and it was SO great, like Christmas in a mug, just phenomenal. The food is different from other breakfast spots around Omaha. The croque miss was the breakfast sandwich special and it blew all other sandwiches out of the water. Thick bread, Dijon mustard, ham, and topped with 2 eggs! WOWOWOWOWOOWOW!! He looked at me and said, "No, it's totally fine. Would you like some veggies on the side?" "Yes, that would be amazing," I said, and walked back to my table... and burst into tears. It wasn't just what he said. It was the kind energy in his eyes. I felt someone who took pride in what he was making, and who genuinely wanted people to be happy. I found myself asking, why am I crying? Because in a world where so many people in power feel disconnected, where corporations can make us feel like numbers, being genuinely cared for in a small café reminded me how much I love humans. Most people have love in their hearts and are trying to share it in their own small ways. As the world cracks, these simple things are more meaningful than ever.

They were fairly busy, and honestly our food took a bit to come out, but I am still giving a five due to the overall experience and quality of service. Our server Melannie was fantastic and always present. We did the bottomless mimosa deal (3 out of 4 of us) and she was always coming around asking us what flavor we wanted next when our current was still half full to make sure we got our moneys worth. The champagne might not be the fanciest, but for $20 bottomless mimosas I'll take it. They have fun flavors in addition to the basic ones like strawberry, mango, etc. which adds an element of fun. For food--there were several things I was eyeballing but landed on the spicy chorizo Benny. It was really good, eggs cooked perfect, and came with hashbrowns. Another at our table got the poutine which also looked yummy. I'd say the food portion could have included a bread/toast option, however If brunching in Omaha i'd return to try several things on the menu. The vibe inside is chill, would be more fun sitting outside once the weather warms up. Since I was the one that booked the reservation, the tab got a bit confusing. At first they were taking it off my total, then the server said that hold would come off so I paid for my meal/drinks there. I did end up getting double charged (for both the reservation hold and my meal) which was cleared up with a quick phone call to their establishment---apparently it is a new process they are trying. I do understand though why they wouldn't want to just deduct the hold as then people that don't know how to tip wouldn't tip on the total, which hurts the server. All was cleared up regarding this mishap though so no complaints.
