This place is super clean and the help is just as nice as can be, they attended to every need and were so cheerful. This was the worst experience I have ever had. First we got there and wasn't greeted for about 10 minute. Then we ordered and sat there for almost an hour and a half with not food and the waitress running around like she didn't know what she was doing. Almost every table that got there after us got there food before we did. Then after that when she did give us our food, messed up my entire family's order and I had to send it back because I did not get the right order and she forgot who's order was who's. then we ate and our food was cold and dried up because it had been sitting on the counter waiting to be brought to us. so unprofessional and I am very disappointed. read more

There are only 2 Dennys in the Omaha vicinity, and this site is also a major truck stop off the 80 east at Gretna. Unlike the West Omaha location, customers are in transition, while locals tend to patronize the other Denny's. The quality of food is good at both, but the service is better at this location. Parking is easier, and you have an adjoining gas convenience store connected to this Dennys. Coffee is premium here, and the pies are freshly baked. I still prefer a Grand Slam over newer varieties of dishes at any time of the day. read more

This Denny's is located in a gas station travel center. It was clean and not too busy when I visited, but they're clearly understaffed, at least at night, because it took a bit of wait before my party was seated. Our hostess and waiter were nice, but the employees in the kitchen were obnoxiously loud at times while singing along to music. Normally, that wouldn't bother me, but there's a fine line between making your job enjoyable and being professional. I think they crossed that line a little too often. The fact the food was a little cold (at least the mozzarella sticks and burger I got) and had stuff in it I specifically asked be removed (which our waiter said she told the cooks about) did not help. Sadly, this place is dirty. The staff are loud and chatty with one another. The food is meh. Country fried steak was only so-so. The club sandwich oddly dry with sparse mayo, a thin tomato sliver,and one small leaf of lettuce. The wavy fries are just bad and exceedingly dry. The stainless countertop is dirty. The stainless countertop in the kitchen is dirty, as can be viewed through the pass-through window. Dirty dishes are not removed when refills are brought, and they are allowed to languish for 10 minutes or more as staff convenes at the end of the counter, one of them eating. Please do not use the restaurant dining room as the employee lounge. Please do not let the Hispanic cooks talk and laugh so loudly as to be heard by customers. The sink by the coffee makers drips water loudly and continuously. The salad bar is uncovered. The place is near empty and we know why. Please fix this place. It doesn't properly represent the brand. read more

Yup still one of our fav stops. Fuel, shower and food at Denny's. It's a Sunday and headed to Boise for tomorrow. Not quite so busy today at 3:30 but wait staff were hussling as usual. We had a nice young man today. He was awesome. I had soup n grilled cheese on 9 grain bread ( with blt that bread is good too) with chicken noodle today. Small food. flying J- Denny's I-80 Gretna NE this goes out to Ricki, not sure how to spell her name. she is the Manager and rocked as the waitress and Manager our normal waitress not so much. we waited for about 20 minutes to be seated. the waitress saw us and pretty much ignored us. my husband finally grabbed menus a said loudly,,"Do you have a table available?" then we sat ourselves. she came over to us and asked if we wanted a drink first or order also, and we said order please! she took our order still not knowing her name and never provided her name. Also never gave us utensils. then when the food came the hamburgers were on the wrong plates, the dressing was incorrect. now just so u know there were only 3 other tables with people. I would understand if it was busy, but it wasn't. the food was excellent- koodos to the cook! then we asked for utensils as our food was brought to us she finally brought us utensils, then asked for the correct dressing and also asked for the Heinz 57 we had ordered earlier. I went up to ask for napkins and that is when I met Ricki, the manager. she had to tell the waitresses to clean cert tables that weren't clean as the waitresses were standing around. I thanked Ricki then as I sat down all I saw was Ricki buffing tables and telling the girls what they need to do. as more people were waiting to pay and waiting to be seated. we were very impressed with Ricki and how patient she was with the waitresses and amazing with the customers! read more

Horrible. Food was slow with nothing to show for it. My over-easy eggs were given to me R A W. I wish I was kidding. I could barely even eat my food it just looked wrong and obviously raw. Service was nonexistent. I'm in utter disbelief. How this place is a 3-star blows my mind. This is my first and now ONLY time eating at Denny's. If I end up getting sick, best believe I'm calling the health inspector. This is not okay. People shouldn't serve other people raw fucking food and then ask how everything is. Are you kidding? Food was good and my waiter brought everything to me as quickly as possible...I was impressed with him and his curiosity considering a lot of the people were actually really rude... but hey it's a truckstop and nine times out of 10 everyone in yours then fighting on the highway all day and tired...I've been to some crap show places...I've been a travel nurse 16 years...chances are you'll frequent these places located in truckstops. Dawn came over and yelled at our children for climbing on the back of our booth. We kept pulling them down off the back of the booth and she wouldn't give us even a second to respond to them. Said there was complaints about our kids and demanded we take them outside. Our five year old has Autism and the other one is two years old. She wanted them to just sit in their chairs and be quiet. That just doesn't always happen at that age. She also told my husband that she would deal with the kids and put her hands on my husband when she did that. She also came over with no mask and leaned way over our table to intimidate our children. This was completely uncalled for and they were not doing anything that deserved this. read more

I can't offer an opinion on the food or table service as after about 10 minutes standing and waiting to be seated we decided to take our money elsewhere. Only about four or five tables/booths had patrons and there were at least five employees working the dining area. They did their best not to look at us as we 'waited to be seated'. This was at about 3PM on a Sunday. Seems to me should you have about one staff per table there should be no wait. Have eaten there several times in the past. The food is usually good but the quality of service is at the point of no service. Obviously lack of staff is not an excuse! read more

Manager took my order. I ordered (take out) a three egg omelette with no cheese, a side of bacon and a side of sausage. My order total was $17, thought that was a little steep! Turned out it was! When I walked back to my truck I realized I didn't have my side of sausage or bacon plus the omelette had frigging cheese all over it! So I walked back in and told the manager, she never once apologized or offered anything, never said a word and went back to kitchen a put two slices of bacon and two sausage links in a box then wanted to see my receipt. I just less than five min ago placed my order with her. Not a single I'm sorry about that or even have a nice day, as I walked away!!! I usually avoid Denny's in general because of wait times. Like it took longer to get seated and order than to get my food. But the staff here is super friendly and they were never standing around doing nothing so I can't fault them for that. As an OTR truck driver, we try our best to plan our stops. More so when we have to be parked for a consecutive 34 hour reset. I called ahead to ask what their hours were before choosing to come here. They said midnight cause the overnight girl was out. Got here last night and they were closed at 10:30. Tonight same thing. If you can't be open the posted hours you need to advertise so. The TA down the road would be better than this. With the store under renovation, the food and drink selection is beyond limited. That adds to the inconvenience of a restaurant that closes whenever it feels like it. read more
