Whoever started this chain should remove the Jersey from the name. This place is a joke. My "never lived outside of Utah" co-worker swore that this place had great sandwiches. I finally gave in and I tried the classic Italian. Even if I wasn't from Jersey, I'd be ashamed of this sandwich. The majority if the sandwich was that shitty, square, boiled ham that you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy. The rest of the cold cuts, one single slice each of prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese, we're sliced so pathetically thin that you could see through them. I even thought that they forgot some of the meats but they were so thin they were glued to each other. I can't even say if they tasted decent, though I doubt it, because they were shaved that fucking thin. Embarrassing. My husband and Ihave been coming to this location as long as it's been open but never again. We waited in line for 20 minutes to place our order with only two other customers ahead of us. We could forgive this (maybe they were understaffed) if not for what happened next. We watched the two employees who were making our sandwiches each go to the cash register, handle coupons and money, touch all the cash register buttons, and then return to making our sandwiches WITHOUT CHANGING GLOVES. Last week I ordered two sandwiches from this location around 8pm. I got a phone call/ voicemail a couple minutes later saying that the store didn't have any bread so I was being refunded, and the person on the phone said it would be about 24 hours before it would show up in my account. I understand that it was the weekend and then Monday was a holiday so a refund may not have gone through or been processed until the next actual business day but I called yesterday to try to get an update the status and I checked periodically and still hadn't been refunded, as well as today and still nothing. I have tried calling the store and the phone just rings and rings and no one answers, both my sister and I both tried to call and were on the phone for over five minutes with no answer either time. I'm not sure if it's just not important for them to answer the phone, or if the employees are lazy or maybe it's just inconvenient for them to do their jobs, I don't know. I will say I love Jersey Mikes and have had pleasant experiences with other locations but this one is not one I would recommend as it seems like they don't care for their customers as much regardless of the circumstance. read more

This is a fantastic place to go when you're in the mood for an awesome sandwich. It brings a bit of the East to Utah and has many different flavors and taste of meats and cheese. My grandpa first introduced me to capacola when I was a child and this place has it which is amazing. You can get 3 different sizes and the giant one will certainly feed two people maybe even three and like its name it's a giant sandwich! Lunch is definitely a busy time which is good but dinner is an amazing time to go because they are less busy so if you're in the mood for some awesome meat, super friendly staff, and amazing service go there then! They will interact with you and even joke with you and are not like most places that act like a stick in the mud and have no personality, these people and this place is amazing. I usually enjoy eating here, however, my last experience was less than enjoyable. Half of the roast beef on my sandwich was discolored, tasted like it was freezer burned, and had a gritty texture to it. I barely got through two bites before I decided to throw away my sandwich. The manager was no where to be seen and the staff were not the friendliest to deal with when placing my order. It did not seem worth it at the time to deal with the employees regarding this issue, so I decided to walk out. I will not be returning to this establishment any time soon. read more

If you like frozen bread this is the place for you. I ordered a grilled veggie sandwich on gluten free bread. The veggies were okay, but the bread was still frozen in the center and soggy. I went in to ask the woman if they could do something to fix the issue and she said sorry, there's nothing I can do and walked away as I was still standing there waiting to get this resolved. Was a whole lot better when they had the old team, when they wore red shirts. I've gone in 4 or 5 times in the last couple months where I've been the only customer in the store, yet they always take like 6-8 minutes making a single hot sub. Please tell these new kids to pick it up. And of course it's always burnt and like jerky since they leave it on the grill for 5 minutes while they chop at snail speed. Came in for lunch with the hubby today and ordered their managers special which comes with a giant sub, 2 chips and 2 drinks for $15.99. Pretty good deal I'd sayordered the #55 Big Kahuna chicken steak sandwich. There was a line and they seemed to be a little understaffed and when our order came out it was a Big Kahuna beefsteak. I went up to the counter and asked Mercedes the sorta manager if my sAndwich was chicken. She took a look and said nope it's beef. She then said I think you ordered steak or maybe I made the wrong one but I'll get you a new chicken one. Within 5 min we had a new chicken one. I really appreciate that she made the mistake right. Best sub/hoagie I've had since leaving New Jersey. And I lived off hoagies while in Jersey. Reasonable prices, great service, clean place, some seating inside and outside too. I am a huge sandwich fan and Jersey Mike's is in my Top Five for best subs. I have gotten a few different things here and you cannot go wrong. This place is delish! I first found it in Vegas and then saw them pop up here in Utah. The Tuna is my favorite and the giant Philly is my boyfriends pick every time. If you don't know what "mikes way" is..Just say YES! I love to support this location on 114th because of employee Mercedes, she is efficient, service oriented, and did I mention she works fast! When Blimpie left Utah there was a deep hole left in the cold sandwich market (I think Firehouse fills the hot sandwich market just fine - love that place). Blimpie is far superior to Subway in many ways and I was very disappointed to see it go. However, Jersey Mike's has arrived and now I have a replacement for Blimpie. They cut the meat and cheese in front of you like Blimpie does and their "Mike's Way" is the same thing as "The Blimpie Way" (lettuce, tomato, onion, oil, vinegar, and oregano). Definitely recommend for others who miss Blimpie. read more

Worst Jersey Mike's I've ever been to. Ordered a Chipotle Cheesesteak through the app for pick up, bit into it and realized almost all the meat was raw. Not pink, just straight up raw. As if the person making it couldn't be bothered to separate the pieces and flip them over on the grill. Drove back to tell the cashier my sandwich was still raw and his response was, "it can't be raw." I ask, "how can it not be raw..??" He says, "we don't cook it." ??? He finally asks me what I ordered and at that point realizes, they do in fact have to cook their cheesesteaks. Another guy comes, puts gloves on, and asks me to show him the raw pieces. So basically dig into my bitten sandwich and fish out a raw piece to dangle in front of him over the register. Still baffled, I do just that, and he says "i guess it is a little pink." Like sir, it's not a little pink, its straight up raw. That side of the meat didn't even kiss the grill. Everything about this was unprofessional, unsafe and unsanitary. read more

Horrible experience, doesn't really even deserve one star. Rude, uncaring staff that has no concept of customer service. When we saw that there was a special that would have been less expensive and pointed it out to the girl making the sandwiches, she said she couldn't do it because it would mess up the "meat count". I have to admit that was a new low on the lame response scale, but maybe that's how they train people. I suspect she'll have plenty of time to count the meat based on the customers they're chasing away. Store 42008 74 west 114th south. Sandy Utah, 84070 Negative stars. This was one of the worst experiences I've had ordering a sandwich. I normally go to the Jersey Mike's on Foothill drive. They are fun there and actually take your order. Today this location wasn't even busy and we got treated like we were bothering them. The girl taking out order was so abrupt and rude to us. I tried to ask for mustard when she was taking my order and she about bit my head off...Snapped at me and said: "okay, you don't do that here you do that over there!!" So I moved down the line. The sandwiches were made without asking us what we wanted. I asked at the last moment if I could have some mustard. I have never seen such aggressive sandwich making! We waited for the hot sandwiches but were never asked what we wanted on them. When we asked about it...the girl without a name tag yelled at my sister "we don't do that here!" I feel like an idiot suggesting we go there for lunch. I've always had positive experiences at the Foothill location. I know my family won't be back to this location for sure. Very rude employees. My kids wanted to order two cookies and sat at the register for 15 mins without help. Then the kid skipped over them to help someone else. When we were walking out the door the kid made a smart mouth comment to us. My husband asked him for his name and he would not give it to us saying he was the manager.
