    California sub
    Brenda S.

The customer service was really good. Wesley helped me with excitement. This is not common with most sandwich shops. I know the employees don't get paid the big bucks. A couple behind me told me to order the California sub. It's not on the menu but it contains turkey, bacon and avocado. My sandwich was beautiful! See pics. The sandwich was delicious! I added banana peppers and did it Mikes way. I wished I would of got more sauce because I'm a saucy gal. I try to keep it healthy as possible. No Mayo, it seems like mustard may over power the natural flavors. What I longed for was the sweet hot peppers that the Blimpie sandwich shop used to use. It would be a perfect healthy combo.

    Filthy grill top

I love Jersey Mike's and it disappoints me to give them a bad review but when you see filthy counter tops and filthy grill that someone adds fresh meat onto the grill makes you (or you should) wonder what else are you eating that you didn't order. I was a teenager (many years ago) when I had ti get my food handler's license so I could prepare food for the public and not make them sick. Cleaning your hands, work station and handling raw food was paramount. This isn't the first time I have had to write a review on Jersey Mike's food handling. The previous I talked about how important it is not to use the same utensil to pickup cooked meat after using that utensil to handle raw chicken. This should be common sense but they do it anyway. I only get the number 13 Italian. It's a good sandwich and I don't really have to worry about cross contamination. But when I saw the filthy work station I changed my mind about ordering anything for a while. I can make my own Jersey Mike's style Italian subs, I did it for years before they finally moved here.

I walked into the shop during the lunch rush and was told their power had just gone out, and they could only prepare hot sandwiches.

After checking in and placing our order, we waited nearly 40 minutes only to be given the wrong pho. When we let the server know, he took it back and served the same bowl to another table, where that customer also said it wasn't hers. Meanwhile, tables that arrived after us were served before we ever saw any food. We never received our appetizers of spring rolls and cream cheese wontons. Another 10 minutes goes back, our pho and bun bo hue finally arrived. The soups themselves were underwhelming. Both bowls had very few noodles - I got maybe three bites of vermicelli before it was gone, and only about five tiny pieces of brisket. I've attached a photo to show our bowls a couple sips in. On top of that, the service felt chaotic and inattentive. I understand that they seemed short staffed, but the server's attitude was a turn off. At one point he rushed past and kicked my chair, which was startling. When it came time to pay, we stood at the counter with another party for five minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Overall, it was a frustrating experience from start to finish, and absolutely ridiculous that it took an hour to receive two disappointing bowls of pho without the appetizers we ordered. I won't be returning to any of the You and I locations. Edit: Notice the new "5 star" reviews posted by Lauren H, Daniel M, Roan C, Gail H, and Taegon L since my review was posted. Employees are very proud of their store and they are very helpful. The prices were surprisingly very reasonable and from what I could tell, not any more than what you would find in other stores. I thought that they would have jacked up the prices, particularly on the international items, but everything is priced reasonably. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

I wanted to find a traditional French boulangerie in SLC but did not see one, Zut alors!…read more I know Paris Baguette is a chain and has an Asian twist so we decided to visit on Saturday morning before driving back to Boise. It was early, and it was already busy. TIPs & TRICKs Follow the rules: Get the tray, then the wax paper liner, then use the individual wax papers at the stations to grab what you want. While you're doing that, pay attention to the pricing, because it can add it. To see the plain butter croissants empty already was shocking, but when we told the employee she came back to not only stock it but came to us first and let us pick which ones we wanted off the tray That was very nice The pain du chocolat looked good and were lacking in depth and flakiness of the crunch The Chausson aux Pommes - was really good - They could have used another minute or two in the oven to get that golden brown. They were looking like the pastly white guy at the beach while everyone else had a tan The mochi Dubai Chocolate donut was very good. The total was almost fifty bucks.... I told my wife that we could have about 40 croissants for that price if we were in Paris. C'est la vie! Look for a chain - Its pretty good. I didn't try the coffee but if they ever show up in Boise metro area, I would check them out to see if they match up with SLC.
