I ordered the daily special -- an open-faced prime rib sandwich served with mashed potatoes, brown gravy, and mixed vegetables -- and it was phenomenal. The portion was generous, the gravy was rich and comforting, and the prime rib was tender and flavorful. Even the iced tea was excellent, which is always a good sign that a place pays attention to the little things. After dinner I tried a slice of Boston crème pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and it was the perfect finish. What really pushed this place over the top though was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They treated me like a regular who had been coming in for years, even though it was my first time in town. And the value? My entire meal with dessert was only $21.57 before tip. Hard to beat that for a dinner this good. My bacon avocado cheeseburger was perfectly cooked with crispy bacon and all the trimmings. Delicious and piping hot sweet potato fries were my side this time. My daughter enjoyed her omelette as well saying it was delicious. Great place for breakfast or lunch. We hope to come back!
