I was so glad to see that In N Out was as far east as Salt Lake City. There's even like five locations in the area, so I can take the crew there to keep them happy. We were out near this Midvale location the other day. It's just south off the 215 freeway on Union Park Ave. It's in the big Walmart shopping center. WE pull in and there easy parking. The line isn't too long as we go inside. Inside is way cooler temp wise than eating in the Suburban. Plus you get all the drink refills you want. This visit I got it in my mind to try something different other than my normal Double Double. I ordered a "3X3" animal style extra grilled onions and put the lettuce and tomato on the side. I never had a 3x3 before and wanted to see it it was that much better than a regular Double Double. It was only like $1.70 I think more. One other guy on my crew did the same. I asked for the lettuce and tomato on the side, cause I thought the additional height of this 3x3 might be too much for my mouth to open. Our orders come out and wow, that 3x3 sure has a lot of melted cheese all flowing out of it! I hate when the cheese isn't melted! OK, Here goes my 3x3, I open wide and ease that meaty goodness into my mouth. Biting down, it is a different experience than a regular Double Double. More meat centric with out the lettuce and tomato. The buns were toasted well and there was a crunch from that. I did like the 3x3, but I think the Double Double is a more balanced burger experience. That familiar taste of the Double Double wasn't there, more just meat and cheese, but yeah lots of meat. I'm glad I thought to give this 3X3 a try animal style, but I think next time I'll stick to the Double Double animal style with my extra grilled onions. This bug meat burger was enough for lunch so I skipped the fries. A 4 X 4 is the biggest option In N Out will make, but that way too much meat to fit in my mouth! read more

You just can't go wrong with In-N-Out. All their stores are consistent in looks, cleanliness, service, and courtesy. The burgers are great. This location gets slammed at certain times being near downtown SLC. Parking might be a challenge as the lot can be full, but if you wait just a moment, you usually can catch a car leaving. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. I've had in-n-out burger before but have been avoiding it lately since the line always seems to have 20+ cars. Today, during my lunch break, there were about 10 cars in line, so I decided it was worth the wait. The line moved pretty quickly, and it was about 15 minutes from the time I got in line to when I got my food. Each employee I encountered was friendly! I got a number 2 which is a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink. I got a chocolate milkshake as the drink, and it was delicious. They are so thick and yummy!! They do offer Diet Coke as well!! I love their burgers, and this one was banging. A little messy, but they wrap it up so nicely it didn't matter. I'm not a huge fan of their fries, but they came out hot which was nice. I opted to eat in the car, so they gave me a little place mat for the car and also my food came in a box. You can get it in a bag if you prefer. My whole meal came out to about $10 after tax which I think is a really good price. This is a yummy stop and to me totally worth it when the line is on the shorter end. read more

Five Guys can get bent... We hit up In n' Out on our way to the SLC Airport... We always make a point to go when traveling out West and it never disappoints. In n' Out is night and day above Five Guys for a fraction of the price ($27 for two #1s, as opposed to the same thing at Five Guys for nearly $50... What a joke and complete customer price gouging). Hey Five Guys... Take notes. In n' Out is always cooked to order, fresh, and has excellent customer service... There's a reason why it's arguably the best and most iconic burger chain in the country. My son and I like to play a game-we pick a street and pick a number, then when we pass that many restaurants, we stop to eat. On this particular day, we decided that the fifth restaurant on our right that we drove past would be where we'd have lunch. I was relieved when we pulled into In-N-Out, a familiar favorite. This place has wonderful puppy patties served with no salt for your dogs. These patties are a wonderful treat for dogs because they're inexpensive and my four dogs seem to love them. The service is fast and friendly. They take the order correctly and serve the food fresh. The ambiance is a normal fast-food restaurant with a drive through. To be honest, you would pay $7+ for the same burger elsewhere. At a little over $4, this double cheeseburger is one of the best bangs for your buck! Nice soft bun, lovely fresh veggies, and it is hot and yummy. Be prepared though, because this location is CRAZY BUSY! However, that is an indication to me of consistent and quality food when the line is always busy! It was about a 20 minute wait for me the day I ordered through the drive-thru, but I knew it was going to be a wait when I pulled in so I wasn't upset. All of the workers I dealt with were courteous and had a smile on their face as they served me. In-N-Out was a staple for me when I was in high school (only a few short decades ago) and the first bite of the burger was nostalgic for me. It always takes me back to good times. On another note, I did not care for the fries and will probably not order them again. They were on the limp side. Maybe I will try the animal style and see if that makes a difference. ;) read more

Always enjoyed the food. Went today at night and yes there was a large influx of people this evening. Waited in the drive thru for a while had our order taken but they had missed 2 of our items so my grandma tried to tell her that and clarify which ones we were missing, but the worker couldn't understand what my grandma wanted and commented "maybe the person in the back can tell me since you don't know English" which we found incredibly disrespectful and not justified for the reason. She told us to pull up to the front after I told her what we were missing and she got it back out to us free of charge after 6 minutes. Still, I am questioning my interest in returning after that. If you like in and out, well, you will enjoy it here ha. When I got here the drive through line was extremely long, yet there was no line inside, so it was a no brainer to eat inside. The cashier made caught a mistake he had made with our order and fixed it really quickly, our food was done pretty quickly, and it all tasted great. The actual location of this in and out isnt the greatest though. The only way to get to the drivethrough line is to turn into the grocery store next door, and the only way to get into the in and out parking lot is frequently blocked by traffic waiting at the nearby light. read more

Ahhhh In-N-Out, it's been so long since I've had one of my favorite fast food burgers. So an in-n-out burger are smash burger style burgers. Which for the fellas you definitely need to go double double size, the ladies, if you feeling hungry, get that as well, but it is essentially a double cheeseburger. Now what are some ordering tips? The not so secret menu item called animal style. You can get in your burger and fries. On the burger, they grill your burger patty's in mustard and make a sauce that has pickles, grilled chopped onions, and the in-n-out secret sauce (which is similar to thousand island). You can also get on fries, where they essentially add a slice of cheese, grilled chopped onions and the secret sauce. I personally get the fries with animal style, and get my burger double dibble without animal style. But, even if you don't get animal style on burger, you can still ask them to grill your burger in mustard, which is delicous. Something most people don't know is you can get monkey style as well. This is essentially adding the animal fries to the top part of the burger, and is a flavor blasted experience in the mouth. read more

Always our favorite. Drive-thru is crazy but they get you through quickly and never mess up an order. You can feed your entire family for less than any other fast food. All the employees are friendly and helpful. Only critique is the restaurant could be a little cleaner because when it's busy it gets pretty dirty on the floors and tables, but you can tell everyone is hustling and trying their best. The fries aren't super crispy (which I actually prefer, though if you don't, you can order them to be cooked longer). The shakes are great. Reunited and it tastes so good... Have not hit up an In-N-Out since living in Cali, and boy did we miss it! We all double-doubled down with fries and a medium drink (aka Combo #1). Burgers were still as tasty as ever and more thoroughly cooked than back in the day, fries were fresh as always but meh. I apologize to all the In-N-Out fry lovers, but for me personally they lack flavor and crispiness. Although I was starving so it didn't stop me from eating them anyway...lol. Today is the absolutely last day I'm ever going to eat here. Why is it every single time I order a double, double protein style the paper thin hamburger patties are not cooked all the way through!
