My wife and I love the sandwiches here. One of our favorites. We hate that the one closer to our house closed. Despite some criticism coming, we still love the place and will likely always be customers. But my gripes today was that nearly all tables hadn't been cleaned. We had to do it. And my biggest gripe tonight was the obvious need for some refresher policy training. As my picture shows, they have an 8 minute thru the line promos or you get a cookie. They were not very busy but in fact very slow. We were in line for at least 8 minutes before starting our order. I asked the guy about the 8min guarantee and he genuinely had NEVER heard of it. I pointed to the sign..... he said he had never noticed it. I wanted to know if the time started once we order or once we walked up. Couldn't answer. So we moved to the cashier to ask. Same result. The first Potbellies I went to was the original in Chicago. I really appreciate the consistency in all the potbellies restaurants. Being a potbelly customer for over 2 decades in Chicago, I was glad to see a location near us. However it does not look like there are a lot of locations in this State. I'm sorry Utah but you're missing out. We stopped by for lunch and I did my usual Veggie Melt on Multigrain w/o Mayo and Mustard. It was an original and it was delicious! I also did a Diet Coke and some Zapp's Salt and Vin chips to accompany it. It was a clean location and the staff was friendly. I loved seeing the mountains in the background as well! My husband goes here a lot for lunch by himself, so imagine our family's joyful shock when he decided to take us there with the plethora of gift cards he got from Christmas since he loves it so much! Upon walking in, I knew immediately we would love this place because of the skinny option for the smallest sandwich. Ask Potbelly or follow these instructions: Put so little PB&J on one side of the sandwich that there isn't enough to transfer to the other side. Why give customers two pieces of bread if you aren't going to put anything on the other side? Do not read customer's instructions when making their salad. Put things like blue cheese and red onions on it when the order form selections were feta and no onions. I ordered through Ubereats and I have requested a refund. How this restaurant has a 4.9 rating on the Ubereats app is beyond me. Read the reviews and you'll see that this is a common theme. She mentioned the meatballs tasted "different" but put it down to it being a mix of meats. Turns out the meat was most likely bad and caused her to get sick.
