My wife and I love the sandwiches here. One of our favorites. We hate that the one closer to our house closed. Despite some criticism coming, we still love the place and will likely always be customers. But my gripes today was that nearly all tables hadn't been cleaned. We had to do it. And my biggest gripe tonight was the obvious need for some refresher policy training. As my picture shows, they have an 8 minute thru the line promos or you get a cookie. They were not very busy but in fact very slow. We were in line for at least 8 minutes before starting our order. I asked the guy about the 8min guarantee and he genuinely had NEVER heard of it. I pointed to the sign..... he said he had never noticed it. I wanted to know if the time started once we order or once we walked up. Couldn't answer. So we moved to the cashier to ask. Same result. Disgusting customer service. Never in my life have i spoken to such an unprofessional manager. I can only conclude pure laziness or pure stupidity is the bread and butter of her management style. Please have higher standards. Please do better. I ordered a sandwhich and soup from uber eats. I watched as 3 delivery drivers pull up and leave. So i messaged the 4th and asked her to tell me if there's an issue with the order or something. She tells me the manager told her, "the order was stolen and we will NOT remake it." Mind you this is 4th delivery driver and it's been over a hour as this point. Instead of contacting uber on their end...They chose to waste 4 driver's time and my time. I call the store and the manager laughs when i ask her about the situation. She said, "ya haha i told a few of the drivers that." She told me, "uber usually sends us a new ticket eventually." My husband goes here a lot for lunch by himself, so imagine our family's joyful shock when he decided to take us there with the plethora of gift cards he got from Christmas since he loves it so much! Upon walking in, I knew immediately we would love this place because of the skinny option for the smallest sandwich. All four of our kids approved of their sandwiches and I couldn't believe how good my sandwich was! Toasted and loaded with all the goods. This restaurant looks great, but I felt slightly disappointed. I would say, maybe not super nice, but this place is a glorified subway. Not too much more expensive, and perhaps a better atmosphere in comparison. But overall, nothing special from any other sandwich shop. The workers were very nice and the place was very clean. How do you mess up a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a salad? Ask Potbelly or follow these instructions: Put so little PB&J on one side of the sandwich that there isn't enough to transfer to the other side. Why give customers two pieces of bread if you aren't going to put anything on the other side? Do not read customer's instructions when making their salad. Put things like blue cheese and red onions on it when the order form selections were feta and no onions. I ordered through Ubereats and I have requested a refund. How this restaurant has a 4.9 rating on the Ubereats app is beyond me. Read the reviews and you'll see that this is a common theme. Hey Potbelly, why haven't you listened to your customer's negative reviews and made changes? We stopped by this Potbelly Sandwich Shop 15 minutes before closing and they had the chairs up and a table blocking the entry. The employee said they weren't taking any more orders. Restaurant was empty except for two employees who weren't doing anything. The employee we talked to was playing on her phone with her mask off. I didn't take pictures because I ate it so fast. It was great. We ordered on the app and picked it up. It was easy to navigate. We got BLTs which our girls loved. I got the apple walnut salad with the balsamic vinaigrette and it was so fresh. I also got a broccoli cheddar soup that was great! My friend got an avocado turkey sandwich which was good. They slice the avocado to order. The chicken in the salads was sliced thin and moist. Everything was cut up well. My wife got the powerhouse salad which was good although she could have done without the hummus. The best part was the lemon cheesecake cookie! So bomb.
