I ordered the Texas plate, and had it delivered. When I opened my food, I was disappointed to find only 3 spareribs. I had ordered a double order of ribs. I called the restaurant and spoke to a guy who did not identify himself. He told me he'd have to check the video of my order being prepared. He did not apologize, did not offer any kind of solution. I've never had BBQ ribs so good, people were falsifying claims of being shorted to get free ones! Imagine that. The ribs were hot in more ways than one! I can't believe a restaurant employee would imply that a customer was attempting to steal some of their ribs! The food I did get was very good, but the rib debacle kind of ruined my appetite for BBQ. So now, the restaurant replies to my review, and they're taking it as a positive review. While the food is good, that doesn't excuse them shorting me food, then talking to me like I was a potential thief trying to steal spareribs. If you order from this restaurant for delivery, understand that no one in the restaurant is going to show empathy or concern if a mistake does occur. Their portions are vague, and they're not interested in changing anything. BEWARE: mistakes made on your order will NOT be rectified. Angel, who responded to my review, seems to taking this lightly. I am not taking it lightly, Les BBQ is off my list. It isn't about the mistake on my order, it's about the apathy and distrust displayed by the staff to what should have been a minor mistake. I've been meaning to try this place for a while. Came on Tuesday with my friend and we both got the 2 meat plate. I was able to try the brisket, oxtail, ribs, and sausage. The food was delicious. The oxtails were unlike anything I've had before, like a mix between brisket and ribs. The brisket was tender, moist and not dry. The ribs were chew off the bone and hearty. I also liked their sausage. A little kick, smoke and perfectly cooked. The dirty rice was delicious as a side. The Mac was good too, but the rice stole the show. Michelle was super friendly. She engaged us in conversation and taught us about their operation with catering and smoking the delicious food. We'll be back and will certainly take advantage of the Tuesday special. I've had bbq in Texas, bbq in California and there's no place like Les Bbq. From the brisket to the ribs to the oxtails, I nearly died and reincarnated. I've never had smoked oxtails and I don't know how I've lived this long without. All the meats were so tender and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. The Mac and cheese is dangerously good, green beans were so flavorful - cooked down like collard greens. My boyfriend and I don't really care for carbs but man that dirty rice is addictive and complements so well with the oxtails. Service is quick, attentive. Ambiance is chill. "Food look & taste like overpriced leftovers" We flew from different parts of the country just to have lunch here! No lie. I took a flight from across the country (Houston) to dine here at Les barbecue (Utah). My friend came to try Ox tail. I ordered the baked potato with lean brisket. We placed our order with Owen. Very great customer service from Owen. Knowledgeable about the menu. (Even the "off the menu" items like baked potatoes. $13 additional $3 for 6-8oz brisket.) Ox tails bowl $50 come with 4 extra large ox tails on a bed of dirty rice. I'm not much of an ox tail girl but I tried. Great flavoring and beautiful color. The rice missed the mark for me. (Overcooked & tad Mushy) The ox tail had plentiful meat and fat ( I don't like fat of any animal). I only ate half of one, my friend ate one, other two went to waste. The potato salad was enjoyable! 4/5 The Mac and cheese (2.5/5) taste as if it was a day old, and the butter was separating; (it appeared to be sitting in oil, thick cheese parts was stuck together verses following throughout.) Flavor was good, texture of pasta was good, freshness has room for opportunity. My baked potato (2/5) came out cold. So much so that it gave me hiccups. Owen offer a refund or to suffice my request by heating it up in microwave. Which the flavor was great at first. But when it was returned to me, a rub seasoning was place on it, which was very overwhelming, while inhaling it at every bite effect my throat, ( which was already tender/irritated/sore). I tolerated it because I was hungry and the temp was pleasant. I ate almost half. I had to request extra butter (which was a liquid butter), sour cream, cheese, and barbecue sauce. It came without sauce and you have to choice to add your own sauce. Overall the potato flavor was there it was most so the temperature, and dryness. Cold and dry. (More than half went to waste) Extra details::: ((One thing we were informed was that some of the food was prepared in a different location, third party and sent to the restaurant. I think that's the problem. That company could be making its days before.)) The two ladies who were from Detroit to try this spot, said the ox tails are great.m, potato salad good. But they threw away both of the side of beans ($7/ea side), two cut of ribs, dirty rice (overcooked/ mushy). I wish I had a photo of all the food they trashed. The food look like leftovers that overpriced. The ladies said the will try it again if it's the owner that's cooking. Not this again. We agreed. We he visit Houston, we'll try then. We traveled all the way from Washington State and made sure Les Barbecue was on our must-try list and it did not disappoint. The oxtails were hands down the best I've ever had. The flavor was unreal and tasted like real Texas barbecue done right. The mac and cheese was fire, the portions were generous, and the price was absolutely reasonable. Customer service was on point from start to finish. I ordered a two-meat plate, was completely stuffed, and still had enough to take home for dinner. The only thing I could even remotely say as feedback is I wish there was Texas-style corn or cornbread but that's me really reaching for something to be critical about. We didn't get to try the banana cream pie since they're in the process of approving a new recipe, but honestly, I was so full it didn't even matter. Loved the graffiti wall too. We were on the hunt for good BBQ in the area and we found it! We stopped by Les BBQ for dinner and decided to both try a plate. I went with a two meat plate with pulled pork, brisket, mac n cheese and potato salad. My partner got the chicken and mac n cheese. The plates also come with toast. Portion sizes are huge! We both had leftovers to take home. We decided to dine in, there aren't a ton of tables but you do have the option. The meat was excellent even without bbq sauce. The brisket was my favorite. This place is it. This place is the real deal and what we've been looking for since moving to Utah. The young man at the counter was super helpful. We each got a 3 meat plate and the portions were massive. I got the smoked oxtail, brisket, and chicken with Mac and cheese and dirty rice. Smoked oxtail in Texas isn't super common. I've only ever had it braised from Haitian restaurants when living in Miami. But the smoked oxtail with the dirty rice was so perfect together. The oxtail just came right off the bone and I didn't even have to use the knife to cut it apart. The Mac and cheese was incredible. The brisket was sliced nice and thin and so tender that even the lean part of the slice broke in half with just my fork. Every time I went to pick up a piece it just fell apart. I do wish that the bark was thicker and more peppery because it's so nice to cut through the fat but that's my personal preference. It was cooked right, sliced right, and seasoned perfectly. The chicken was actually a thigh and a leg! Used my fork to pull meat right off the bone. Juicy and flavorful. My husband got the sausage, ribs, and brisket. The sausage was so good and he ate all the ribs without me even getting to try a bite so make of that what you will. Thank you Mr Rhodes Jr for EXCELLENT barbecue done the right way!!! Meat was a little salty and the Mac and cheese was dry but the Smokey flavor was amazing! It's a small place but they had bench's outside we ate on. I was craving barbecue and decided to try this place given the reviews. I had the brisket and pulled pork with potato salad and baked beans. The meats were well cooked but my brisket had a giant bunch of fat attached to it. I bet at least 1/2 a cup. Both meats were tender and had good flavor after I pulled off all of the fat. I usually love baked beans but these lacked flavor entirely. I guess because bbq is regionally flavored I'm just not used to the way they were prepared. The potato salad was ok. The brisket is the star of the show. Ready? Brisket brisket bold and thick, Smoked real slow and peppered quick. Pulled pork followed, sausage, too-- All of it hit like Texas should do. Not your sweet and sticky blend, This BBQ's got a sharper bend. Vinegar twang and black pepper bite, Unique, memorable, done just right. Famous Smoked Oxtail: 4/5 - First time trying Smoked oxtail. Tender, juicy, fatty. Honestly reminded me of short ribs. It has its own unique flavor. Delicious with the bbq sauce and the spicy sauce. To me it was one of the things you have to try, but I don't know if I'd order again given the fact I have other meats I still have to try at Les and also because I felt I got more flavors out of the Ribs. Personal opinion here... Mac N' Cheese: 4/5 - Good Mac N' Cheese. I hyped myself up for this one based on some reviews I read. Honestly, I found it to be just a regular Mac n cheese. I don't know if it was because I took it to go, but when I ate mine, it was a bit dry. I have to compare it to something and to me, Chic fil' A has better Mac N' Cheese.
