They finally gave us the name of this place so once they left, my wife and I ventured over to this spot and boy were we pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is amazing and full of energy, the sammich names are loco cool, they serve kool-aid, how awesome is that and tier desserts are yummy. I didn't get any drinks from the bar but there's always next time. My wife ordered the white widow which is a chicken sammich with i don't know what on it but she said it was delicious as I didn't get a bite and I ordered the Barry White with jalapeño au jus and jalapeño cream cheese. My Sammich was so good and once I fished all the sliced jalapeños from the au-jus and placed them in my sammich, that was the ultimate bite. Their lemon blueberry cookie was so good as was their chocolate rice Crispi treat. We will be back but we both highly recommend this place

We moved here from an area that had plenty of McAlister's and this one is really setting a high standard. My favorite to order is the Choose 2. I normally choose a sandwich (The orange Cranberry club or the Four Cheese griller) and a salad (depends on what season). The salad is normally a very large portion and always fresh. I order the Iced Tea with Black Cherry. The price of their fruit syrups have jumped majorly, but what hasn't at this point. The kids meals are great and come with the perfect amount of food for under $4. Plus the added cookie they get is always a special bonus to them. We are so happy it's in El Paso!

I never felt rushed, and I learned so much in the process.‍ A special thank you to Javier, Juan and Ricardo, who helped with my bike. Ricardo, who is about to celebrate his 19th birthday, has such a genuine passion for cycling, and it shows in the pride he takes in his work. It's wonderful to see young people who truly enjoy helping others. I also want to give a heartfelt thank you to the owner and the entire team for creating such a welcoming place. So, I did a thing. I wanted a sandwich without the laborious requirement of driving halfway across…read moreEl Paso to Brown Bag or Firehouse Subs. After a quick search on good ol' Yelp, I come across this place with a rather generous rating; but only the one. As we all know, everyone's individual experiences differ. So, let's dig into this. Since I was immediately impressed by the menu choices here (considering, ya know...this is a gas station), I decided this would be the place to satisfy my craving for a turkey and Swiss sub. And for the most part...they did. But there's a few things about this sandwich shop which are a little more than mildly annoying. Before I can get to that, let's discuss the good. The sub I got was well put together and tasted of fresh ingredients. I dare say that I would return to this gas station for another or possibly even a cheesesteak, seeing as how it's so ridiculously close to my house. But I'm a little concerned about the integrity of their grocery inventory. Let me explain.. Although my sandwich came out basically perfect, the other sandwich I ordered...eh...had some hiccups. The original order called for a tuna sub on whole wheat bread with pickles, tomato (no lettuce, despite it coming with some anyway), and salt n' pepper. The problem is...there was absolutely nothing "whole" about that whole wheat bread. This whole thing (hehe...whole) looked like it was falling apart. The bread looked ancient and decrepit. Luckily, the sandwich lady possessed enough integrity to point out what I could already visibly see. Faster than I could ask, "Who forgot to lotion the bread on my sandwich?!" the lady was like, "I can put this on some flat white bread instead and toast it, if you like." After much deliberation, I decided to go with it. The alternative would come out more like a tuna melt and that's awesome. Dry, crusty bread aside, the only other major problem I noticed with this sandwich station was the ostensible fact they seemed to be out of a lot of ingredients they just...should have had. They only had like, two choices for bread at the time. The wheat bread that looked like it had seen the grim reaper turned out to be their last loaf; hence the switching over to tuna melt mode. I'm not sure how often they get re-supplied. But they might wanna step up their game. What if the truckers that come through this place happen to request a cheesesteak on Italian herb and cheese bread? I'm just sayin'. Limited choice on ingredients aside, I like this place. I will consider it anytime I'm not in the mood to drive more than a mile or so for a sandwich. I can tell ya one thing: it beats the pants off a Big Mac. And that is why I'm graciously giving this Corner Store 3 toasted turkey and Swiss subs grateful not to be touched by Death out of 5.

Stopped in for gas ($2.18) one day and saw the slices of pizza at the register. Looked right and saw a sandwich shop. Tried the slices, it was really good. Went back today because I needed gas ($2.21) and thought I'd try a sandwich. I got a 2 Alarm Turkey Melt - it was hot, slight crispy crunch to the toasted bread, a little spice because of the Jajapeño Cream Cheese spread that they make, and FILLING. I was impressed with the quality and quantity. I thought the price was a bit high until I knew what I paid for. You deserve to try this place if you're ever on the East side near Montana and Zaragoza.

But depending on where you're from in Mexico, and even the US, your pallet may be different. So, finding a good place can be challenging especially if you're visiting. But, El Prado Bakery takes the cake (pun intended) on some of the best Mexican food in this town. From their pastries to their burritos you'll find great food here. First, they have an abundance of pastries to choose from. You can spend some time just trying to pick the right one. And they are tasty! Their burritos are absolutely delicious! I had the breakfast sausage and egg and it was great! My only issue was it was rolled up the way I am not used to for a burrito. It was more like a giant taco with the edges tucked in. That aside, it was still delicious and the salsa was good too! Eggs were cooked nicely, as well as the sausage. Potatoes were soft and with the beans added, it made for a great burrito! The staff were super friendly! Always welcoming when you walked in. And yes, we went there more than once! Always had a smile and waiting to take your order. Once the food was ordered it came fairly quickly too! Place was clean all around which was nice as well. All in all, this was a great place. Definitely stop by and try this place!
