Best sandwich spot in E Paso, hands down. I don't think I've had a better quality sandwich for the price anywhere. I've been here countless times. It's always the first place I think of when determining a group lunch. Lunch time can get pretty packed, but I never let it deter me. read more

Pure sandwich shop nostalgia. Here is where you can get a sandwich made within the deli. The cuts & ingredients are fresh. The hospitality is warm and welcoming. I ordered a smoked turkey & cheese on white and regular size. The regular size sandwich was more than enough to be fulfilling. read more

Brown Bag Deli - Menu and deli - Delis Near Me - El Paso, Texas

Walter White's Deli Upfront service is good, however, it took 25 minutes to get my order. It has to be the most "just okay" pastrami sandwich I've ever had. The macaroni salad was straight up from Walmart and just shoved in a styrofoam cup....gross. The cleanliness of this place is disgusting, it looks like they haven't been health inspected in the last 10 years. How this is a hot spot in El Paso, I couldn't tell you. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. The parking is also terrible. read more

100% walked in and almost walked out the longer I sat in there the more I overthought I was going to have food poisoning. Would never come back again. Subs were literally just food and that's it. Would much rather spend my money at a deli that cleans something, read more

Their menu will stagger you with so many options. They build subs. True Deli fans would prefer rye or pumpernickel. The meats are top quality with regular sides, including the large pickle. Conveniently located at the Fred Wilson exit from US54. read more

Always Fresh, always tasty, customer service is professional and friendly. Price is unbeatable.

OK, this is a mom and Pop's joint but don't get it twisted just because it's a local mom and pops joint does not mean it does not pack flavor and value for the dollar me and the wife have gone three times in the last month because it's so affordable and so close to our home. The service is awesome. They're friendly. They're quick and they have some good recommendations when I asked for the vibes of the location is very much like an old school cafeteria. If you're a fan of avocado definitely go for the 17 or the 21 and the potato salad great would definitely get it in a bigger tub if I could. read more

I will always say, this is the best sandwich spot in El Paso, fresh cold cuts, fresh bread every time I get food from here, the service is always great except from one hefty older lady with glasses she was rude interrupting me ordering my food and giving attitude when speaking to me while I was being cordial. Don't let that lady ruin your experience getting the best sandwiches you can get out here in El Paso read more

What a fun lil Deli! It was busy here on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. I was very impressed by the clientele when we arrived here. Probably 30 customers and 70% were in their military gear. Service was excellent. Food was great. Prices were awesome as well. We had a party of 6 and we all went away thankful for the good meal!! read more

Brown Bag Deli - Hungry boys - Delis Near Me - El Paso, Texas

We picked up sandwiches to pack for a road trip on our way out of town. This place is an establishment, and fresh bread was piled high on one of the back tables, giving a delicious scent to the air. The staff were super friendly and the ingredients were so so fresh! They even offered to wrap the sandwiches in plastic wrap to make sure they didn't get soggy on the drive. Check this place out! read more

Was pretty good. Just normals sandwich's that taste fresh. Not in the best spot but looks nice outside. Service over the phone was good.

Customer service was on point. Although they were very busy, associates were always smiling and communicating well. Food was great!! Comfortable atmosphere!! Ask for Bobbie or Zach. Very polite and productive!! Thank you for the positive experience!! read more

Not consistent with the amount of meats. Paid for extra meat & sure didn't look or feel like it. Seems to be out of bread a lot.

Went there for the first time today. The subs are huge!!! Got a regular sub which definitely can feed 2 people, a side of macaroni salad and a soda all for under $10. The staff were friendly, and my food was prepared immediately. Not only that, but the quality of meat is exceptionally fresh. The bread is the softest. I absolutely will choose this deli every time for subs! read more

I went here and instantly felt nostalgic -- it reminds me of the pastrami grinders (subs) I used to get up north. The flavor, quality, and freshness are spot on, and I absolutely love it! Definitely my new go-to spot. read more

I come from the Midwest where delis are every other mile, so when I saw this place - I jumped to get there! It's only ten minutes from Bliss, so my husband and I made a quick lunch stop. Don't bother with the soup. But the sandwiches! These are simple, but *chefs kiss*. Decently priced, chips and a few other side options. This is a deli, not a craft kitchen - so don't come in expecting eight different types of breads and artisan aioli spreads. This place felt like home. It was very busy on a weekday around 12:30, we waited about ten minutes though so it wasn't bad. There are tables to if you choose to eat in. read more

Ordered a steak and cheese to go, called in the order, they had my order under the wrong name and gave me my steak and cheese sandwich with no cheese! I asked for the salad with no cheese, but the sandwich also came out dry and bland with almost no onions and mushrooms. read more

I LOVE SANDWICHES - Self professed 'the king of sandwiches BTW! We had there French Dip and there Pastrami sandwiches, both hot. We also tried there macaroni salad and potato salad. The Good! The French dip was really really good, I mean Portland good! The Au Jus was good with it and we were impressed by the overall texture and taste of the sandwich. The Pastrami - It was ok, nothing special. The pastrami was not juicy and flavorful as we were hoping for. Also too much on it for a pastrami sandwich. We are used to "the hat" and "Johnnies pastrami" from LA so it does take a bit to impress. Normally you see Pastrami super juicy, mustard and basically naked with maybe a slice of cheese. Pickle on the side. Potato salad and macaroni salad seemed "Benny Keith" (not made in house). Not something to write home about. I hope this was an anomaly and would love to try this again if they make it in house or do something! OVERALL: Yes, we will come back for the French dip sandwich, and will continue exploring the menu, and update here if needed... Staff - VERY accommodating, the sandwich makers taking orders directly from the line of people at times, I was impressed, and they were super sweet as well, that never hurts! read more

Brown Bag Deli - Turkey Breast Sub - Delis Near Me - El Paso, Texas

One of the best places for deli sandwiches I've been in years. This place does subs the right way for the right price. They've got a lot of varieties, but I usually go for their Italian sandwiches consisting of pastrami, salami, provolone with the lettuce, tomato, oregano, pepper, and oil/vinegar. The real secret to the success is the perfect amount of meat put on bread that doesn't make the sandwich sloppy. Whereas Subway has narrow bread, this place does it right with the wider bread. It's small, but it's a game changer. If you try this place out, you'll be back. They're pretty quick with making your sandwich, so don't worry about the line. read more

This place is a local gem. The same people are working everytime we go. I always order the monthly special or the mini combo. I walk out with one adult and two kids for under $12 with each of us receiving full, fantastic meals. My favorite part of this place are the kids meals! I loathe spending more than $5 for my kids to eat five bites of something. The kids meals here are under $3.00 and my two eat every bite. Don't let the outside fool you. It looks outdated outside, but they serve the perfect sandwiches. A mini sub is huge. Everything I've ordered has always been fresh. I've only ever ordered the cold subs, but my sister in law ordered a pizza sub and I will be trying that next. The person seated next to me ordered a salad and that seemed just has big. The employees are so nice and always seem to be hustling. We are weekly customers! read more

Totally disappointed in the deli. First time here, wife got steak and cheese, I got the French dip with au jus. Below you'll see my sad sandwich. Wife said her beef tasted "odd". My French dip used the same meat. Sadly they forgot the cheese on the sandwich. By the time we got to our house, 3 mins away, we realized we also forgot our chips. (that was our fault) the food did not taste good, the au jus was given to me cold. All around big disappointment. I am curious as to how they have El Paso's best sandwich award 5 years in a row. Perhaps food in El Paso all around has changed since I left this town. Haven't been really impressed with anywhere. I've seen the rave reviews on the deli, but we kinda wish we just went to another place. Hope your meal is better than ours was. read more

A whole in the wall place where there is generally a wait, but it is worth it. Quality fresh sandwiches with a large portion of meat. Bread is fresh. A great selection of sides and even shakes. About the same pricing as a subway, but much more meat and a better quality. Highly recommend! read more

With COVID still being an issue I haven't been ordering/going out as often so sorry if you missed me lol ! But let me tell you about brown bag deli. My wife picked up an order we placed. I got the pastrami with American cheese, mustard/mayo, grilled onion, and banana peppers. My wife got the steak and cheese with peppers mushrooms and onions. They have a $16 special that includes 2, 8" subs 2 sides and 2 drinks. They skimped a little on the meat with both sandwiches but the sandwiches as a whole were extremely good! I could see how a "normal" person would say there's too much bread (hence the reason I say they skimped on the meat) but I LOVE bread and theirs was nice and fresh tasting. A little toasted but still hella good. I will definitely give them another try read more

BLUF: they make some good subs. I've been to several work-related catered events with Brown Bag Deli's six-foot party subs being served. They were also delicious! I think it's a great alternative to a certain sub sandwich chain place that I also like mainly for easy access and convenience. Perhaps, ingredients are of better quality with generous portion and fresher here IMHO. The downside of this location is the parking especially during lunch hours. It's just too busy and crowded between 7-Eleven with gas pumps, Express Pho and this sub shop in a very tight parking lot with not enough parking stalls IMHO. I try to avoid the peak lunch time to the best of my abilities, so that I can have an easier time looking for a parking space. It's just very hard. Of course, sandwich shop being busy during lunch is a good sign since there are many other alternatives for food around here. Once you taste their subs, you will want to come back here as often as you can, I'm sure. Highly recommended! read more
