This is probably the worst Jersey Mike's I've been to as far as food quality is concerned. I ordered the Mike's Philly, and the meat was dry and chewy. The bread didn't taste fresh either. Usually Jersey Mike's restaurants are pretty consistent, so I'm not sure what's up with this location. During my visit to Columbus, Ohio, I stumbled upon Jersey Mike's near the Walmart plaza while looking for something to eat. Although there are Jersey Mike's locations in my area, they're a good 45-minute drive from my home. I decided to give this one a try and ordered a Philly steak bowl with added bacon and other toppings. From the moment I walked in, a helpful young lady explained everything to me thoroughly, making my first visit smooth and enjoyable. I also bought a jar of their delicious pepper sauce. I am gluten free and I love that they have menu options for me & the employees never make me feel bad for ordering it!! Employees took their time to clean as well which was so appreciated & made me feel more at ease eating near so much gluten. Had the new Portabella and Swiss hot sub. Have been trying veggie options lately. This is a hot sub with grilled onions and green peppers. A nice option if you're trying to cut down on meat. This is the closest Jersey Mike's to our house, so we end up at this one the most frequently. It seems pretty okay as far as JM's go. The layout is a bit weird. When you walk in you have to walk through anyone waiting to get to the end of the line. They can be a little slow if there's a crowd, but I think I must be there on off times because I rarely have that problem. What I do love? As far as Jersey Mike's go, this is not my favorite. It's close to my work, so I foresee future visits, but there are some issues I have with this location. They don't take punch cards from other franchisee's locations, which sucks. I mean, so I have to eat ten subs HERE specifically to get a free sub? That kinda blows. They also only have Lay's chips. I don't know if this is a business-wide thing or just this location, but I want those damn Miss Vicker's or whatever. With the good flavors. I made mine a combo last time and was seriously disappointed when I couldn't get jalapeno chips. The customer service at this store is the worst that I have ever encountered. I was told to leave the store by a very rude employee because I didn't have a mask on. I explained that I was from out of town and was not aware that there was a mandate in Columbus. I asked if they had any masks and she snarked "NO!" and told me to leave. I am all for following the mask mandates but since this was my first outing since arriving in town for business, I was not aware. Where I am from, customers are nicely offered a mask if they enter an establishment without one. I won't be coming back here on my future visits! The staff and environs are typical enough, no complaints there, though they don't make the greatest dining experience. Don't get the chicken Parm. It was a messy blop of uninspired chicken drowning in unremarkable sauce. If you ignore that advice make sure you are not wearing expensive clothing and have plenty of napkins--like a whole container of--because the sauce is overloaded and will stain. Ordered through Bite Squad. The food was very good and the order was accurate, but the timing for them to accept the order was terrible. It took over 15 minutes for the restaurant to accept the order. I thought there was something wrong after 5 minutes had passed, so got on Bite Squad's online chat and the agent tried to call them to check on it. They put her on hold and never came back. They didn't answer before the order finally went through, so we sat and chatted for the additional 10 min waiting on them. Service here is the worst in all of Columbus. They complain about having a mixture of online orders as well as walk-ins, but it doesn't take a masters degree to make a sub. When i first walked in, two employees were arguing over what sandwich was being made. The other woman with the braids and tattoos didn't even know what orders were being sent out half the time. Saying the first name and not the last name confused a handful of customers with the same name. Professionalism was not showed at all today, Friday the 12th. Hopefully they get new employees because the ones I saw today was far less than par. Please think twice when ordering here or even eating here. Oh, and when I picked up my order, it was wrong! Yes, Covid. Sure they're trying. But I waited in line 25 minutes only for them to decide to do a very large phone in order before getting my sandwich. It was a lousy day, I was on a break from the hospital, and never in 1 million years thought it would take almost a half hour to get a lousy sandwich.
