Roosters is a bar that serves food albeit good bar food. It's a place where people come to hang out, talk with friends, catch some sports on their plentiful TV screens and relax and than there is me. I love their wall decor which features rock legend photos, thoughtful aphorisms and vintage memorabilia. Let's be clear I'm not above drinking beer and engaging with women either. On this occasion I ordered the marinated chicken with mushrooms and Swiss ($8.99) not fancy but satisfying and tasty. It must have been the fat, butter and beef because I'm pretty certain it wasn't the lettuce and tomato. I had a side order of curly fries ($3.49). They offered a traditional or boneless wing special 10 wings for $9.99. I passed it up along with their pizza, subs, soups and salads. What I did not pass up was their beer. This had been closed for a year or two following a fire and reopened a few months ago. I'm sure I'd been to this one before, but apparently pre-Yelp. Big inside, nice warm sports-bar atmosphere on a cold day. Pretty busy at 1130am on a weekday. Service was friendly and fast. I had a coupon from a hockey game, expiring at the end of the month, and they were on top of it. I got fried fingers, because I'd never had those. 4 because I figured they were small. They were not. 4 big flat "fingers" as big as my hand. Perfectly fried, then dipped in sauce. Enough to coat, not to make them mushy. We'll see how they do reheated. Because dang, that was a lot of food. I got Korean BBQ, savory and a tiny bit spicy. I also got the onion feathers, crispy and tasty and sided with their horseradishy sauce. If I hadn't got them maybe I'd have been able to finish the "fingers." Maybe. Next time I'll get 2. Parking is tight. Big lot, but narrow aisles, made worse by people waiting on spots, driving the wrong way, parking poorly, and the construction next door. The burger was really solid and the fries were hot and crispy curly fries. The wings were breaded and very good! The mozzarella sticks were decent. I am so glad this location re-opened! I ate here twice yesterday! Buffalo shrimp with a bunch of apps for dinner (fried pickles/fried mozzarella/onion feathers) were all delicious. Good dining experience here! Our server was very busy and still took very good care of us! This was our first time here and we got way too much food. The wings are huge and definitely worth the price. I thought I would eat 10, but I only ate five. The wings are very crunchy and the sauce is really good. I think the flats are better than the drums because the drums have extra crunchy breading on them, but the flats are a little softer. The fries and tater tots are pretty normal. I had a terrible experience at this Roosters. I was halfway through eating my salad when I found a cockroach in my lettuce. Absolutely disgusting. They comped the food but still charged us for our drinks, which already felt ridiculous given the situation. What made it worse was the manager's response. When they came over, they were completely nonchalant about it and acted like it wasn't a big deal. There was very little apology or concern, which was honestly shocking. I left feeling sick to my stomach and when I got home I actually threw up because of how disgusted and upset I was. Split garlic parm and medium traditional (mixed) (you can mix up to three different sauce flavors!). Wings were HUGE. Really liked them. Split the roosters mild fried chicken wrap. Didn't feel the kick of the mild, definitely recommend the spicy ranch. Not overpowering spice, super yummy. If you want more of a kick I recommend something spicer than mild for the chicken. "A fun, casual joint" is the slogan of this All-American eatery. While I've only dined at this location once, I frequently get take out. When I did dine in, I sat at the bar, ate some wings, watched a game and had a good time. The menu is straight to the point. Wings are their specialty, but they also have sub sandwiches, wraps and pizza. Prices are lower than other similar style restaurants, which is a plus. So far, I've tried the wings, chicken wrap and chicken bacon ranch sub. My favorite has probably been the chicken wrap. The spicy ranch that comes with it is amazing. Roosters was one of the first restaurants that I went to when I moved to Columbus two years ago... ever since then, I've been absolutely hooked. As of late, I've been getting their chicken tenders dusted with their Nashville hot dry rub. They are incredible and have a very nice heat level. The chicken tenders are huge and very juicy. Chicken Chicken Chicken!! On my way out of Columbus one sunny afternoon, I noticed Roosters from the parking lot at the Marriot. I had eaten breakfast a few hours previously and I was on my way to PA, a 5-6 hour drive. I had to eat quickly and get o the road, so I went over to Roosters for a quick bite. It was a sunny Sunday afternoon right around lunchtime. I walked in and to my chagrin this place was packed. I was lucky enough since I was travelling alone that I got seated right away. I can tell that it is a popular spot as there were people of all ages, from all walks of life and all chicken lovers. I really didn't have time to try anything elaborate I just needed something light and quick. I decided on the Roosters Noodle Soup and The Char-Grilled Chicken Salad. When the soup came out I noticed it was a little thick and gooey, possibly from the bottom of the pot. None the less, the soup had some depth of flavour to it so it was enjoyable. My salad had everything I needed. I was a light dish with succulently grilled morsels of mouth-watering white chicken breast. I loved it!! The dressing was on the side but tasted a little like it was from a bottle and not homemade ( I could be wrong ). Keep in mind I was in a rush, wolfed down my food and had to leave. So I didn't have much time to do a thorough review. I will say aside from the gooeyness of the soup, my meal was pretty good. I would like to go to a Roosters again and try other items. read more

I really think that this franchise deserves a 4.5/5. 4 stars doesn't tell you how amazing they are. I've never been to Roosters even though people raved about it in Kentucky. It's first location opened in Dayton, and they've been successful enough to expand to a few nearby states! And the chicken is very good!! My two friends and I came around 6. It was loud and busy, but with lots of tables open though. You seat yourself so we sat in a booth. Service was quick! We got our waters immediately. As soon as I saw the sweet tea on the menu, I had to order it. Wow! It was warm although they added ice. That's a sign that it was fresh. It was pretty good! And I downed that thing like I had never had a drink of it in my life! My two friends ordered boneless wings. They were bigger than the nugget-sized ones at Winking Lizard. They looked like tenders! Kinda big! One friend got medium and the other got Carolina Gold. Not spicy at all! We also got a side of tots! Yum!! I got the Roosters chicken wrap!! So good with the ranch sauce on the side! It was a good portion size. Prices are unbeatable. I love it!! I paid less then $10! Food came quickly and service was great! Our server came and checked on us frequently and made good eye contact. She cleaned our plates off the table as soon as she saw we were done and she smiled a good amount. Lots of young women work here. Thankfully, it's not a Hooters situation. The restaurant has a huge interior with a big back area so it can support big groups. I got the honey bbq boneless wings. They were big wings with nice,crispy breading but were unfortunately pretty dry meat-wise. I also tried the mild traditional wings which were a bit confusing - they were literally just plain wings with no sauce or dry rub or any sort of flavor. My meal of 5 wings and mozzarella sticks came out to about $12 which is a nice cheap meal for students on a college budget. I thought it was cool that customers can mix and match sauces but I wish they allowed variations of sauce within one dish. If you order ten wings you have to get them all the same flavor.
