I hate artificial flavors and cannot eat them, which makes getting fun drinks a challenge. When I come in, I like getting an iced lavender breve, or one of their special seasonal type of drinks on the menu. The fried potatoes that came with the au gratin schnitzel were left largely untouched on my companion's plate. There wasn't much flavor to my red cabbage, and my spaetzel seemed to be more like a modern day risotto. And this at a restaurant that makes you leave your credit card for a reservation and threatens to charge if you cancel less than 24 hours before. For that, it had better knock my socks off. But my socks are still on, and they won't be walking back to Otto's. Extra star for the great location.
