We were staying at the Albert hotel which is next-door to this place situated on Main Street. Inside there is a lineup of a dozen two top tables lined up on one side of the long room with a 4 top at the back. They do have some covered outdoor seating as well. It definitely has that old timey turn of the century feel to it. This may be called a pharmacy but the only thing you'll find in here is caffeine and carbs. Many of the pastries you'll find here are so sticky and rich that you'll need to wash your hands when you're done. They do have cold wine, beer, water, and other drinks, including some cold food items to go. They actually have the right formula working for them here with very reasonable prices, quality pastries, good coffee, Wi-Fi, and prompt service. Great spot to get your morning going. Ten informative photos included.

Keidel Pharmacy (also known as "The Pharmacy" on Yelp) is a decent coffee shop. Coffee good, pastries good. They also have wine, beer and soda available. Food menu includes breakfast sandwiches and tacos, regular sandwiches, wraps, charcuterie, cookies, etc. Nice space, building architecture preserved. The first table we tried to sit at was dirty from previous guests. Really no reason for that, not crowded, plenty of staff, some just standing and chatting. Not very enthusiastic about ordering and service, likely late in their shift. IMHO there are better coffee shops in town.

This spot is attached to a gorgeous hotel and spa and has such a vibrant and fun atmosphere. Apparently, it use to be a hospital and something else like a boutique at one point. I loved the simple elegance of the decor and the beautiful natural lighting with lots of long and short tables attached along a large bench to sit at and enjoy your coffee and food. I ended up with a cold foam pumpkin cold brew and a veggie taco overloaded with eggs and veg. Both were just perfection. The prices are pretty decent for being on Main street and the employees were very kind. I sat here almost half the day enjoying a good book and people watching. I noticed several furrbabies coming and going, and lots of friendly customers who would discuss their cuties and get little treats from the staff. It was a very enjoyable and peaceful experience, and I hope to come back and try some of their other tacos and treats soon.

Cute spot for coffee and a sweet treat in a wonderful historic building. Lots of options for drinks - including wine. Only ordered an amazing Americano and skipped the tasty looking treats. Lots of seating available and merch for purchase. Very friendly staff and they were very efficient with getting orders out.

The Pecan Cream Cold Brew was phenomenal! Subtle, sweet, and tasty. There was no line placed our order at the counter and added a few sweet pastries that were decadent and oh so flavorful. There was plenty of seating, nice music playing very relaxing on a Cold day in Fredericksburg.

Very comfortable and cool place to take a break from walking outside in the heat. Server behind the counter was very nice and gave good options to select from.

Such a lovely little cafe! The matcha and coffee were delicious! If you prefer a sweeter matcha/coffee, they offer a corner where you can adjust the taste with honey or sweet syrup. Super convenient for people who dislike going up to baristas to fix their drinks. The sausage biscuits were too tasty that I forgot to take a picture before eating them up. Definitely a go-to spot if you're looking for a cute cafe to enjoy a sweet or savory treat.

The pastry were wonderful and the chocolate chip cookie might be in of the best store bought cookies I've ever had.

This is the kind of place that reminds you why you love supporting small businesses…read more My wife and I booked the wine and chocolate pairing experience at Hill Country Chocolate in Fredericksburg, and without question, it was the best tasting experience we've ever had. From the moment we walked through the door, Dan and Melanie made us feel like welcomed guests instead of customers. We were greeted immediately and escorted upstairs to a beautiful tasting room where we spent nearly two hours enjoying an unforgettable experience. Dan is one of the most knowledgeable and passionate business owners I've ever met. He walked us through not only each DKM wine and handcrafted chocolate pairing, but also the fascinating story behind how the business came to be and the meticulous process that goes into making every product. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine love for his craft were evident in every minute of the experience. And the products? Absolutely phenomenal. I can honestly say every single wine and every single chocolate was outstanding. The Moscato, sparkling wines, and red wines were all incredible. The chocolate pairings elevated everything even further. The turtles, brittle, chocolate-covered raisins, chocolate-covered strawberries... every bite was memorable. It was one of those rare experiences where you keep waiting for something to be "just okay," but it never happens because everything is exceptional. The factory itself is spotless, beautifully designed, and it's amazing being able to look through the windows and watch the production area where everything is made. The retail shop is equally impressive, filled with beautifully packaged chocolates, wines, gifts, and treats. We told ourselves we weren't going to buy much... that lasted about five minutes. There was simply no way we were leaving empty-handed. What impressed me most was the precision and care that Dan and Melanie have poured into every aspect of their business. From the presentation, to the storytelling, to the products themselves, every detail has been thoughtfully crafted. It's rare to find a place where the customer service is just as exceptional as the products, but Hill Country Chocolate absolutely delivers on both. If you're visiting Fredericksburg, do not skip this experience. Whether you're a wine lover, a chocolate lover, or just appreciate passionate business owners who genuinely care about giving guests an unforgettable experience, this is a must-do. Bravo, Dan and Melanie. Thank you for an incredible afternoon. We can't wait to come back and will be recommending Hill Country Chocolate to everyone we know. 5/5 without hesitation.

They will offer you a sample when you come in, and you can either do a tasting or just do some shopping there. These chocolates are elite and are priced accordingly. The owner came out and talked to every table while we were there and provided Us with additional samples. Everything was delicious with amazing flavors. They do have wine you can try here too, but this is an amazing non drinking option when in the area.

First time at Vaudeville. We were walking by and saw that the daily special was Buttermilk Fried…read moreChicken, we are always looking for good fried bone-in fried chicken, so we went downstairs to give it a try. Vibe is euro-bistro and the staff is perfectly attentive. Prices are high, but honestly aligned to the quality of the food, at least the dishes we had were worth the prices. Food: Buttermilk Fried Chicken, with Onion/Bacon flash fried collard greens, whipped potatoes and house gravy and Jalapeno Cornbread for $32 Reuben on Marble Rye for $24 16oz Stella Artois for $10 We agreed that the fried chicken (5/5) was the best we could remember having. Whipped potatoes (5/5) were light, fluffy and perfect taste/texture. The gravy was like brown butter (5/5). The collard greens (5/5) were flash fried and if you've never had them like this, it's like eating collard green potato chips. Cornbread (3/4) was a bit too delicate and sweet for our taste. You couldn't pick it up without it falling apart. The Ruben (3/5). My wife loves a good Ruben sandwich. This one had the makings of a good one, but they use a Thousand Island sauce (too much of it) on the sandwich, and it hides the flavor of the meat. Next time we would ask for the sandwich without the TI sauce, see if that improves the rating. The sandwich came with house made potato chips (5/5), a small house salad with vinaigrette (5/5) and a large, pickled cucumber. I know, that's a pickle, but these are cucumbers that have gone maybe a third of the way through the process, so the cucumber taste is really prevalent. Lastly, we had the Creme Brulé (3/5) for dessert. It was nice, but the custard was coffee and caramel flavored, and we prefer the standard custard look and flavor. The caramel should come from the top layer, not the custard. The top layer was a bit too thick as well. We liked it, just didn't love it. Overall, quality food, service and vibe with prices that are aligned to more special occasions than everyday eating out. We'll be back to try the Monday Crawfish Etoufee and the Tuesday Duck Confit daily specials...look too good to pass up.
