The Pharmacy is one of my favorite cafes to visit when I am in down town Fredericksburg. I found the service friendly, the ambiance lovely, but most of all, I enjoy the quality of their flavoring syrups, the majority in which are made in-house. I hate artificial flavors and cannot eat them, which makes getting fun drinks a challenge. When I come in, I like getting an iced lavender breve, or one of their special seasonal type of drinks on the menu. Their baked goods are also created fresh daily and have been tasty and rich whenever I have eaten there. I also feel the prices are fair for what you get. I can't wait to come back soon!! read more

Staying at the Albert Hotel, the Pharmacy is a super convenient cafe right outside. There's a decent amount of seating and they have great bakery items! I got the Pimento Cheese scone and the Blueberry Cream latte. The Pimento Cheese scone was so good, randomly tastes similar to Red Lobster biscuits. As for the latte, it was pretty good, but I don't think I'd care to get it again. The espresso itself was on the stronger side. My mom got the Lavender Honey Matcha and hers was really good, I like that the lavender wasn't so overpowering. read more

Stopped by the pharmacy on our way out of the city! We had an iced butterscotch latte and a vanilla latte for the road! Both were absolutely delicious! Service was fast and efficient! I was please to see they were opened in the evening when we arrived! I had seen it on social media so I was excited to try! It did not disappoint. I got an iced butterscotch latte with oat milk. I got a vanilla matcha extra sweet since I tend to not like the grassy taste of it and the barista here helped me a lot especially because I'm indecisive. She even made it sweeter than usual because I explained to her that I love my sweetness in the matcha. I tried it and it was perfect! We stopped at The Pharmacy in downtown Fredericksburg for coffee and breakfast before hiking Enchanted Rock. It was the perfect spot for a quick bite to eat right in the middle of downtown! The coffee shop is super cute and the decor makes you feel so cozy. I ordered a hot caramel latte, ham & cheese croissant, and split a pecan cinnamon roll with my boyfriend. He ordered drip coffee, a chorizo and egg taco, and an egg and cheese slider. We originally wanted something small before we hiked but everything looked so yummy we had to try a little bit of everything! The latte was solid but nothing amazing. The ham & cheese croissant was delicious and had a Dijon mustard filling that I wasn't expecting but was still yummy! The taco and slider were also a hit. The star of the show was the pecan cinnamon roll! So flavorful and the cream cheese icing was to die for! They were very busy but the service was great and super friendly! I would definitely come back to study, work or read. It's the perfect environment to get work done, people watch, and then enjoy the rest of downtown afterwards. read more

If I could give this coffee shop 10 stars I would. My coffee loving heart loved everything about this spot. It was a former pharmacy and kept the historic feel as well as some of the pharmacy decor. Our second time here. Came a few months ago and loved it, decided to swing by again this morning. Drip coffee is very good. The pastry and croissant was good as well. We decided to try this place and do some work. The staff were very friendly and sweet. They even provided some history of the building as it use to be a pharmacy with doctors offices on top back in day. It is very nice atmosphere and cool to see how they changed some stuff. Before it became a coffee shop it use to be a boutique and I use to work there!!! We ordered a vanilla Latte and chocolate chip cookie. Which we did not like either one. The taste was unique and not to our liking. I don't think we will be back as it is on main street making is hard to find parking nearby. Also, there are many other great coffee shops. read more

The cutest pharmacy/corner store around! We popped by to grab breakfast and were taken aback by the wide open space on the inside, friendly customer service, overall cleanliness and charming menu. We ordered a breakfast taco, kolache, chocolate espresso sort of pound cake, black tea scone and a variety of coffees. 10/10s across the board for our group! One of the nice things about Hotel Albert are the choices. The Pharmacy is part of the hotel, but the store front faces onto Main. After walking around Main amongst the hoards of folks, we ducked in for a snack. We really weren't looking for much on this day, so we got a plain jane Chicken Salad sammy on white bread. Easily picked up in the refrigerated cabinet on your left when you walk in. There are also items, touristy Hotel Albert things there to. The cabinets in front of the bar are full of many lovely muffins and assorted pastries beckoning you to purchase and snarf. We grab a couple of waters and sat down with our simple Chicken Salad sammy. No frills here and something your mum would make you as a kiddo. It was well balanced, crunchy and appropriate salt/pepper. The next day the Suz, got out of bed and ventured down a picked up a couple of their breakfast tacos. A small respite from the over the top room service brekkies we got the morning before. Chorizo and egg/bacon tacos were acquired. Nothing super special here, but they were again just fine. $4 and $4.50 piece, perhaps pricey. However you are in F-Burg so everything is a little bit more. They do have a selection of latte's and such as well as a kick ass Ham/Cheese stuffed pastry thing which appeared on our breakfast tray from room service. Defo get one of those if you pop in. Cool decor with a long bench and tables to sit and nosh away is available. read more

After reading about the Pharmacy/Bakery in the paper, I went in for lunch with a friend about 1 pm. There were 3 employees behind the counter who ignored us for a short time. A greeting and "we will be right with you" would have been more welcoming. Having never eaten lunch there we were not aware that it was a serve yourself deli with regard to the sandwiches. Imagine our surprise when we opened the sandwich bags to find the sandwiches on plain white bread from HEB! This is a bakery, where is the baked bread? The chicken and pimento cheese sandwiches had very little flavor. Needless to say, we were unimpressed with our lunch. We enjoyed the pastries immensely. We went inside and we were like oh this is it. They make their own syrups, pastries from scratch (by the way so good!). Service was good. I love the concept of this coffee shop. They have curated goods placed around the store that make perfect gifts for random people in your life.
