The Kaffee Haus is set in a historical limestone building off Main & Adams with two private adult only areas. Perfect for holding a small meeting or conference calls. It is hands down and twice over the best coffee shop in Fredericksburg in my opinion. The staff is very friendly. They greet their regulars by name and make you feel like family. Lori (owner) is absolutely the sweetest person. We've been visiting Fredericksburg and finally found a coffee shop worthy of a 5 star review. I ordered an Americano which was had a deep, rich flavor. My kind of coffee! The other coffee shops we've tried here all served watered down versions. My wife got sweetheart latte, which she thoroughly enjoyed as well. Staff is friendly. The place itself is very inviting. Another visit to Kaffee Haus this trip. Good coffee, but milk could have been hotter, result warm coffee, not hot. We were on the run, so no time to ask for a quick zap in the microwave. We arrived at this place because it appeared to have more table seating in which we're looking for outlets to use a computer. I'd suggest to get here early if you're looking for exactly that. We had our children with us if we could not use the 2 rooms marked " no children allowed". Only a few food Ireland available, in my opinion very bland and mediocre. We tried the potato , egg, and cheese as well as the sausage and cheese. Coffees we tried were the blueberry waffle and a caramel latte. They do have dog treats. read more

We really enjoyed our stop at the Kaffee Haus. We went on a ghost tour the day before and the tour guides told us about how this coffee shop had opened in an old wheel repair shop. Upon going in, it was really cool to see how the shop had kept some of the fun details of an old shop throughout the place. There were lots of places to sit and get cozy. We ordered cold brew and a couple pastries. The kolache was amazing and the chocolate croissant rivaled some we had in Paris. The only thing is they didn't heat anything up (or ask if we wanted to) and that definitely would have raised the quality. read more

I was too stunned to say anything and quickly noted that they simply charged a latte + peppermint syrup + mocha, then the extra for almond milk. Wow. However, I asked for a sf latte, they made me a hazelnut latte, no problem, they made me the correct one. I ordered a macaroon, they asked if I want a plain or chocolate, I said plain I got chocolate . So, that's 4/5 stars not 5/5. How do you mess up 2 items on a 3 item order? When traveling, you're taken out of your normal morning routine and the coffee you know you love and it's never fun having to play Russian roulette trying to replicate your norm. So I went in here and just peeped at the menu. I decided to take a chance. I got the Americano, iced, adding vanilla and sweet cream. I was so stressed to take that sip, but it was delicious! Everyone took a sip to the point we had to go back and get everyone their own. They have some baked goods, and I decided for the chocolate cookie of course. It was huge and super yummy! I'll expand to more of their baked items on my next trip. There are other jams, shirts, bags, coffee beans, and more you can shop through and purchase as well.
