I ordered the almond croissant & hot cappuccino with heavy cream & vanilla flavor. The almond croissant was out of this world! The sweetness, the nuttiness, the light spices of nutmeg with it's gooey center. I forget that when you order a croissant that isn't just a plain one, they have that sticky filling in the middle, & it's usually not to my liking. But this actually stole the show. I didn't want it to end. The cappuccino was so delicious. The vanilla flavor was airy, the espresso tucked in beautifully with the heavy cream, I was so upset when I finished the last drop. Lots of seating with some tables out front. There was also a water dispenser at the front counter, including a cute retail corner where I found a beautiful coffee mug with a peacock on it to gift to my mom for Christmas. The Yelp description touts gluten-free choices. I arrived before 10am and they were all out of gluten-free bakery goods. The breakfast menu choices were not gluten-free. The only thing they could offer me was a chicken salad on greens. Not my ideal breakfast. I went 15 minutes out of my way to eat chicken salad for breakfast. Hmmm. I won't be back. The coffee is fine, but it's very loud as people are talking the sounds bounce off the walls. I couldn't talk to my hubby without shouting. read more

We spent the entire day on the 4th of July from 8 AM to almost 5 PM at this shop due to the road closure because of rescue efforts on highway 39. The morning was hard to process in so many ways but the kindness we experienced inside the shop gave the day a completely different tone. It became a place of peace in the midst of uncertainty, especially for our 4 year old daughter. Camille, who was working that day, was incredible in every way. She played with our daughter, brought her small "crafts" to work on using creative odds and ends from around the shop, and even colored with her at our table. Her attentiveness and gentle spirit brought calm and joy to a little girl trying to understand a very different kind of Fourth of July--and to parents trying to offer her perspective through the heaviness. She checked on us regularly, along with the other guests, creating a space that felt safe, welcoming, and genuinely caring. The shop itself is cozy and well decorated, and the coffee/food were both excellent--but it was the people and the atmosphere of compassion that made the experience so special. We'll always remember that day and the peace we found there. Lift is more than a coffee shop to us--it's a place where we were safe and genuinely cared for. Lift is the best coffee shop! Service is impeccable, they really get to know you there, and that's hard to find nowadays. The baristas are all so amazing. I've never had a matcha so good as at Lift. Their baked goods are top tier. The ambiance is perfect and there's a great patio for relaxing in the sunshine. I make the trip in frequently. Highly recommend! Gorgeous little coffee shop in Ingram just across the street from the Ingram volunteer fire department and on the other side beautiful historic mural! My new best/fav latte, and I'm talking about Kerrville to the Pacific Northwest! Amazing ice tea and pastries as well! Great place to sit out on the shaded patio and even a game of cornhole for the kids/adults on the grassy lawn! So fun to sit outside on a pretty day, but the inside is delightfully decorated & even the bathrooms are beautiful! Our new fav weekend stop on a lazy day out! read more

Kerrville/Ingram have sorely needed a nice establishment dedicated to coffee and lite pastries. Lift Coffee fills that niche nicely. It has a very pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff. We selected this cafe during the total solar eclipse 2024, as it was in the 100% coverage area. We got super lucky with this place! Not only is it a nice establishment, but we also got free parking (small lot though), bathrooms, food, and a little green spot in front to lie down and stare at the sun. Of course this was a very specific event so I'm sure things are normally a lot calmer, but even with the hustle and bustle of folks out to see the eclipse, the owners (and some teens/young adults I assume were their children) were prompt to take orders, make food, and even re-make some items that were selling out. I was worried we'd have to find another spot for lunch but they have a variety of food options that are "heavier" than pastries. They forgot to call out or bring out my matcha until some time passed (again, it was an extra busy day) and when they realized the mistake they offered to remake it for me so it would be fresh - it didn't bother me at all so I just took it as-is, but I appreciated the concern! They had an eclipse playlist and the owners + their kids came out to sit with the rest of us during the event. Sadly the sky was overcast but the overall experience was made so much better by this location! read more
