Hands down the best breakfast taco I have ever eaten in my life!
    Peyton J.

The Rita I had today was the best breakfast taco I have ever eaten in my life. Kris and his mother Mary have kept Rita's tradition alive and well. The Rita is the golden standard for breakfast tacos. I have eaten 30 different breakfast tacos all around the state these past three weeks and this was by far the best! If you love their salsa as much as I do order a jar of it! Rita's is big league! My first stop when I come back in town! The people here are even better than their tacos and that's saying a lot! Rita's Tacos in Ingram is the spot. #FromTheHeart

I've eaten at Rita's on Earl Garrett in Kerrville for years but today was my first at their Ingram location. My go-to is the Rita (beans, cheese, bacon, eggs and potatoes) and today was no exception. Parking here is much easier than at the Kerrville location, with it's own off-street lot. The interior isn't as large but most of their business is take-out so it doesn't matter all that much. My two Rita's were just as good as at the other location. This isn't always the case with some restaurants but Rita (yes, there really is a Rita) keeps a tight rein on things; she's always been quality-driven which accounts for the popularity of her business. You'll get your tacos on a homemade flour tortilla; take a look into the kitchen and you can see them being made. The staff is friendly, portions are generous, the fillings are perfectly cooked and the accompanying salsa has a nice bite--couldn't ask for more. The place can get crowded in the morning but even if there are several customers ahead of you, your order is processed fairly quickly. And, please, don't forget to drop a little extra in the tip jar--these folks work very hard and deserve it.

By far best Breakfast Tacos. Fresh everything, full of flavor and totally unique. We had the Roy, Tommy Boy, Mexican Rita and Grease Special.

We were looking for a place with good breakfast burritos and decided to give Rita's a try. We're so glad we did! They were incredible! I had a bacon egg and cheese burrito and hubby had bacon, smoked sausage, egg, cheese, cilantro and jalapeño! Both were so good! We will be back for breakfast and we're going to try lunch sometime too!! The prices are good too!

Red sauce but no green sauce please

Great tacos but I need to sell a kidney or take out a home equity loan to eat here. If you have deep pockets give this place a try!

The hotel I'm staying at has a breakfast buffet that's number 2 on the list. I can't tell you how wrong Yelp actually is on a recent Sunday. I put my big boy Wranglers on and headed off to sway the internet into a different direction. I've had plenty of Bourdain moments in my life. Eat local, get the cream sauce (no actual cream sauce exists here). Have a drink in a empty bar (they don't serve alcohol). Sent the GF in to secure a table while I found a parking space (PACKED LOT). Once seated in a two top service was pleasant but there were a few flaws. Like, toast without jelly offered. Don't think I've ever seen anyone dip white bread into refried beans as an alternative. I opted for Migas sorta based on our servers recommendation. I mean, they offer Eggs Sardou. And, brisket, Tex-Mex staples, biscuits, and homemade Blue Corn Tortillas??? Plus, sauce game off the charts with unbelievable red and green salsas. Ok, enough teasing here's the deets. My Migas were interesting but missed the advertised Chorizo as the menu described. Also, interesting that they top the dish with an enchilada sauce. GF chose the Brisket omelette with eggs and cheese mixture. Happy girl minus the lack of jelly offered. And this is where it got real. We sat next to many local families; discussing city issues (Ingram proper) which we overheard. Single men dining all the way to just couples like us. We finally threw in the napkins and headed to the counter to pay only to learn that someone had already paid our bill. This IS the restaurant you need to visit!

These are one of my favorite places to search for, and if they serve biscuits, I just have to try. I ordered the breakfast sandwich to go. You have a choice of bread, in which I chose biscuit, as well as egg, cheese, & choice of meat. I opted out of the meat. And a side of hashbrowns. The woman that took my order at the register was sweet & working hard mending the tables as well. I know the unwritten rule of ordering to-go is check if everything is there & correct. I didn't think I needed to for something as simple as an egg & cheese biscuit sandwich. To my dismay, there was absolutely no cheese. I even pulled apart the folded egg & inspected it to see if maybe cheese cooked into it...nope. Took a bite, still no cheese. I asked for the egg under cooked & it was certainly overcooked with some spots of a light brown but I'll try my best not to hold that against them since it was to-go. And omg the biscuit....a miserable looking biscuit smaller than my palm. Crumbly & soft inside, taste that was decent but nothing close to redeeming the size & not including cheese. The hashbrowns, super greasy! Had a puddle of the grease sitting on the bottom of the box & at seeped bottom of bag too. Very disappointing.
