Asked for water and they charged $4 for 2 bottles of water even though I didn't order bottle water. Breakfast plate - potatoes were cold - beans were warm and beacon was cold. Rita's was great back in 2011, but I came in today and was super impressed. My chorizo and egg taco wasn't super hot and I feel that the tacos are getting smaller as prices are increasing. However, I did enjoy that my chorizo was not super greasy. I sometimes don't like when you take a bite and all the grease comes out onto the foil. I like how they have expanded the size of the restaurant to accommodate more people dining in. My father had the potato and egg taco and his taco was full. He was very pleased with his taco. I chose a four star review because my tacos were warm and the prices are increasing. Now they are $3 a taco, where as they used to be $2.25-$2.50. I've eaten at Rita's on Earl Garrett in Kerrville for years but today was my first at their Ingram location. My go-to is the Rita (beans, cheese, bacon, eggs and potatoes) and today was no exception. Parking here is much easier than at the Kerrville location, with it's own off-street lot. The interior isn't as large but most of their business is take-out so it doesn't matter all that much. My two Rita's were just as good as at the other location. This isn't always the case with some restaurants but Rita (yes, there really is a Rita) keeps a tight rein on things; she's always been quality-driven which accounts for the popularity of her business. You'll get your tacos on a homemade flour tortilla; take a look into the kitchen and you can see them being made. The staff is friendly, portions are generous, the fillings are perfectly cooked and the accompanying salsa has a nice bite--couldn't ask for more. The place can get crowded in the morning but even if there are several customers ahead of you, your order is processed fairly quickly. And, please, don't forget to drop a little extra in the tip jar--these folks work very hard and deserve it. read more

This statement has never rang more true than with Ritas Famous Tacos in Ingram, Texas. A question that has always burned in my mind is where is the best breakfast taco in texas, so to answer that question my friend and i went on a 530 mile journey that spanned from Lubbock to Corpus Christi. 30 tacos later we have come to the joint conclusion that Ritas Famous Tacos in Ingram, Texas is hands down the best. While the downtown Kerrville location is a fantastic establishment as well, we found the Ingram location to be superior. Our control taco throughout the journey was potato, egg, bean, bacon, and cheese. We felt this combination truly tested a restaurants ability to cover the most categories in the standard breakfast taco order. This combination happened to be known as the Rita at this location, so thats what we went with. At a price point of $3.50, you are given a large portion that will satisfy most cravings, but if youre really feeling hungry two will have you feeling like a champion. The first thing i noticed was the freshness of the tortilla. Not too floury, not too thick yet strong enough to hold all the ingredients in, and with a homemade taste that cant be faked. The eggs were cooked to perfection and served in good quantity, and the bacon was crisp and tasty. I particularly liked the use of bean in the Rita. It was not so much as to be overpowering, yet combined with the cheese it helped combine the flavors of the taco to create an unforgettable dining experience. To top it all off the potatoes were expertly seasoned and the salsa was incredible (I personally recommend buying a pint to take home.) 5/5, best breakfast taco ive ever had.
