Cinnamon roll, cold brew and breakfast taco
    Suzy D.

We've come in a few times across multiple visits and we're always excited to grab a cinnamon roll and cold brew or latte. We always have a few modifications on our coffees and they always oblige. We also appreciate they have alternative milks (we got Oat Milk and I believe it was the Silk brand this time) and bean & cheese breakfast tacos as vegetarian options in Fredericksburg are hard to come by. There is ample parking and indoor or outdoor seating plus fun gifts to look at in the shop. We usually walk away with a sticker or something.

Everything is bigger in Texas, right? Yummy cinnamon roll!

Y'all I am mad at myself for not going here sooner. Don't let the name fool you like it did me- it's not just a bake shop, it's a coffee shop as well AND they have a few other food options. Let's break it down since I'm a list maker... Ambiance: cute. Lots of little quotes to read (some are quite funny), great for little gifts for women- didn't really pay attention for guy stuff. There's a good amount of seating (chairs, tables, outdoor tables- different styles even). Great lighting. Noise fluctuates depending on how many people are there and how considerate people are. Temp was just right- I didn't freeze like I do at Starbucks. Food: coffee has always been delicious, I've had breakfast tacos, cinnamon roll and chicken salad with a croissant- all very good. They have salad, pastries/desserts, and a few other items available. Staff: everyone I've encountered has been very nice and has offered suggestions. Cleanliness: this place has been very clean every time I have been there. Even the bathroom smells so good! Misc: there's a parking lot to the side of the building or street parking. Free wi-fi. I've been here about 5-7 times since learning it's a good place to get work done. If I lived in the town I'd be here more frequently but I live the next town over (20 mins) but I make sure to come by a few hours before dr appts to get some work done and enjoy the atmosphere.

Another cappuccino that is not full

We wanted some good cappuccinos and were disappointed today because our cups felt so light. When we opened them we saw it was not full to the top and the taste was just adequate. We tried the breakfast tacos which were just okay. Scone was small and bland. Found this is overrated for coffee and bakery. The space is big and they do have funny gifts. Not recommended.

My wife and I stopped here since our hotel was just two blocks away. I recommend bringing cash otherwise you face the "how much do you want to tip screen" which starts at 15%. I'm all for tipping but it is quite offputting when you're hit with it right up front. And keep in mind it's not like they wait your table either. They do not brew your coffee individually you have to choose from one of six coffee thermoses. The coffee is about as good as Starbucks, but no free refills. The two pastries we ordered were decent. Basically two pastries 2 medium coffees with tip was about $22. They do have some eclectic offerings that they sell inside as well. It was worth stopping in at on a Wednesday morning. I would recommend checking out the weekend reviews since I can't help but think it would be very crowded during that time.

Get: breakfast tacos, cereal milk latte, dulce del Leche latte Avoid: getting here too late in the morning, the breakfast tacos do start to run out The breakfast tacos are good and not a bad price either. The pastries also look really cute but I did not try them! For coffees the cereal milk latte and dulce de Leche latte are both wonderful but were very hot. The service is always very nice as well, and there is plenty of seating and parking.

Apple cobbler cookie and chocolate croissant.

I thought the selection okay and friendliness of employee okay. I bought an apple cobbler cookie, seemed unique to me, and the usual standby of chocolate croissant. Both were tasty. People sat outside and I contemplated that but decided to walk Main Street.

    Dry seven dollar kolache
    Nicole K.

Save yourself the $20 on bland tacos, and dry kolaches. We threw our tacos and jalapeño bagel kolaches out after two bites, they were so bad! The bagel bread was extremely dry and they don't even use a whole sausage for a SEVEN DOLLAR KOLACHE! The tacos were $3.75 for one egg and tiny pieces of bacon mixed in with a thick stale heb flour tortilla. Pretty disappointed. Your prices are very high compared to subpar quality.

    Apple Cobbler Cookie

Awesome Bake Shop every time I go to Fredericksburg I stop in to grab a latte & a cute treat for my pup. The Apple Cobbler Cookies is a must try... I regret buying it & not trying it immediately. Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte was a interesting combination. You taste the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal flavor then a couple of seconds later you get zap of bold coffee taste. The cinnamon rolls are huge!

The staff is super friendly. There are many baked good choices and the coffee is delicious!

Cute coffee shop with funny merch & mimosas! The pastry selection was excellent- they even had two flavors of gluten free muffins.

First of all, I must admit I don't even have a sweet tooth and don't actually eat baked goods on a…read moreregular basis. So for a bakery to get a 5 star from me, they must be doing something right! I got to taste Joyce's cake and meet her in person at a recent Yelp Unofficial Event (UYE) I organized for the Chinese New Year. Joyce attended the UYE and graciously brought a triple chocolate cake she made in her own kitchen! The cake was an instant hit at our event. I personally appreciated the cake for being not overly sweet. If you know me or read my reviews, you will know I hate things that are too sweet!! But that chocolate cake was just right! If you think I gave her bake shop a 5 star b/c she gifted our event a cake, then you are so wrong! I have personally done business with Joyce to warrant my truthful statement. So when I heard about her macaroon offerings, I placed an order immediately. I've tried other business in town for macarons but wasn't satisfied. I had to try Joyce's version b/c she specializes in French baking! The macarons were $2 each and they were great. I got so many flavors and my personal favorite is the almond one b/c it was light and delicious! But Joyce thought they weren't her best so she offered to change up ingredients and let me try more! Geez! I got to know Joyce on a more person level when she came to hand deliver my order. I learned that she is very passionate about baking and her dream is to open her own bakery! But for now she bakes everything in her own kitchen and strives to provide the best products with limited space and resources. What impresses me the most is Joyce's professionalism. She prides in her baked goods, genuinely cares about her customers' satisfaction and constantly seeks feedback to improve her baking skills and products. So if you order from Joyce, you will know for sure that you are dealing with a honest business and are eating cakes with the best ingredients she could possibly find (no butter and no preservatives!). I also had the pleasure to try another cake and some Lebanese cookies from her for my birthday (thanks so much to Luly!). The cake was so pretty and tasted great! I only wish I had more room to eat one more piece of cake after a big Bday dinner. The cookies were so light and refreshing. My favorite is the one with date. The pistachio one probably needed more work. But where else in a city like San Antonio could you find Lebanese cookies, seriously? Most recently, I had the pleasure to try Joyce's Macaron cakes in cup! What is that, you might ask. I didn't know either. It is a new item that Joyce came up with when she was trying to save the macarons from turning soggy. Genius! It is a hybrid of macaron and cake served in a cup! We all know hybrid food are so popular nowadays from Cronuts to Ramen Burgers. This macaron cake in a cup tasted so fresh and natural, not overly sweet at all! WOW! If you don't believe me, ask Chef Roland at Stella Public House! He got to try this new invention as well and raved about it!!! In a bi-cultural city where you are either tex or mex, other culture and food is a breath of fresh air! Joyce's cake bake shop is a great example of bringing diversity to this city! With Joyce's international cultural background and her vision, passion and unique approach on baking, she must succeed! And if a business like Joyce's bake cake shop prospers, then I will have more faith in San Antonio moving towards the direction of becoming a world class city!

You will not regret ordering a cake from Joyce. I will absolutely order more cakes from her in the future and recommend you do the same!

I've had Gigi's before (in San Antonio) and I don't remember if I truly liked their cupcakes then, but I must have not thought that they were so bad not to return. But I guess now I can confirm that they aren't my favorite cupcake. Reason being is, gasp, there is just way too much frosting...trust me, I cant believe I'd ever say that. I got a strawberry shortcake cupcake and while the cake could have also had a softer texture (felt a little too dense), the frosting was overkill. Don't get me wrong, I always love a cupcake with more frosting than cake, but this one just seemed more off balance than I'd prefer. Yet, there were plenty of customers coming in that day to pick up pre-packaged orders, so it could just be a "me" thing, or maybe the folks of Bee Caves prefer their cupcakes on the sugar high side! In Austin, Cupprimo ranks supreme, followed by a good ol' Sprinkles cupcake. The frosting to cake ratio of Cupprimo's cupcake is comparable to Gigi's, but what makes Cupprimo's better in my opinion
