Nice bakery and vibe here. We strolled in at 9:30am just before the 10am Sunday rush. There's plenty of seating outside on the side of the restaurant and some nice patio seating on the side as well. The chocolate cruffin looked much better than it tasted; the chocolate filling just didn't have much flavor. The pastry star was our warmed chocolate almond croissant- good stuff. The croissant was perfectly baked and had a nice, light crisp-like crunch to the exterior. The chocolate & almond flavors melded nicely. Coffees were good, my wife thought her vanilla latte was superb. FYI- most of their hot items are no longer available, just some panninis. read more

Was so excited to try Zulys and unfortunately they had some pretty big issues. First of all ordering took a long time and then actually Getting our items was extremely delayed. Then, the kolache had raw dough in it. Another table near us also sent food back because it wasn't cooked all the way. The cruffin(?) had so much butter the bottom was soggy. The parts of the pastry that was cooked well was very flaky and light, so I think if they executed everything properly it would have been amazing. read more

First all the pastries are amazing! Fluffy layers in the chocolate croissant was so good. The muffins were moist and tasty too. BUT the line and the time it took to get was crazy. My husband dropped me off to run in and grab us some breakfast and coffee before we went out and about for the day while visiting the area. The pictures looked really looked great and off Main Street so I chose this. Wrong move since we were wanting to get somewhere. The total time I was in there was 35 minutes! The line actually moved fairly fast it was the waiting for the order that took so long. Everyone waiting was making the same comments too. Maybe we just hit it wrong and everyone showed up at the same time - they had plenty of staff behind counter, but maybe some were new. If I wanted to go back for the pastries and walked in and the line was short then I might order again because it was good but I would not wait that long again. read more

Only grabbed a photo of one item we got to eat but it was the best and everyone should know that! I can't say enough how delicious this chocolate pistachio croissant was. I came SPECIFICALLY for this after a friend came the day before and raved about it. Upon entering though I noticed the pastries case was near empty as we came around 1 to eat. They had sold out of nearly everything! I asked her to see if by chance they may have one- she said they were busy and sold out but then paused "wait, let me be right back." The cashier ran to the back and when she returned she rang up their last croissant just for us The staff was so sweet, parking was easy as could be, and the shop behind the restaurant was so fun/cute to peruse around. I returned to Zuly's almost exactly a year from my first visit, mostly because I live in Virginia. My experience here, and that of my two friends was every bit as fabulous as my first visit. My friend and I shared scrumptious scrambled eggs, her husband devoured his smoked salmon croissant. The mango jalapeno mayo had a wonderful kick. The strawberry preserves are made in house. My unsweet tea was nicely brewed. We got several amazing bakery items to go. The selections are huge and off the chain delicious! The staff was super friendly, so welcoming and appreciative of our patronage. I cannot say enough about this eatery. If I was local I would make the trek to Fredericksburg. As it is, they have only gotten better in the past year, and they already had my highest and most enthusiastic praise! read more

This is an order at the counter and find seating cafe off of Main Street in Fredericksburg. I was pleasantly surprised with the diverse pastries and dishes they offered. I think they have a Colombian/latin twist on some of their typical American breakfast dishes but it works!! I ordered a chocolate chip cookie (because they are my weakness and this one was so good!) and an avocado toast. The avo toast was probably one of the best I've had. It had cheese on top which really sealed the deal for me. The seating area is pretty big too. Came here for coffee and some sweet treats. First the positives - It's a nice shop with friendly staff. My wife thought her dirty chai was really good. For me, I got a red eye - coffee with an added shot. Unfortunately, I didn't really like the flavor of the coffee. Even with the added shot, it tasted a bit bland and watered down. We also ordered a lemon coconut muffin and a chocolate pistachio croissant. I think the muffin was old. It was dry and the icing on top was hard. The croissant was definitely better. read more

This place was great! There was a bit of a line when we visited on a Sunday morning but we were provided free freshly made buns while we waited which was great since the line wasn't even that long. They have a great variety of breakfast foods and fresh pastries. There's not a lot of sitting room which may be an issue if you visit while it's crowded but otherwise no complaints. To start, the place is nice but tables are dirty. Ok must have been a busy morning. All the napkins holders are empty. Ordered pastries and it took 10 min. To get the order - 6 people in the building maybe the rest in the back half but that is still too long wait for a croissant. It better be worth it - sadly not. The croissant was not what I ordered. I order almond croissant and got a chocolate almond croissant. It was not good the filling was crystallized and gritty. We also got a chocolate croissant by itself and the inside was raw. This place is so much more than a bakery. You can order to go at the counter where you will change you mind 3 times looking at your choices. We chose to be seated on the patio in the great weather. You still go to the counter to order which is a bit of a wait. The menu is vast! Maybe next time we take our menus and stand in line to decide. Our food was fresh and hot. The giant chocolate croissant is, well, giant. And tasty. Buttery. Dark chocolate. This is not your standard HEB croissant. Made in house, and croissants are a hard thing to make consistently. The standard drip coffee is really good, and my wife approves! The chai is hot. After a bit it is also flavorful. Thumbs up! The avacado toast has halloumi cheese on it - sourdough, a thick coating of crushed avocados, and the lightly grilled cheese. Fantastic! The classic Benedict is big, flavorful and excellent. Very filling. Everything we tried was great. An excellent bakery, a solid breakfast and really good coffee and chai. As others have noted, a bit more expensive than McDonalds or Whataburger. This is a cute coffee shop with good pastries. When I come, I usually just get a chai, but I've had various pastries & you can't go wrong with any of them. My favorite dish is the classic eggs Benedict, but to be honest I just stick with just getting a coffee since the prices can be steep. Get here early to beat the lines! My friend and I swung by around 930 for some breakfast and there weren't many people and were able to find seating quickly. You'll be able to find your traditional breakfast plates - pancakes, eggs, etc. I had the eggs with sausage and croissant and it was fine! The fresh croissant of course was the star of the show! My friend got avocado toast and hers came out quickly, mine took some time. I also got a raspberry filled croissant that looked like a muffin. That was amazing! You'll be drawn to their pastries since they're right up front, which I'd highly recommend since they're fresh and delicious. I'd probably get an avocado toast next time though because two croissants for both my main meal and my pastry was a lot! The ambiance is what you'd expect in a cafe - lovely and inviting.
