Huevos Rancheros and a single "famous" banana walnut pancakes did
    Scott B.

We were seated immediately for our late warning mid week breakfast. Service is OK. The best value was a picture of their pineapple mimosa for only $20. Food was served quick. They avocado toast was a very large portion but was only slightly seasoned. The huevos rancheros came out warm, but not hot. Mildly flavored. Their famous banana walnut pancakes did not leave a lasting impression. Come here for volume not flavor.

This is a fantastic spot for breakfast and brunch! I loved the lively atmosphere and the unique decor. Our waitress, Gina, was incredibly welcoming, and the breakfast omelette was truly phenomenal. Just a heads-up: be prepared for a short wait if you arrive during peak hours--it's worth it!

If you are looking for "breakfast breakfast" while in Fredericksburg, look no further than Texas Sunrise. This "greasy spoon" type place serves both breakfast and lunch, but has all the breakfast classics that a diner should. The wait was minimal, the service great, and prices were reasonable. My husband thought some of his food was a little bland but nothing that a little hot sauce and seasoning couldn't fix. The a la carte pancake he ordered was excellent though, as were my breakfast tacos! Portions sizes were perfect. Tip: One may need to park around the corner, but there is plenty of free street parking there.

The food was alright. I was kind of disappointed when I got my food and found out they were out of sour cream. I would've been grateful if I got told that when I was ordering my food but that's fine. The food just felt pretty plain to me. My favorite thing was the potatoes. They were nice and crunchy. The server was sweet and made sure we got the things we needed. The wait was like 30 minutes but it went pretty fast. My overall experience here was okay.

Nice hill country atmosphere and hospitality with delicious breakfast. The What's poppin omelet was sooo good!

I will start with the cliche statement..."I wish I could leave less than one star".....This dumpster fire has it all....poor service, poor atmosphere, and of course and most importantly poor disgusting food. I ordered the chicken fried steak.... it may have just been over microwaved but it was tougher than my 3rd step dad and thinner than my anorexic sister in law......the over easy eggs were fine but that is kinda hard to screw up, the hash browns were undercooked, not crispy and boring. My wife ordered some sort of attempt at chilaquiles and it consisted of two fried eggs tossed over some salsa soaked chips....hard pass. It did not take long to eat a few bites of food and decline on the to go box. Do not go to this dump or believe any of the possible positive reviews, I hope this place goes out of business or flys away in the next tornado.....also your a/c sucks so we got to be sweaty while we waited for the few bites we ate of our $40 breakfast.

Came on a Sunday around 11 with a party of 9. Called ahead to see wait time and upon arrival put our names on the list. The wait wasn't bad at all! Especially seeming it was a Sunday around brunch time. Having the Main Street right there made it fly by. Once seated service was quick and our waitress was very knowledgeable on their menu. The Mediterranean omelette was fabulous there is pesto in it which was a nice new add I haven't seen at other places. Would 100% come back! FYI! Keep in mind parties larger than 5 must all be on the same check.

This was our second time in because we enjoyed our experience the first time around! The food has always been on point with flavor and large portions for a decent price. Service is friendly but we didn't get checked on as much. This place always has a wait time so definitely call in ahead to see wait time and to put your name down. The ambience is fun and it's cool seeing the dollar bills hanging from the ceiling , we did notice that the ceiling didn't have as many bills from our first experience a couple of years ago. This is a must-go!

Service was amazing. Great little breakfast place with some traditional dishes of eggs, pancakes, bacon, etc..,

We enjoyed the atmosphere - it looks like a house-turned-bar and has so much charm. We were able to place our orders at the bar and one of the bartenders brought it out to us in the backyard. We sipped on our delicious drinks while rocking on the swinging bench outside. We decided to share the volcano ashes and floating petals cocktails. The volcano ashes was a bit too bitter for my taste - if you're someone who wants very little sweetness in your drink, this is the one for you. The floating petals was much more my style - the mix of floral tastes was lovely and it was on the slightly sweeter end, just how I like it! We decided on two sangrias after that which were nicely spiced and absolutely lovely. As it got colder outside we decided to move to one of their side rooms, which has nice furniture and is a bit more private than the main room. The bartenders were very kind and the drinks were delicious! Definitely check this spot out on your next visit to Fredericksburg.

Every seat in the place was taken but the bartenders were still on top of it and kept our glasses full the whole night. Like a lot of people, we were there for a bachelorette weekend, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. She also just launched her own bubbles, and they were delicious. It's cool to see a young owner so hands-on and clearly passionate about what she's building.

I can't speak to the negative owner comments as I didn't encounter her, but they seemed to be doing fine in her absence. I can definitely see how some might feel a little uneasy here, as if you don't "fit the vibe" you will look and feel largely out of place which is unfortunate. Granted, that's kind of a Fredericksburg thing in general. Long story short, if you want a place that is gram worthy - this is the dream location. If you want to be relaxed and have a slower more inviting pace, look elsewhere.

When the dish arrived, however, the steak was clearly overcooked and closer to well done than medium-rare. When we raised the concern, the waiter claimed she had told us the meat would come out anywhere from medium-rare to well done due to how it sits in the warmer, and then suggested we must have misunderstood her initial explanation. This contradiction was frustrating and unprofessional, especially as it felt like our concern was being dismissed rather than addressed. Both the waiter and manager insisted the steak was cooked correctly, despite it clearly not being medium-rare. After we sent it back, they replaced it with a filet that was prepared properly. They did remove the original entrée from the bill, but then charged us for the filet at cost. Given the situation, it would have been more appropriate to simply substitute the filet at the original menu price. Unfortunately, my meal was also very underwhelming. The fish lacked flavor and was not enjoyable. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially for a special anniversary dinner. I will say -- the hummus plate was delightful. Light and great flavor for an appetizer. The drinks were also very good too.
