The bartender was friendly and made great drinks! My whiskey sour was made with honeysuckle rye and egg whites and it was so good! And she made hearts in the foam

Cute bar on Main St that we stopped into before going to dinner. We placed our order at the bar and then easily snagged a table in the large space. We had a frozen margarita and a tequila so I can't speak to the cocktail menu but the margarita was great.

The service was great once we were able to get a seat at the bar cause the bar was packed when we walked in. Great place to kick back, relax, have a drink, and be social.

I love to stop by here when I'm in Fredricksburg. It may not look like much but if you are craving a queso hot dog and a frosty beer on a hot day, definitely stop here.

Great drinks! We had the frozen margarita and frozen whisky Coke - both great on a hot summer day. They had a great array of liquor and a few bar snacks (chips, nuts and hot dogs) I think a chips and queso option or popcorn machine would be a good addition as a simple bar food to encourage more, uh, drinking! Overall great experience, great service.

How could I rate this place anything but 5 stars?!? My great grandfather built and ran it in the late 1800s as The White Elephant Saloon. Love it's opened back up as a saloon. A special nod to Chris and Autumn!

Great new bar on Main Street. Fun, great vibes and great drinks. You must try the seasonal the pumpkin cocktail. This is a must try while in Fredericksburg.

The menu and atmosphere were a bit underwhelming. I'd recommend this for a quick stop while on Main, and keep the orders simple.

Initially, the hostess told us they couldn't accommodate our party, but then they changed their mind. The interaction felt uncomfortable, as she emphasized their policies for large groups and mentioned that they normally require a minimum of $145 per person. She ultimately allowed us to bypass that requirement as long as everyone ordered an entrée. Our waitress, however, was wonderful and provided excellent service throughout the meal. I ordered the clam and mussel pot, which I found surprisingly bland, though the bread was delicious. The rest of my group seemed to enjoy their meals much more than I did. Unfortunately, there were also some cleanliness concerns. A spider descended from the ceiling onto our table during dinner, and another bug crawled across the table. There was even a bug zapper in the corner of the restaurant that seemed to be going off constantly throughout our meal. For a party of seven, our bill came to around $700. Given the overall experience, the food quality, and the atmosphere, it felt a bit underwhelming for the price.

We enjoyed the atmosphere - it looks like a house-turned-bar and has so much charm. We were able to place our orders at the bar and one of the bartenders brought it out to us in the backyard. We sipped on our delicious drinks while rocking on the swinging bench outside. We decided to share the volcano ashes and floating petals cocktails. The volcano ashes was a bit too bitter for my taste - if you're someone who wants very little sweetness in your drink, this is the one for you. The floating petals was much more my style - the mix of floral tastes was lovely and it was on the slightly sweeter end, just how I like it! We decided on two sangrias after that which were nicely spiced and absolutely lovely. As it got colder outside we decided to move to one of their side rooms, which has nice furniture and is a bit more private than the main room. The bartenders were very kind and the drinks were delicious! Definitely check this spot out on your next visit to Fredericksburg.

Every seat in the place was taken but the bartenders were still on top of it and kept our glasses full the whole night. Like a lot of people, we were there for a bachelorette weekend, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. She also just launched her own bubbles, and they were delicious. It's cool to see a young owner so hands-on and clearly passionate about what she's building.

I can't speak to the negative owner comments as I didn't encounter her, but they seemed to be doing fine in her absence. I can definitely see how some might feel a little uneasy here, as if you don't "fit the vibe" you will look and feel largely out of place which is unfortunate. Granted, that's kind of a Fredericksburg thing in general. Long story short, if you want a place that is gram worthy - this is the dream location. If you want to be relaxed and have a slower more inviting pace, look elsewhere.

Because of our large group, we had to sit outside, and it was pretty cold. That was definitely a downside, but the staff did their best to make us comfortable--surrounding us with heating lamps, and one of the managers even gave my friend his coat because she was so cold. That level of care really stood out. We initially ordered boudin balls, but they were taking quite a while, so the kitchen brought out fried cauliflower instead. It was good, though a bit heavy on the breading. The pizza, however, was the highlight and would absolutely bring me back. It was crispy yet soft, flavorful, and really well done. Our server was kind, attentive, and apologetic that she couldn't move us inside, which we understood given the circumstances. Overall, despite a few hiccups, the service and pizza made it a solid experience, especially for accommodating a large group last minute.

We had Kristen as our server, she was so attentive and sweet. To start we tried the sweet cornbread, lavender mint lemonade, and regular lemonade. Absolutely stellar food, quality ingredients and great flavors. We had leftovers for sure, lol, something to eat on the drive back to DFW the next day. For dinner, we sat outside and had Jess as our server. She was also really nice, she had quite a few tables and still managed to give us plenty of attention. We had carnitas nachos and the ground beef soup. The carnitas nachos are... unnecessarily large. lol Luckily the soup bowl was very small so I was able to help the boyfriend with some nachos. But my small effort was not enough and he tapped out of the nachos at the halfway mark. Highly recommend the nachos if you have four friends with you. =D This was a great restaurant with a lovely outdoor space. If we lived in Fredericksburg, I could easily see us making this a monthly hang out on Friday nights. If you have the chance, make sure to get in with Kristen or Jess, you won't be disappointed.

Overall, 1 of our favorite food stops on this trip! Our order consisted of 1 order of bang bang shrimp, 1 spinach & artichoke dip appetizer, a shared seared salmon dish (not pictured), 1 blackberry margarita (not pictured), & 1 blueberry mule (not pictured). For me, the best part of our order was the bang bang shrimp. If I get to go back I'll just order 2 of those & call it good! The spinach & artichoke appetizer was good, but offered a pretty standard flavor profile. The seared salmon was the best salmon dish I've tasted in a long time, paring nicely with the mashed potatoes & roasted veggies that came with it. Both cocktails were amazing, but my wife said the blackberry margarita was fantastic. The most negative thing about GH was extremely limited indoor seating availability & the lack of reservations, but now you've been warned. It was a short trip for us, but we will be back to GH on our next visit to Fredericksburg for sure.
