This is a hidden little gem! The food was fabulous and the vibe was fantastic for our low key cousin weekend!!

We were looking for a place to grab dinner in Fredericksburg and PI Social was able to take our last-minute reservation, which we really appreciated. Because of our large group, we had to sit outside, and it was pretty cold. That was definitely a downside, but the staff did their best to make us comfortable--surrounding us with heating lamps, and one of the managers even gave my friend his coat because she was so cold. That level of care really stood out. We initially ordered boudin balls, but they were taking quite a while, so the kitchen brought out fried cauliflower instead. It was good, though a bit heavy on the breading. The pizza, however, was the highlight and would absolutely bring me back. It was crispy yet soft, flavorful, and really well done. Our server was kind, attentive, and apologetic that she couldn't move us inside, which we understood given the circumstances. Overall, despite a few hiccups, the service and pizza made it a solid experience, especially for accommodating a large group last minute. read more

I really hate to give less than stellar ratings. The good: The pizza was really good! The cocktails were good enough. I liked my wine. The facility is good, the decor is good. But...the music didn't really match the vibe. Honestly the place just overall lacked soul. No one was unfriendly but the bar staff (where we sat) was not particularly friendly. One of the best management teams in my opinion. The wife runs the bar and the husband oversees operations. Pi Social launched a great happy hour food and drink menu. Thursday nights (seasonal) they bring in artist that are really good. My experience, they have come from the Midland/Odessa area. If you're in Midland, check out their original location. Pi Social is the premiere location if you have children joining you. The have a HUGE kid safe area with activities like ping pong, corn hole, connect hour, and other activities for the kids. If you sit on the patio, you will have direct sight. They also offer single person, gender neutral bathrooms and a number of them. They're kept clean. My personal favorites, the salmon entrée, bone in wings, and their pizza. read more

Stopped in yesterday for lunch on our trip to Fredericksburg. It's a bit hard to find , actually, but well worth the effort. Firstly, the place is clean , cute and cozy. There is outdoor seating available as well. Our waitress, Cindi, was excellent. She was friendly and helpful. My husband and I both the pizza on her recommendation. I had the wild mushroom white pizza with confit garlic added. AMAZING. The crust was so crisp with perfect chew. My husband had build your own. Peppers, onions , mushrooms & sausage. We had the rustic pizza weeks ago, and I am still daydreaming about it. We sat at the bar, the ambiance was lively, but service was a bit slow on a very busy Saturday night. What a cool spot! Great vibes, friendly staff and amazing food! The portions are large! Honestly it was so good that we just kept picking at our food even after the point of being full. The bread on the burgers tasted super fresh and homemade. The fries were crispy and just enough flavor. We ordered a slice of chocolate cake to go and let me tell you...... it was INCREDIBLE! We came here on a Friday afternoon around lunch in a party of four. I will caveat that we arrived here and from the jump they told us that they were busy and that the wait time for food would be about 45 minutes. Being as that none of us were from Fredericksburg, we elected to stay and wait - and were appreciative of the stated expectation of wait time to eat. The place has a pretty modern interior, dark and lamp lit for a nice evening out. As we passed the bar, it looked full service with liquor, draft, and bottled beer. It also had a large outdoor seating area, with TVs, and different active activities for families with rambunctious kids. Room for sure for them to get their energy out. We were seated and the waitress was by pretty quickly for our drink order. All good to this point. But then things, well, slowed down. At least the service did. The drinks were a long time coming. Which we again, were understanding of, as they were busy. But just about as we finished our first round of drinks, the place began to empty out in earnest. We thought this might mean they'd be back sooner for refills. When the waitress came and grabbed our food orders, but our drinks sat empty. We asked for refills but didn't get them until the food arrived. First it was our apps, well within the 45 minute window they said it would be. Which had us all in a good mood. We'd ordered calamari and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks looked good but they were more of a nugget/cube than a stick. Flavor was there. But they too were cold. The cheese tough and the consistency was closer to dry play dough than the gooey, stretching cheese pull consistency you want. The calamari really let me down. It was cold. From the first piece I picked up off the plate, cold. I figured it would have been hot to order, but the temperature made me wonder if it had been sitting out a while. A lot of the crunch had gone and while it was not yet too chewy - it was lacking that juxtaposition of a crisp outside and chewy inside that hallmarks good calamari. I will note their tartar sauce had a Spicy zip to it which was very much appreciated. And I normally don't go for the tartar sauce. There was not the same temperature issue with the main course. We ordered two pizzas (the Wagyu and outlaw) their burger and a chicken Alfredo. All were hot, fresh and delicious. Two of the main courses were delivered inside the forty-five minute projection - again, very much appreciated. (The other two were later due to an issue outside of their control and that will not be held against them.) We ordered another round of refills (we were seated outside in the sun, so we were all drinking a lot of water). However, the refills we asked for then, did not arrive until our food was done and we were looking for the check. The food quality for the main course was great. But the appetizer's inconsistent temperature and touch-and-go service really left a counter productive impression. I'd give this place another try, I guess. It seemed what really hurt it was the service. It was inconsistent and slow. Having worked in a restaurant myself and understanding how things can be when the kitchen is backed up, I know how important it is to stay on top of drinks during those moments. Similarly, for the food to arrive cold on a hot appetizer when you asked for patience waiting. Again, this was an issue with just the apps, as the entrees were good. But it was an issue all the same that had us wondering if the food was repurposed or sitting under a heat lamp too long. Might be back again. But not gonna rush it. read more

This place has so much going for it! It is located inside a mall type community gathering space, complete with an outdoor party place out back. The outdoor space has ping pong, a stage, lounging chairs, fire pit, a rooftop seating area...so much fun! Pi Social also has outdoor seating, so you can be part of the happenings out back. The food was delicious and our waiter, Jimmy, was very attentive and friendly. We went another couple times and he's remembered us each time. The manager checked on us at each of our dining experiences. I tried the Chicken Alfredo the first time and it was very good. The ladies I was with had the grilled salmon with brussel sprouts and they enjoyed it. The second time I tried the mushroom flatbread and it was fantastic! This place is a vibe! We enjoyed it so much we came twice. Once for happy hour and once for brunch. We sat at the bar but they have a nice big welcoming patio. It was just too warm for me. Pi Social (Fredericksburg): A Long Wait, a Loud Room, and the Curious Case of the Canned Peach Fredericksburg is a town that knows food. It knows wine. It knows peaches. So when a pizza place has a wait so long it feels like a spiritual pilgrimage, you assume you're about to be rewarded. People don't stand around that long unless something transcendent is happening inside. Reader, it was not. The ambiance is essentially bar, but louder. The kind of loud where conversation becomes a competitive sport. There are some genuinely cool rock photos on the walls--credit where it's due--but otherwise the room offers very little romance, mystery, or reason to stay once the food arrives. It's a place that says, "Eat fast, shout your feelings, leave." Now, the staff. The hostesses? Great. Warm, organized, doing the Lord's work. The overall staff seemed solid and capable. Our waiter, however, drifted through the evening like a background character in a movie about better service--not offensive, just deeply uninspired. He existed. He delivered. He vanished. We ordered three appetizers because the menu whispered promises. And then came the pizzas, which raised a very serious theological question: how does one mess up pizza? Let us begin with the peach and prosciutto pizza. On paper? Inspired. Poetic. Very "we summer in Tuscany." In reality? Canned peaches. CANNED. In Fredericksburg. Home of the Texas peach. A town that celebrates peaches the way other towns celebrate saints. I stared at that pizza like it had personally betrayed me. The pepperoni pizza didn't fare better. It tasted like something you'd grab at a gas station while questioning your life choices--except this one was twenty dollars and served with confidence. And that's the real issue: the confidence. At roughly $20 per pizza, you expect craftsmanship. Or at least effort. What we got felt rushed, careless, and oddly indifferent to the fact that this is, in fact, a pizza restaurant. So here's the truth, spoken plainly and lovingly: with so many excellent places to eat in Fredericksburg, Pi Social is an easy no. Long waits, a shouting-match atmosphere, and pizza that commits crimes against local agriculture do not justify the hype. I wanted magic. I waited for magic. Let me start this review by saying This place has one of my favorite pizzas I've ever had. We ordered the peach and prosciutto pie and it was amazing. I love the local peach being incorporated into a pizza. It was definitely canned peaches, which is fine. But it would have taken it to the next level if it was fresh/local peaches. So the pizza is amazing- here's what we didn't love. This place isn't really marked well. You walk inside and you will go straight back to host area near a wall with a P/S logo. We did not have reservations, which apparently is a must/non negotiable If you're trying to dine in. We were totally okay with getting it to go- and we were advised it would be about 20 minutes until it was ready so we gave them our name and number . We hung out in the immediate area and were hanging out. About 40 minutes passed and we went to check on the pizza and it was just sitting up front and probably had been for about 20 minutes. We asked the hostess and she said she "called our name out" which we clearly didn't hear. So that was just weird to us. I can only imagine how much better the pizza would have been if it wasn't sitting out for 20 minutes. read more

I want to Pi here! Tucked away in a tiny shopping area, is a modern restaurant with modern music, lots of TVs and a unique menu. I had the Rustic pizza, and - pay attention- added chorizo. Talk about genius. I saw it on an another dish and was undecided between the two until - eureka! Duh. Add it to the pizza! voilà! Two waiters and the table next to us eyed my pizza. I didn't share. The ingredients and bread are quality. Wife had boring spaghetti. We got a house salad, greens were fresh, and Bruschetta (okay). I ordered blueberry cheesecake to go. Because, Cheesecake. It's one of the best I've ever had after 50 years of eating them. Must have. And it elevated my experience to 5 stars. Our waitress was good too. I'd go again and get that other dish I wanted. I really enjoyed Pi social! I came for a late lunch on a Saturday around 3pm, and what I do want to note up front is that they literally ONLY had pizza available on their entree menu, nothing else was available at that time. Thought it was odd but we came for pizza anyhow so didn't matter much! They did have salad too - my friend and I ended up ordering the Cali pie on a gluten free crust, and a simple salad with the orange salad vinaigrette. Pizza was quite good! Will be honest, I think I would've preferred regular crust; the menu actually recommends gluten free and my friend is gluten free so no choice there, but I did find it to be a bit on the doughy side as opposed to being soft and springy like regular bread. Nevertheless, the toppings were great and I liked it! And the orange shallot dressing was REALLY good imo, it's quite similar to a traditional vinaigrette but you do get a shallot flavor underneath and I think it's really lovely. The service was good in my opinion, they were fairly busy when we came in and we were in a bit of a hurry (had an appointment later) so we had to flag folks to take our order/get the cheque etc, but I won't count that against them since they were doing the best they could and we were trying to move quickly. The vibe inside the restaurant is also pretty good, nothing terribly fancy but it's clearly newer so it's got a bit of a modern feel, and it's overall a nice place for a drink and some pizza :) bathrooms inside the little plaza where it's located are also IMMACULATE and there's plenty of parking in the lot. read more

We arrived at the appointed time of our reservation and were seated immediately, and herein lies the end of the positive part of the review. It took 45 minutes to get our food out, salad and a pizza. The salad came with the pizza but was requested in advance. The pizza wasn't hot and the salad wasn't good. Requested no croutons, gluten free, and it was covered in croutons and their crumbs. Our server was pretty much non existent after she took our order. We had to go find her in order to pay our bill. She then stood there while I was getting cash out of my wallet waiting, watching....a most awkward experience. Not sure why it is a recommended restaurant when visiting Fredericksburg unless it's for the yard games out back and live music. read more

We are in Fredericksburg at least 2-3 times a month and this weekend was able to try out Pi Social. We came for dinner and ordered pepperoni pizza and the chicken Alfredo. The pizza was amazing.... seriously the cheese pull was too notch and the flavor was so good. I had a coconut mojito and a G Wagon. Both very good. The atmosphere was very music base with pictures of Lil Wayne, post Malone and a mural with Selena on the wall. They have an outside patio and the back space for the entire complex is so fun for adults or family. I am adding this to my list of highly recommended restaurants in Fredericksburg. we've been here twice now and it was a pleasure both times. the ambiance is wonderful and relaxing. staff are friendly and helpful. the menu seems to be a variety of options & their food is so delicious. Everything we have ordered and tried has been fabulous. There's a cool area for kids of all sizes to have some social fun, play games next to the restaurant which helps bide the time but when we visited they were never overcrowded as we went during the week off hours. we did go one thursday evening and they had a live 2 person band/entertainment and that was a nice treat as well as the happy hour prices on some of the appetizers and drinks. read more

I think the name of this place is supposed to be some kind of a play on words and say "we do pizza". They do. It's extremely underwhelming, in my opinion. My nine year old still orders it but I won't and neither will my partner. That being said... I've never been disappointed by their wings! Little pricey but I don't mind it for good wings. The salad she ordered last time was good. The dressing, Strawberry vinaigrette, was seriously SO delicious and has tempted even I, basically a carnivore, to order a salad. The salmon with the salad was well prepared and also delicious. That's all you'll get from me on the food. We've been here a small handful of times but, I'm sorry, we're creatures of habit. The waitstaff has never impressed me. They're adequate, barely. And we intentionally go out on less busy nights. Located in a small shopping plaza (had trouble finding it). BEST waiters we had during our weekend trip! I had the French toast with fresh fruit and the bacon was INCREDIBLE.
