    Chilaquiles with red sauce
    Kara C.

We're always on the lookout for hidden gems when we travel, and this spot absolutely delivered. The chilaquiles and the hangover omelette were both standouts. It's definitely a place we'll be returning to next time we're in the area.

Out of towner who eats here once or twice a year. The place is awesome. Really. Name something. It's good. Cuban? Yep. The various egg plates for breakfast? Yep. Chicken-fried steak? Yup. Burger? Pancakes? Benedicts? Yep, yep, and yep. Go here!

Wonderful "Hangover" omelette! Spicy, very well cooked, and stuffed with all kinds of goodness. Fast and super friendly service. Easy in and out. Highly recommend.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Eric (who was also our server) and told we could choose our table. We chose a table near the front of the restaurant and looked over our menus while we waited to take our order. The place itself is an older restaurant, clean and comfortable. I ordered a standard 2 egg breakfast with toast and potatoes and sausage. The restaurant itself was quite busy and Eric was hustling as he was the only server at that time. He was upbeat and friendly and never made us feel rushed. Our food took about 15 minutes to arrive. The eggs and potatoes were hot and cooked to order. If I were in the area again I would definitely go to try other menu options. Thank you Eric for your excellent service.

Quality food, quality service! Very delicious. Amazing fish and chips. We had dinner here after being recommended. They gave us complimentary fried plantain dessert. Can't wait to come back to try brunch!

Service 10/10. order came out wrong after 25 minute wait. Waitress apologized. Asked for sauce on side because I knew ranchero sauce would make chips very soggy. Good flavor, but couldn't get past soggy chips. Did they additional chips. She did ask I wanted new plate but I said no because we didn't have time to wait another 30. Husbands fruit had mold on grapes and strawberries. Husbands eggs Benedict were over poached eggs and little sauce but good flavor. Home fries/ potatoes had zero flavor.

    Ravioli tasting ranchero sauce

Ranchero sauce taste like raviolis. Nothing Authentic!!! At all Nothing is homemade at all. Coffee taste like Maxville house weak and keep in a thermos lukewarm at best if there not busy. not sure how this place ever got to number one breakfast. They must have a lot of friends running Yelp. Disappointed

We went here with some good friends who live in Fredericksburg. The recommended it because it's is not always overrun with tourists, and is in a great location. I liked that it was easy to access, so much so that I didn't need my wheelchair. We were able to be conveniently seated next to a power outlet for my oxygen machine. In fact, there were a few tables not far from electrical outlets. The food and service were outstanding. The waitress was very friendly, and took our orders right away. She was friendly and kept the chips and salsa coming. They were quite good. The food came quickly enough that I didn't kill my appetite with the chips. My husband had a burger with bacon and egg, topped by a jalapeno and French fries. He loved it. I had the eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise sauce was very good, and tasted like it was made right there, not reconstituted. The eggs were poached to perfection, and the ham with thin sliced and not fatty. The hash browns were some of the best I've ever had. The menu has a wide variety of food, so there is something for everyone. I intend to eat here again the next time I'm up there in Fredericksburg.

We came here for breakfast and had a great meal! My sister and I ordered the plate with eggs, potatoes, breakfast sausage and a pancake. The eggs and sausage were the standard but the pancake was fabulous! It was fluffy and melted in your mouth. My mom ordered her go to, everywhere, chilaquiles. She was happy that the chips were thick and came smothered with sauce. The service was on point and we were seated immediately on a Sunday morning at 8am. Overall a good experience!

    Chilaquiles
    The A.

No flavor at all! We got the chilaquiles and French benedict. Beans were bland and so were the potatoes, we couldn't even eat them. The hollandaise sauce was basically just lemon juice squeezed on top. The chilaquiles were good but the only edible thing on the plate. We came on a Saturday and there were many tables available when we arrived so not insanely busy but got busier as we ate. Good diner feel. Servers were great, although personally I don't like when people in food service have those extremely long fake nails, she could barely set the plates down on the table and I kept thinking about how gross they probably are touching everything.

Good breakfast in a nice atmosphere with good service and a great family run business. Sauces on the meal and sides tasted homemade, my favorite was the green sauce, chips were crispy and eggs over medium cooked perfectly. I would recommend this fine restaurant!

Excellent service, plus fresh and very delicious meal! We enjoyed a nice, quiet lunch during the week. Nury's always has the best salads, but the burger looked especially tasty today.

Cold brew with vanilla, caramel iced latte... yummmm! We started with zucchini fries and they were hot, crunchy and delicious. I had the brunch burger (it was huge!) with sweet potato fries. I love their sweet potato fries. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, substituting bacon for ham, with a biscuit and gravy on the side. The Eggs Benedict was good. I loved the unexpected touch of Swiss cheese, which added a nice twist to a classic dish. The hollandaise was a little on the sour side, but the bacon was cooked perfectly. The biscuit and gravy was the real star of my meal, so good that I almost wish I had ordered it as my main! Definitely getting that next time. My husband went for The Big Ass Sandwich and loved it. Fair warning- it lives up to its name. It's big, it's messy, and it's absolutely worth it. He said the same thing I was thinking: we need to come back. We'll definitely be returning on our next trip to Fredericksburg. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great breakfast spot with good food and even better service!

I was very excited to write this review about the positive experience and I had here. In my images, I showcase a beautiful French omelette. It is so easy for people to get omelettes wrong and overcook them until they are a rubbery mess. But mine was very soft, decadent, and fluffy with a very beautiful balance of all flavors present in the dish. I also appreciated the salad that came with it because I think starting the day off with some fiber is very healthy for the body. In the past, I've had the steak and eggs and it was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. But when I came to visit on this specific day, they were out and happily recommended the omelettes instead. It can get crowded, but I don't agree with the reviews here that say the restaurant gets too loud. Let's be honest. Fredericksburg has a certain type of demographic and at times I feel they are unfairly nitpicky to the local businesses. When the restaurant is crowded, it's lively and full of smiling faces and servers who are eager to serve and make sure that you enjoy your meal. Restaurant was also clean on our visit and the restrooms were well taken care of. I can't wait to come again for breakfast!

They were pretty booked up but as it was cold outside they let us switch our reservation from patio to bar seating. We really enjoyed our meal. The waiters were very attentive and happy to talk through the menu with us. Ultimately we decided on a pretzel as our appetizer, with lamb chops as our entree to share and a side of kasespatzle. The pretzel was warm and a nice size and we thoroughly enjoyed the beer cheese. We finished the cheese halfway through the pretzel and the waiters were kind enough to bring us another one. Next for the kasespatzle - which from my understanding is the German version of mac and cheese. It was very tasty and hearty! More filling than I expected. The lamb chops were the crown jewel of the night - rich and succulent and paired so well with the asparagus. The chef was kind enough to make another lamb chop for us as she saw how the meat shrunk while cooking it. The meal was so tasty and a good size for sharing! We were very full by the end. Unfortunately, this experience felt less like a restaurant opening and more like a dress rehearsal no one stopped. First problem: location confusion. We went to what turned out to be their second spot--which, crucially, was not called Nurys on the sign. Same ownership, new space, old identity crisis. Walking in felt like entering a building that hadn't yet decided what it wanted to be when it grew up. The lingering aroma? A strange duet of fish, antiseptic, and industrial cleaning agents. Not hunger-inducing. More "urgent care with a fryer." There was no one there, which made sense--it was between brunch and lunch--but somehow the wait for food felt disproportionately long for what arrived. What arrived, sadly, was mediocrity wearing a Tex-Mex costume. They seemed to be aiming for Tex-Mex but landed somewhere closer to Tex-Flex--stretching flavors thin until they snapped. The barbacoa was fatty in a way that suggested less "slow-cooked tradition" and more "glistening regret." It didn't taste authentic, or even especially intentional. Just heavy. The guacamole--perhaps the most unforgivable offense--was bad. Guacamole is avocados, salt, lime, and love. That's it. This had none of the above. The waitstaff wasn't rude, exactly--just possessed by the clear energy of people who would prefer you to finish quickly so they could resume their real lives. Hospitality should feel like an invitation, not a countdown. Now, maybe the original Nurys is wonderful. I hope it is. But if that's the case, why open a second location only to phone it in? Expansion should mean excellence multiplied, not care divided. There are too many good places in Fredericksburg doing things right to settle for something half-hearted. This one wasn't terrible--it was worse. It was forgettable. And that's the real disappointment.

Right away, the service felt off. Our waitress didn't even ask if we wanted drinks before jumping straight to, "Are you ready to order food?" Then she disappeared for long periods, even though we were basically her only table besides one other couple. The food was extremely underwhelming -- basic, barely warm, and nothing memorable. On top of that, there were so many flies inside that we were nonstop swatting them away. And to make matters worse, there was a bug in my drink when it was served to me. That was pretty much the final straw. Overall, a very forgettable and disappointing experience. We probably won't come again, and I would not recommend it.
