Great appearance and lively ambience. We hoped to sit outside as billed on a Wednesday- "Not tonight." A 25 minute wait so we sat at the bar. I guess we were in a weird spot. But they fixed us. We ordered the combos. It looked like a lot of food but some of the reviews were true. No on the puffy queso. Yes the chips dips fall flat. Mediocre

Great Mexican food! We're here for a long weekend and I was craving Mexican food. Conveniently located off the main street with Publix parking lot across the street. We got there a little after 5 on a Friday evening and wait time was 15 minutes. We definitely beat the dinner rush because it very quickly became packed. We shared the 1lb black angus beef fajitas and it was absolutely delicious. Homemade tortillas were excellent. $6 house margaritas before 6pm and there great. Service was wonderful. Would definitely come back again!

We traveled to Fredericksburg for a bachelorette weekend and decided to try Los Tios Mexican Restaurant after finding it on Yelp. I had no idea Los Tios was originally a Houston establishment, so that was a pleasant surprise! We ordered the puffed queso and crispy tacos--both were good and very filling. The tacos were a little on the greasy side, but honestly, I still enjoyed them. The chips and salsa were so good, definitely one of my favorite parts of the meal. I didn't order a drink myself, but I tried my sister's margarita and it was strong and yummy, just the way a margarita should be. The ambiance was eccentric and fun, which made it a great spot for a bachelorette trip and added to the overall experience. The service was great! Manager came out to greet us! Overall, it was a solid stop during our trip, and since I live in Houston, I'll definitely be checking out a location there to compare. Would recommend if you're in the area and craving classic Tex-Mex.

Happy hour treat - Alice Nachos & Mango Margaritas with tajin rim. YUM

Los Tios NEVER disappoints! Went in for happy hour & was magically served this yummy sampler plate of Alice Nachos. What a delicious treat, followed up by another mango margarita & beef fajitas nachos. Wonderful ambience, a fun staff & say hi to Patty, she's part of the management team. Don't miss out on a special appearance from Aaron too. The entire team aim to please! 5-Star every single time.

What a fun and tasty spot! I was invited here, and I see why people around here like it. The bartenders were friendly/smiley and all staff here seemed to check on you regardless of whom your main server was. That is huge in this day and age. I really enjoyed the green sauce they served with the chips. The red sauce seemed a bit watery...could just have been an off day. So I will give that one a shot again next time. The fixtures around the bar area were gorgeous, as well as the presentation of the drinks and food. The margaritas were refreshing and a really great deal during happy hour. My only complaint was the bar area had some fruit flies. But that is an easy fix. Overall, I would definitely come back here and try more dishes with this type of welcoming and professional atmosphere.

Bean chalupa & puffy queso was awesome.

Lunch was wonderful. Sat at the bar, and the restaurant was pretty busy. The food came out fast & hot. We enjoyed the puffy queso + bean chalupa with rice & beans were. Great margaritas were great - loved the blood orange margarita, it was nicely sweet yet tart! My wife liked her perfect margarita with sangria. Chips and salsas were flavorful and didn't melt my tongue. Great food with very reasonable prices! They do NOT serve brunch on Sunday. We'll be back.

Quick service. They threw in a puffed Queso shell. It was not the star of the show. In fact, not really great at all. Instead of salsa and queso like most places, they serve salsa and guac dip. Fresh sauces and fresh hot chips. Excellent. Happy hour $6 margs were okay. I could actually taste the tequila. 4:00 was perfect. They got slammed after we got there. Cool bar, lots of i door and outdoor seating. Street tacos 9/10 Salsa 9/10 Guac sauce 10/10 Margs 6/10 Service 10/10 Ambiance 9/10.

We loved this place so much, we came two nights in a row! The Ultimate Margarita was very tasty. Hubby had ground beef enchiladas the first night and the quail the second! Both were amazing! I had the Stuffed Pastry Queso both nights! Absolutely amazing. Our servers were on point and we enjoyed meeting the manager

The food here was amazing! Some of the best Mexican food I've had in Texas. The food is so fresh and so fantastic! The ceviche tostada is amazing! The fajita beef is delectable! Cooked to perfection! The supermex bowl was so good!

Disappointing Mexican food! 100% Skip! Ambiance & Service: the restaurant is large with a cute ambiance and lots of seating. Service was fine but nothing to write home about! Food: - Cheese Enchiladas with Spanish Sauce: Soggy, lacked flavor, and too salty! The sauce was practically just chunky marinara sauce. Completely off-putting! TL;DR: Cute place for drinks but food was a huge miss. Stay away from the Spanish Sauce!

Los Tios in Fredericksburg is a must-visit! The food is outstanding, with the chips and salsa being a personal favorite--fresh and full of flavor. Happy hour starts at 3 PM, making it a perfect spot to unwind. I can't say enough about the service, especially from bartender Luke, who was exceptional! His friendly vibe and drink recommendations truly enhanced the experience. If you're looking for great food and a welcoming atmosphere, Los Tios is the place to be!

However, they will charge you for a cup of water and there is a $.40 service fee which I cannot explain. At least there was no credit card fee, but the tip screen was waiting. To be honest, their bacon and egg basic taco is pretty average, nothing special, but their red spicy sauce definitely took it up a notch. Their potato sausage and egg taco barely had any discernible sausage to it. It's the communal salsa bar that really makes the tacos extra special. They do have a fountain drink station, bottled soda on ice and a pot of coffee by the order window. You can get quite a variety of mixed drinks like margaritas along with numerous beer choices, although no local beers. Because of the value and sauces, I would definitely come back to this spot again. And just so you know, they do not have a public bathroom here and they are closed Monday. Ten informative photos to fill in what words miss.

Unfortunately, this experience felt less like a restaurant opening and more like a dress rehearsal no one stopped. First problem: location confusion. We went to what turned out to be their second spot--which, crucially, was not called Nurys on the sign. Same ownership, new space, old identity crisis. Walking in felt like entering a building that hadn't yet decided what it wanted to be when it grew up. The lingering aroma? A strange duet of fish, antiseptic, and industrial cleaning agents. Not hunger-inducing. More "urgent care with a fryer." There was no one there, which made sense--it was between brunch and lunch--but somehow the wait for food felt disproportionately long for what arrived. What arrived, sadly, was mediocrity wearing a Tex-Mex costume. They seemed to be aiming for Tex-Mex but landed somewhere closer to Tex-Flex--stretching flavors thin until they snapped. The barbacoa was fatty in a way that suggested less "slow-cooked tradition" and more "glistening regret." It didn't taste authentic, or even especially intentional. Just heavy. The guacamole--perhaps the most unforgivable offense--was bad. Guacamole is avocados, salt, lime, and love. That's it. This had none of the above. The waitstaff wasn't rude, exactly--just possessed by the clear energy of people who would prefer you to finish quickly so they could resume their real lives. Hospitality should feel like an invitation, not a countdown. Now, maybe the original Nurys is wonderful. I hope it is. But if that's the case, why open a second location only to phone it in? Expansion should mean excellence multiplied, not care divided. There are too many good places in Fredericksburg doing things right to settle for something half-hearted. This one wasn't terrible--it was worse. It was forgettable. And that's the real disappointment.

Right away, the service felt off. Our waitress didn't even ask if we wanted drinks before jumping straight to, "Are you ready to order food?" Then she disappeared for long periods, even though we were basically her only table besides one other couple. The food was extremely underwhelming -- basic, barely warm, and nothing memorable. On top of that, there were so many flies inside that we were nonstop swatting them away. And to make matters worse, there was a bug in my drink when it was served to me. That was pretty much the final straw. Overall, a very forgettable and disappointing experience. We probably won't come again, and I would not recommend it.

They had live music playing from a traveling guy out of Vegas (can't remember his name, but it was two guys' first names)--it was such a nice touch for a weekend lunch. I also really appreciated that they served my Coke in a can with a separate glass of ice and a straw. It's a small detail, but I love being able to drink a cold can with a straw. The rest of the group seemed to love their food too. My fiancé got the fish tacos and they looked great, as did the Reuben sandwich my MIL got. Highlights: The Service: Our server was a rockstar. Even though the place was slammed, she were super fast and every single order was 100% accurate. The Fries: Seriously, don't skip them.
