    Chicken Bacon Avacado sandwich.
    Patti B.

Wonderful breakfast, brunch, lunch spot. Really wanted to try several things, but settled on the Chicken, bacon, Avacado sandwich with chips. I expected homemade chips, but instead came out with a bag of Zipps on the plate. My husband had the burger with fries. I loved my sandwich, and the burger was good. We splurged and got a Key Lime Pie to split. It was good too. The graham cracker crust was falling apart on bottom. I thought about trying the quiche, but read the sandwiches were great - and it is True! Service was great, even after the place filled up. Did not have to ask for refills of water- it came. This is a great place for espresso and pastries. Great gift shop there also. Enjoyed it, and it is a great place for lunch with the girls, or business lunch. They close at 3 - so it you go get there before then.

Food was very very good. Service was average. The place is cute, they have a little store inside which is nice to keep you busy while you wait for your table.

We ate here for lunch, it was a nice relaxing environment and great food. The service was excellent. We got our food fairly quickly. - we ordered : Pesto chicken pizza California Bbq Chicken pizza Turkey bird Sandwhich Old school burger

Our meal! We shared the Spinach Salad and BLAT Sandwich. The salad was split on two plates for us.

Cute place, that includes a little shop. Slllloooowwwwwww service from our server. Had to ask for refills on water, and ordered our pie from the host as he was passing by. LOVED that they had gluten free options with ok pricing. Food: citrus vinaigrette needed mustard or other binder. GF bread needed toasting bc it fell apart immediately. While we were eating, there was a buzz from the patio bc several tables had been sat with no service. After our meal, we shopped the little boutique but were turned off by the shop owner being on the phone, on speaker, the whole time. Great concept, has the right pieces, food was good, just needs a LOT of work on service.

We have been to the old location a couple of times. This is our first visit to the new location. Of course, it looks great - the ambience was outstanding, the ceiling was very high, great decorations for the holidays and the tables were placed very smartly. As for the food and service, what can I say, the food is consistently great and service is outstanding. They have one of the friendliest and young servers. Let's talk about their desserts! Oh my goodness - their coconut cream pie is sugar heaven on a plate. It was delicious! Also, Sunset Grill is being built in the same compound as Woerner's. They are owned by the same people and they're two of the best restaurants in the city. I'm a little worried about the parking issue when both eateries will open but it is not my problem. As long as I can get one when I go! It's going to be a treat to decide where to go eat at!

I have had this place on the radar for a LONG time, so when the opportunity came up to go, off I went. Luckily we got seated right away and the service came quickly and friendly. Our mimosas came out fast and we were impressed on how full and tasty they were. Well worth the price. I had the Mother Earth sandwich - crammed full of fresh tasty veggies - and the side salad. The sandwich was delicious, not just because of the fillings, but also because of that tasty whole grain bread. The side salad was just an assortment of greens, but the house-made balsamic vinaigrette dressing took it up a notch. The new location is a hit! The place retained its warehouse feel but also gives off a very warm and welcoming vibe. We very much enjoyed our visit and look forward to more.

We randomly picked this place for a lunch date while visiting Fredericksburg. What a happy surprise!! The food, drinks and service were all great! The place is absolutely adorable and has lots of seating available. I had a salad and tomato soup with an Aperol spritz and they were all delicious. My husband had a sandwich and said it was really good too. I completely forgot what sandwich he had though. Definitely recommend eating here if you're in Fredericksburg!

ChatGPT raved about Sunset Grill, so we hopped in the car and zoomed down. Upon arriving, we walked into the cramped restaurant, and we were greeted by a nice hostess. She put our name on a list, and we had a brief 5-10 minute wait before we were seated. We were handed menus and left to peruse the menu. After a brief wait, we were greeted by our waiter and he took our drinks. In good time the waiter was back with drinks and he took our order. I ordered a bacon and cheese omelette. It came with potatoes and toast. The wife ordered the plate with eggs over easy, crispy bacon, and potatoes. The wife and I sat and had a nice visit. We should not have drank our drinks so fast, as they stayed empty the entire time we visited. Our waiter not once made eye contact so we could get a refill either. After an average wait time, our food came. Our waiter noticed the drinks and then refilled them. My omelette was undercooked and watery, the cheese was not melted, and the bacon was chewy. Furthermore, the toast was also very dry. I would have gotten butter to put on them, but the waiter never came back to check on us. The wife's eggs were cooked over hard, the bacon was rubbery, and very underwhelming. Our drinks went empty and we never got refills, again. We paid the bill and went shopping. I was glad to get out of there. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews, but I think they missed the mark here. ChatGPT did me dirty on this one. I don't know if they just were having a bad day, or what the deal was, but this was a one and done for me. I cannot say I recommend this one. I was very disappointed.

Vibe is euro-bistro and the staff is perfectly attentive. Prices are high, but honestly aligned to the quality of the food, at least the dishes we had were worth the prices. Food: Buttermilk Fried Chicken, with Onion/Bacon flash fried collard greens, whipped potatoes and house gravy and Jalapeno Cornbread for $32 Reuben on Marble Rye for $24 16oz Stella Artois for $10 We agreed that the fried chicken (5/5) was the best we could remember having. Whipped potatoes (5/5) were light, fluffy and perfect taste/texture. The gravy was like brown butter (5/5). The collard greens (5/5) were flash fried and if you've never had them like this, it's like eating collard green potato chips. Cornbread (3/4) was a bit too delicate and sweet for our taste. You couldn't pick it up without it falling apart. The Ruben (3/5). My wife loves a good Ruben sandwich. This one had the makings of a good one, but they use a Thousand Island sauce (too much of it) on the sandwich, and it hides the flavor of the meat. Next time we would ask for the sandwich without the TI sauce, see if that improves the rating. The sandwich came with house made potato chips (5/5), a small house salad with vinaigrette (5/5) and a large, pickled cucumber. I know, that's a pickle, but these are cucumbers that have gone maybe a third of the way through the process, so the cucumber taste is really prevalent. Lastly, we had the Creme Brulé (3/5) for dessert. It was nice, but the custard was coffee and caramel flavored, and we prefer the standard custard look and flavor. The caramel should come from the top layer, not the custard. The top layer was a bit too thick as well. We liked it, just didn't love it. Overall, quality food, service and vibe with prices that are aligned to more special occasions than everyday eating out. We'll be back to try the Monday Crawfish Etoufee and the Tuesday Duck Confit daily specials...look too good to pass up.

Unfortunately, this experience felt less like a restaurant opening and more like a dress rehearsal no one stopped. First problem: location confusion. We went to what turned out to be their second spot--which, crucially, was not called Nurys on the sign. Same ownership, new space, old identity crisis. Walking in felt like entering a building that hadn't yet decided what it wanted to be when it grew up. The lingering aroma? A strange duet of fish, antiseptic, and industrial cleaning agents. Not hunger-inducing. More "urgent care with a fryer." There was no one there, which made sense--it was between brunch and lunch--but somehow the wait for food felt disproportionately long for what arrived. What arrived, sadly, was mediocrity wearing a Tex-Mex costume. They seemed to be aiming for Tex-Mex but landed somewhere closer to Tex-Flex--stretching flavors thin until they snapped. The barbacoa was fatty in a way that suggested less "slow-cooked tradition" and more "glistening regret." It didn't taste authentic, or even especially intentional. Just heavy. The guacamole--perhaps the most unforgivable offense--was bad. Guacamole is avocados, salt, lime, and love. That's it. This had none of the above. The waitstaff wasn't rude, exactly--just possessed by the clear energy of people who would prefer you to finish quickly so they could resume their real lives. Hospitality should feel like an invitation, not a countdown. Now, maybe the original Nurys is wonderful. I hope it is. But if that's the case, why open a second location only to phone it in? Expansion should mean excellence multiplied, not care divided. There are too many good places in Fredericksburg doing things right to settle for something half-hearted. This one wasn't terrible--it was worse. It was forgettable. And that's the real disappointment.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and seated quickly. Our waitress, Toyna, was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made us feel welcome throughout the entire meal. We started with the Cajun-style onion rings--thinly sliced, perfectly crispy, and served with a side of ranch. They were absolutely delicious. For our entrées, we both ordered the All-American cheeseburger with fries, and they were outstanding. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right, while the fries were hot and crispy. I'd easily give the meal a 9 out of 10. I paired mine with a local stout from Altstadt Brewing Company, which complemented the burger perfectly. My significant other ordered the iced tea, and you could actually taste the tea leaves--fresh, smooth, and one of the best restaurant teas we've had. Before leaving, we asked Toyna what dessert she recommended. Without hesitation, she suggested the made-to-order peach pie, and we're glad we listened. It arrived piping hot with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, topped with homemade whipped cream, and paired perfectly with a cup of fresh black coffee. The combination was incredible. The peach pie was a 10 out of 10, and one serving is more than enough for two people to share. This restaurant gets a whopping 9.5 out of 10.
