What a cute spot! Their pizza looks delicious! We didn't try the pizza tho. Ha! My companion and my self both ordered something else and I totally forgot to take pics of our meals, so grabbed a pic of our server's pizza! My friend had the chicken salad sandwich. I had the dill pickle soup. She loved her sandwich. I didn't love my soup... it was ok tho. We sat on the patio and loved that it was off the beaten path with easy parking. We defiantly would choose to go back... for that pizza!

Went for lunch on a Monday. Prices were affordable. I had a pizza and a salad and companion had a reuben sandwich with pasta salad. Was not the best pizza. But I would come back to try other things on the menu. The service was ok and the setting was rustic. They also had outside seating and could accommodate a lot of people. Lunch was not busy at all.

I enjoy going here frequently. Staff is friendly. I enjoy the pepperoni pizza, French dip and the Jalepeno popper dip! Skylar is a great fun bartender.

We went here for a drink and nachos. The server was very attentive and outgoing. The nachos and salsa hit the spot.

The spinach-artichoke dip was creamy and tasty. Chips were very lackluster. Enjoyed my THC mary jane blonde, wife liked her sangria.

But they said we could go in the bar and wait and as we did a table opened up that we all fit on which was awesome! The bar area was just like you'd expect to see in Texas. Cowboy hats, wooden floors to dance on. The music they were playing was a mix of old school 90s and 2000s which I appreciated! We ordered our food which took about 50 min to come out! Thankfully we were all enjoying the vibe that it distracted us from how long we had to wait. Even for a 9 top on a Saturday night, almost an hour seems still too long. I asked if they could take the batter off my chicken fried steak but they told me no that's essentially a steak and I'd have to pay full price for a steak which was upwards of over $50. Which was silly to me. My stomach doesn't do well with a lot of fried but the mashed potatoes and homemade gravy for the fried steak and veggies that came with the chicken fried steak sounded good so I wanted that versus a regular steak. And after I ate it I instantly regretted it about 30 min later bc although it was yummy at the time, boy did it do a number on my tummy. Just heavy. So wish they'd made that accommodation for me instead of trying to nickel and dime me. But the live music and dancing that followed helped me take my mind off it (and the sweet bartender who gave me warm lemon water for my stomach). The band was awesome and they played top 40 hits. The crowd was friendly and had a great night singing and dancing celebrating my sweet friends birthday. Such a great atmosphere and would love to bring people there and do it again. Maybe next time, I'll just order chicken ;)

First course was crab lobster cakes. They looked over cooked but tasted pretty good. Next I had the French onion soup. It smelled of burnt cheese when they put it in front of me. But once I got passed that, the souo was good. Hubby enjoyed his cesar salad. I ordered surf and turf with risoto and broccolini. The bacon wrapped shrimp was also very charred and steak was very very salty. It was however cooked to order. If you like a lot of salt then you may like it. The risoto and broccolini were good. Hubbys rib eye was rare (mooing) just like he likes it. He enjoyed the seasonal vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. Desert is made to order so it took about 30 minutes after order to get it. But it was worth it! The wild blueberry pie was the best part of the meal. It was a large handpie stuffed with these flavorful wild blueberries and ice cream on the side. We were full but managed to eat the whole thing! 8'oclock is when the music starts in the saloon. If you want a nice quiet romantic dinner then definitely go before 8. The music was very loud. In the saloon it was way too loud so we didn't stay for the band.

He must have connections with the owners, cause he definitely wasn't hired for his bartending abilities or people skills. My friend is pregnant and had so clearly not had any drinks tonight, so we believe she was absolutely racially profiled. Wanted to try a different restaurant this past weekend and was craving a Pastrami Reuben sandwich…read moreso I looked on Yelp to find some good suggestions. Found this place, looked at the menu and checked it out. The place is very rustic, lots of wood and western-themed. We were asked if we wanted to sit outside or by the bar but I wanted somewhere quiet so we sat in the dining room off the main entrance. Lots of light flood thru. A musician was setting up outside but it was still a little chilly for me. We were the 2nd couple who was in this dining room as most were in the bar area. I passed by on my way to the bathroom and it was open towards the back deck so it had a nice vibe with college football playing on the screens. We were greeted by the waitress and ordered drinks--iced tea and Diet Pepsi while perusing the menu. We both ordered the Pastrami Reuben which came with a side. I chose the Warm Potato Salad to try it out and hubs got the Sauerkraut which was surprisingly warm and fresh. The waitress said "You've never had warm Sauerkraut??" And we hadn't! She also said if I didn't like the Warm Potato Salad, she'd give me something else. Our sandwiches came shortly thereafter and I'd say they were great! The meat was juicy and tender and a good portion, the rye bread wasn't too thick which was nice and just a little Swiss cheese was added and some Sauerkraut. I took some of my hubs' Sauerkraut to add a little more to 1/2 of my sandwich. He loved it and ate all the Sauerkraut with joy. I tasted my Warm Potato Salad which is a German style and the first 2 bites were okay. Then it got too vinegary for me so I just ate the bacon bits and just another bite of potatoes. I know where our next stop is the next time I want a Pastrami Reuben! I took photos of the building on our way out as it had lots of character.

Our server was a lovely older gentleman, who tried to accommodate us despite issues with the kitchen. The weather was nice and we enjoyed sitting outside with live music. Not so good things: Sitting outside was nice, except the musicians had their music way too loud for the size of the space and it was a restaurant, not a concert venue. We literally had to yell to hear each or the server. The kitchen was backed up so it took forever for our food to arrive. The food was also pretty expensive. We don't visit Fredericksburg very often, but I think we'll stick with Auslander when we want German food.

My husband ordered the tri-tip,…read moreand when ordering, the waiter stated it could only be prepared medium-rare or more well done -- not rarer -- and we placed the order based on that. When the dish arrived, however, the steak was clearly overcooked and closer to well done than medium-rare. When we raised the concern, the waiter claimed she had told us the meat would come out anywhere from medium-rare to well done due to how it sits in the warmer, and then suggested we must have misunderstood her initial explanation. This contradiction was frustrating and unprofessional, especially as it felt like our concern was being dismissed rather than addressed. Both the waiter and manager insisted the steak was cooked correctly, despite it clearly not being medium-rare. After we sent it back, they replaced it with a filet that was prepared properly. They did remove the original entrée from the bill, but then charged us for the filet at cost. Given the situation, it would have been more appropriate to simply substitute the filet at the original menu price. Unfortunately, my meal was also very underwhelming. The fish lacked flavor and was not enjoyable. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially for a special anniversary dinner. I will say -- the hummus plate was delightful. Light and great flavor for an appetizer. The drinks were also very good too.
