We came here after hiking at Colorado Bend. It was amazing! We loved Nicole, she was was s kind and friendly! The food was amazing! I got the veggie pizza and a moscato. It was everything I needed at that time!!! I loved everything about it! The only thing is that the setting was not as Italian as it should be for an Italian restaurant. It looked kind of old and needs a refresher. Other than that perfection!

This place was a real treat. It is a nice place with a lot of locals, a little removed from the tourist areas. Cloth napkins, I would characterize the lunch menu as Italian comfort food with some more authentic options for dinner. The service was excellent and we enjoyed everything. Bread was addictive and it was hard to leave any on the table.

Friendly service and the food is always great! I've had the fried ravioli, lasagna, Alfredo. All is good

Bella Sera feels like a diner where you come in, grab your bites and go buy you can definitely come in and hang for a while. It's got plenty of space and the food came out pretty quickly. We had great service from Nicole. She's super nice. They have Italian food but we came in for the pizza and it was delicious! I had the gluten free 14" meat lovers. Good size. Tasty! Price was ok for the area but the real deal came with the drinks. Basic wine and beer but they were quite affordable!

I usually don't write reviews, but my experience at Bella Sera in Fredericksburg was so shockingly bad I feel obligated to warn others. First off, the food was unacceptable. The salami on my parents salad was brown and visibly discolored--clearly not fresh and possibly unsafe. My mom also noted the salad did not taste correctly. So I decided to take it back to the store. Took it to the very nice young man in the front and he went to his boss and his boss loudly asked "whats up man". The young man shows the food to his boss and the Boss automatically looks at me and begins to complain that my family and I keep coming back (mind you we did not get the correct order the FIRST time). He then comes from the back kitchen.... Even worse than the food was the treatment I received. The owner continuously and adamantly referred to me as "girl" in a condescending tone, which felt racially charged and deeply disrespectful. When I said "Excuse me, what did you call me?" And he looked me into my eyes and said "GIRL" and I, at that point let him know my full first name. At one point, he literally threw my salad onto the front table and yelled at me from the kitchen. After continuously letting me know "He cut it today girl". The meat was 2 different colors of brown and grey. It was demeaning and completely uncalled for. After my aunt called the manager and asked what happened he proceeded to lie and say I caused a scene and that he called me "ma'am". Then admitted he called me "Girl". She then educated him on what the phrase "Girl" means according to African Americans in America. The atmosphere was chaotic and hostile--nothing like the welcoming, family-style service you expect in Fredericksburg. I left feeling angry and disturbed. Bella Sera is not worth your time, money, or dignity. I will never return, and I strongly encourage others to avoid this place as well.

Not sure how the reviews are this high. Food is mediocre. This is the spaghetti noodles I had to remove from the meal to have enough sauce to eat. House salad dressing is good but the highlights end there.

There was about a 45 minute wait for our party of 7, but the hostesses were very attentive and kept us updated on timing without us having to ask which we appreciated. Bread is brought to the table with oil and spices when you're seated. The bread itself seemed like standard grocery store bread and was room temperature, which was a bit underwhelming. The food came out very quickly, which is convenient but it did feel like the dishes were prepared more for speed than detail. Most plates were fairly oily and heavy on the cheese. Prices are reasonable, and the service was efficient, so we were in and out quickly. While it wasn't a bad experience overall, it just didn't quite live up to the hype for us and it's probably not a place we'd return to. That said, I can see how it might appeal to those looking for a quick affordable Italian meal.

Social House -- Breakfast Done Right (Just... Very Close Together)…read more Social House is the kind of breakfast place that reminds you why brunch became a lifestyle in the first place. The food is genuinely good--thoughtful, fresh, and clearly made by people who care about flavor and your well-being. This is "healthy but not sad" breakfast, the kind that lets you feel virtuous without punishing you for it. The menu is strong across the board. Everything tastes intentional, balanced, and well-executed. You can tell someone in the kitchen understands restraint, texture, and the delicate art of making vegetables feel like a reward. Is it slightly overpriced? Yes. But it's the kind of overpriced you accept with a nod, because the plate in front of you earns most of it. The place is busy--very busy--but that's just life when a restaurant does things well. People show up. The issue isn't the crowd; it's the compression. Social House packs people in like a breakfast Tetris game. Tables are close enough that you accidentally learn about strangers' weekend plans, dietary restrictions, and relationship problems. It's communal in a way no one asked for. And that's really the only thing holding it back from five-star territory. The experience never quite gets to breathe. The food wants you to linger. The room says, "Eat joyfully, but quickly." Still, the staff handles the chaos with professionalism and grace, and the overall vibe remains warm and welcoming despite the controlled madness. This is a place that knows what it is: a popular, well-run, genuinely good breakfast spot that feeds a lot of people very well. Bottom line: if you want a healthy, tasty, reliably excellent breakfast and don't mind sharing oxygen with half of Austin, Social House delivers. One thing that makes this restaurant unique is that there are actually cabins situated directly across from the restaurant that you can rent out and stay in known as the Cotton Gin Village. We were seated in one of the upstairs dining rooms with lots of wine on display. One draw about this place is their incredible selection of Texas wines. They also feature some Texas beers and great signature cocktails, even wine flights. We started with Ron YatesCabernet and a martini. They do offer several of the Texas wines by the glass, nothing from CA. There's only a choice of 10 entrées on the menu and 8 appetizers all of which are enticing. They do give you a sample of their carrot soup, but no complementary bread. I decided on the chicken fried ribeye and paired it with the Reddy cab. My wife had the grilled pork tenderloin medallions. The chicken fried ribeye was very tender with plenty of lobster chunks on top and no gristle whatsoever. The pork medallions were equally as delicious and the 3 cheese grits were a perfect pairing. This was my wife's birthday and we reserved a table for 6:30 pm which worked out perfectly after a long day of wine tasting. The atmosphere was exactly as we had experienced last time, but this time we sat inside the restaurant instead of outside. It was pleasant, not noisy, and had a very nice semi-formal dinner vibe. Our server (Edie) was very gracious and friendly. She quickly sat us and filled water glasses, brought menus and let us know that there were no specials (my thought was "after all this was a Wednesday night ;0)") There was a very nice card at our table wishing my wife a happy birthday, and Edie brought us a complimentary small serving of a very delicious soup (Roasted Carrot & Ancho); nice touch! I ordered a Hill Country Martini, which was delicious (ice cold with jalapeno-stuffed olives). They do have a date night special offering on the menu, but that would have been too much for us. We decided to each order a salad (I had the Steak Knife Wedge and my wife had the Tejas Ranch Caesar). We wanted to split the 14-ounce ribeye as we had a fairly decent lunch during our wine tour. The salads were large and full of great stuff! The wedge was loaded with chunks of blue cheese and bacon over ice cold lettuce. My wife's Caesar was delicious, and the dressing was perfect. Our steak was cooked to perfection (medium-rare) and served with mixed grilled veggies that were amazing. The steak was perfectly flavored, with amazing char, and mated perfectly with my martini. For dessert, we were provided a free piece of delicious cheesecake (birthday celebration for my wife) and it was very, very good! Overall, this was a much better experience than we had in 2023 and we will most certainly be back for more! Ambiance - 10/10 Service - 10/10 Food - 10/10 Value - 10/10
