Not really a fan of Java. I've been here a couple times now and it's def not my favorite. Besides my drink always being kind of meh, nothing special, the ambiance is not quite right (the music is always too loud to get any work done, at least for me) and the menu is very limited. Most importantly, none of the baristas were wearing masks until I walked to the register to order, then they took them off again after I ordered. A couple of customers walked in without masks as well, despite the café's mask requirement. I personally did not feel safe in this environment, so I had to leave. This place is SO great! I must say, I judge coffee shops by how easily accessible outlets are and this one definitely checks that box. Add the smoothest coffee you've ever had and this place is a win for any work block where you need a spot to hunker down. There are even conference rooms you can rent for $15/hr. if you need a private space to work or take phone calls. Java House is a great place for a quick meeting in the general seating area but you can also reserve and rent meeting rooms, making it the perfect place to collaborate and brainstorm. Java House Coffee Bar in Clay Terrace is a great coffee house! I have been quite a few times since they recently opened. The atmosphere is your ideal atmosphere - quiet, low key, peaceful. It is the ideal out of the office location to get work done, meet with friends to catch up, or just to get out of the house. They also have a couple side rooms available for smaller groups to get together to meet. During my different visits to Java House Coffee Bar, I have tried a couple different beverages. Recently, my favorites have been the Cranberry Sangria Hibiscus Tea & the White Chocolate Caramel Latte. If you are in the area or just looking for a new coffee spot, I would highly recommend Java House Coffee Bar! I've gone here twice, the first time was completely fine, but this last time ( 2 weeks ago) is making me write this review. I love the whole atmosphere and building, and the girl who took my order was SO nice. Unfortunately, she was not the one who made my drink. I ordered a vanilla iced latte... not hard to mess up I wouldn't think. When I got it... it seriously tasted like 10 cent K-cup coffee. Watered down, instant coffee with no vanilla at all. I was sooo disappointed and could barely stand to drink it, it just tasted awful. Maybe the worker just messed up, but it was definitely the worst coffee I've had from a coffee shop ever :(. read more

Damn, I really wanted to be obsessed with Java house. It's not that it's not bad - it's just still in the growing pain process. The Good: - The Nitro was great! It's an extra $1 but worth it. Splurge on the larger size. Much better than Starbucks! - The inside is roomy and very aesthetically appealing. - Service was quick and fast - You can rent a private meeting room for $15 an hour - You can purchase their pods on-site. I LOVE their cold brew coffee. It's fantastic! The Bad: - The plug situation is lackluster. If you are planning on needing an outlet for your stay, I suggest bringing an extension cord if possible. - No food. I heard that they are considering bringing in some small bites. Even if they just had a something from a local baker to snack on... that would be nice. Otherwise, you feel awkward staying past when your drink is gone. The Ugly: - The internet situation is dumb. I consider myself extremely tech-savvy and I had to ask the barista how to connect. You click "accept terms" but then you're still not able to connect to the internet. They require you to enter in either your phone number, Instagram handle, facebook or email. I'm not a fan of that type of data farming, so I stuck with the good ol 867-5309. I highly recommend they make changes to this asap I am looking forward to seeing the growth of Java House in the future. read more

Good coffee shop to come study or work. The ambience beautiful, spacey and neutral colored. I got a regular caramel latte; which was good, but nothing unique. It seemed like they had many great specialty drinks that intrigued me. However, I didn't try because they were all cold drinks. Great place to study and they have a really cool concept where they have little study rooms or conference rooms for easy meet ups. Really cool layout for small social or business gatherings! I ordered their pumpkin spice latte as it is the right time to do it and it was good. However, it is on the pricey side. It doesn't taste any different from a Starbucks PSL but priced close to $7 for a 12 oz.! Also they only offer coffee/tea drinks on their menu, no pastry display case which I wish they had. Also one other thing, they only have a one person restroom facility so sometimes there is a line waiting when it gets busy there. I go to Clay Terrace quite a bit and was very excited to see that a new coffee shop popped up. I went in and really liked the interior. This would be a great place to study or catch up with friends. The staff was friendly and willing to help. I decided to order the English toffee special drink. I asked the barista if it was a latte and he said it was. When it arrived it had TONS of whipped cream. Putting whipped cream on coffee is not something I've ever had before and I wish they would have asked me if I wanted some or not. In addition the coffee was room temperature and just tasted like sugar, nothing like a latte. I was very disappointed. If I go a again I will definitely try something different. read more

Super excited that there is a new coffee spot in Clay Terrace that isn't Starbucks! This coffee house is MASSIVE! It has a really fun vibe inside though and the staff was super friendly and helpful because it can be a bit overwhelming at first. They have a specific drink menu if you do not know what to get but I just went ahead and got an iced vanilla latte with soy. It was pretty good! I didn't really feel like I was drinking coffee because the coffee flavor wasn't really there and it was a little pricy but it was still good! They have plenty of seating (indoor and outdoor) and if you ever need to rent a conference room, they have you covered! I will for sure be back to try some of their cold brews and hang out for awhile rather than getting it to go. read more

Java House has some of the best cold brew I have ever had! While the menu is not very extensive, the coffee is so smooth that you do not need to order a super sweet beverage to feel like you can drink it. I am a huge coffee fan, regularly drinking it black, and I am VERY impressed with the flavor profile here. I do think the prices are just ok (noting that I was over charged once--ordered a small, got charged for the larger), but the coffee is where it's at. I AM LIVING for the flight concept, as someone who wants to try all of the things and not have food FOMO, this was AMAZING to me. The atmosphere is VERY cute, chill and trendy. You can also rent out rooms for meetings for a very reasonable price. This is my go-to coffee shop because parking is also super easy, far easier than trying to park by Indie! read more

Now it was my first time going. I was attending Java House Coffee Bar to meet up with a friend whom I hadn't seen for years not-thanks to COVID and I wasn't told what coffee shop we'd be going to. I presumed Starbucks since to me, that's like the perfect place for meetups and reunions.... Not that Java House isn't but it's more of the vibes. But personally I was impressed quite a bit. Would I take this restaurant over Starbucks? I'm sad to say no But would I say this is one of the best coffee shops ever? Yeah, they are polite. Those working there are nice but they're not overly nice like Chick Fila, not that that's a bad thing. They're just right. My first thought when I entered is, "Hmmm, seems cozy." As I was eyeing the menu, I was hoping to see some sandwiches, some iconic other foods but I was let down to find out that they only really serve pastries and coffee.... This isn't necessarily bad, I mean if you just want to grab a donut and a coffee then why spend a fortune on Starbucks? All I'm saying is I don't believe an expanded menu would hurt. I recall seeing the sign which was kinda like a direct response to what I just said... Here's the thing, Einstein's is a dedicated bagel restaurant but they still serve sandwiches and come up with some creative stuff. I know what everyone's probably thinking, "Why are you comparing this to a bagel place?" Firstly they are both breakfast establishments Secondly they sell some pretty bomb coffee Lastly they're more similar than most people would probably assume. Here's the thing, Einstein's isn't saying, "We're the greatest coffee shop in human existence." But Java House, you have the opportunity to take the throne from them. You can easily add more items on your menu which would be signature and thus incredibly popular. Just saying, as an advisor. I like giving advice so people can decide whether or not it'll help their Buisness or not. But think about it: You have Burger King which is obnoxiously claiming they're the king of burgers. Make yourself more popular, I didn't have any food but that's not to say it isn't good, I'm sure it's amazing but if you at least add a few sandwiches then it could be considered a brunch-type restaurant which the world needs right now. It's unique because most restaurants aren't something I consider a brunch restaurant. Either way I recommend going here. read more
