Perfect holiday vibes and tasty coffee. As a bonus they also have a bakery in house. My partner and I had 2 pastries-the raspberry pistachio croissant and the orange cream croissant. Orange cream-perfectly sweet and the sugar glaze on the outside was divine. It reminded me of monkey bread but stepped up with the orange rind and the rich vanilla notes. Pistachio raspberry-crunchy layers of dough meet nutty pistachioness and raspberry jam. How can you go wrong! The coffee was pretty standard for me. Of course better than the mermaid we shall not name. The star of the show were the pastries as demonstrated by their description. Forgot to take a pic as we had to just delve in. Will be back!
I've tried Indie Coffee Roasters a couple of times, but this was my first time at this location. It is located in the North End Apartment complex. Unfortunately, there is no sign out front, only a decal on the door so it could be easily missed from the street. Free parking in the back, if there is a spot available. There is a good variety of seating options (booth, high and low top tables, reading chairs), but this place gets rather crowded so could use more. There is also some outdoor seating on a wraparound patio. My biggest gripe is that the only sweetener option outside of syrups is sugar in the raw. And when put into a cold drink, sugar in the raw is nearly impossible to dissolve so it leads to granulated sugar bits in each sip. It would be nice if they offered standard sweetener options, or just any options at all, like most coffee shops.
This continues to be one of my favorite spots! In the last year, they've added an organic matcha to the menu and I love that they have multiple alternative milks (coconut, almond, and soy I think?!). The seating situation is perfect for co-working since the lobby shares space with a local bakery and is the first floor or an apartment building. My only ask if that they put a sign out with the seasonal beverages described. The names are always listed on the sign with no description and I'm sure that the employees repeat themselves all day. I don't like holding up the line asking what everything is. :)

I was amazed with how I was served sparkling with espresso! That blew me over! If you are a true coffee aficionado you know that sparkling water cleanses your palate to give the absolute best flavors of your espresso - rich, bold, fruity flavor! Indie coffee roasters won me yet again with sparkling water! I had a great time working and getting into the coffee vibe!
So much room for sitting to either crank on work individually or meet with people. The coffee had a free refill and was delicious. I'll definitely be back.
I had been to the location on Main Street and loved that so had to check out this new location. It's in the bottom of an apartment complex, so it was a little confusing to find. It was really spacious inside and shared the space with Le Petit Gateau, so pastries were readily available. The London fog was delicious. It's not something I would normally get, but I loved it. They had a great variety of seating, so it was perfect for relaxing with a book on the couch, studying in the study room, or sitting in the booths with friends. I went on a Thursday and it was a great place to get some work done! The staff was super friendly and helpful. They bring your drink to you at your seat which I really appreciated. There's free street parking outside and single person restrooms that were very clean and modern. I can't wait to sit on their patio once it warms up a bit!
I'm so happy that Le Petit Gateau and Indie Coffee Roasters are in the same space! I've always loved the simplicity of the Indie Coffee Roasters menu. I typically order coffee first and then get a croissant. You typically have to wait a little bit to get your coffee and I am never in a rush when a nice, delicious coffee is brought out to me. I often take my daughter there and we enjoy sitting on the couch looking at the fireplace. There's lot of space and a couple of booths if you're wanting to work/study. The coffee is always delicious and when I'm in for a treat, their sweeter options are worth the indulgence! Everyone is super friendly and I'm so glad it's close to home.
Okay, hats off to the person who came up with the idea of opening a coffee shop inside an apartment complex! I've always been a big fan of indie coffee roasters but the downtown Carmel location never had parking, and I always had to turn back around (their coffee was my biggest craving in pregnancy and I hated that I couldn't find parking walking distance) so this new location really blew my mind!! It's super clean, amazing staff, and so much seating!! When do you ever go inside a coffee shop and see families enjoying pastries and coffee? Never. I was in awe when I walked in and saw 2 families with kids enjoying their treats. I felt so much comfortable going in with a baby! Most coffee shops are small and aren't accommodating to kids! I ordered the woodsman which was perfect for the cold! It had a nice maple, Smokey flavor and wasn't overly sweet!
Cute place, and bigger on the inside than expected. I got a matcha latte with oat milk and it was amazing. The service was good too.
The service was great and the coffee was delicious!! I really enjoyed the environment. The staff were very polite and helpful as well. I'll take more meetings there for sure.
Traditional European coffee, nice soft bitter bite after the flavor. The hazy pumpkin is very flavorful and the pumpkin is perfectly babalanced with the hazelnut. We sat in the coffee shop and enjoyed our coffee. They delivered it straight to your table with a smile. It's a nice, bright and quiet space where you can easily get lost in a book, or your work projects.
I am so happy this new and spacious coffee shop opened. I love Indie roasters but the Main Street location is small with lack of parking. This new spot is more my speed with plenty of parking and tons of seating space. You can park in the large lot behind the main road where the apartments are. There is an entry door right off the back. You walk down a short hallway and it opens up to the big space. There are some bar seats, tables, high top, booths and a couch. A seating type of every style. The order counter is off to the side and right across from a bakery they are sharing the space with. Lots of yummy options for a coffee and pastry date.

Stopped by with my daughter to try their strawberry fields drink That she loves and recommended. Absolutely delicious. Sadly there are no descriptions at the counter as to what their drinks are. Apparently they are only on Instagram so if you haven't a clue or don't have a daughter on Instagram , you need to ask the cashier. We ordered and then found seats outside on their lovely patio. Staff found us and quickly brought our drinks to us. Outside was very comfortable. Inside is a bit cavernous and hard to hear. read more
Indie Coffee Roasters has become my go-to spot for in-person meetings, and it's easy to see why. Between the warm hospitality, delicious drinks and treats, and beautiful private meeting room, it's the perfect place to connect with others. The meeting room is just $25 per hour and offers plenty of space for private gatherings, complete with a TV that you can connect to via HDMI for presentations or meetings. This visit, I ordered the Peaches & Cream Iced Latte - and it was so good I had to go back for round two! Every visit reminds me why this is one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. The atmosphere is always welcoming, the space is comfortable, and the staff make every experience even better with their fun, friendly personalities. read more

Such a great experience from the moment we walked in! We were immediately greeted with a warm welcome, which honestly sets the tone for everything. It felt genuine -- not forced -- and that made all the difference. The cashier was so kind and conversational while we checked out. She walked us through the flavors they offered and helped us decide without rushing us. That personal touch made it feel less like a transaction and more like a visit. We ended up ordering the London Fog and the Figgie Smalls..both were absolutely delicious. The London Fog was smooth and perfectly balanced, and the Figgie Smalls had such a unique, cozy flavor that we're already thinking about getting again. Great drinks, even better service. I'm so happy that Le Petit Gateau and Indie Coffee Roasters are in the same space! I've always loved the simplicity of the Indie Coffee Roasters menu. I typically order coffee first and then get a croissant. You typically have to wait a little bit to get your coffee and I am never in a rush when a nice, delicious coffee is brought out to me. I often take my daughter there and we enjoy sitting on the couch looking at the fireplace. There's lot of space and a couple of booths if you're wanting to work/study. New coffee place alert ! Happy to a coffee place in my neighborhood! Indie Coffee Roasters in Smokey Row is officially open ! I tried this place on a rainy Friday morning and loved the vibe and the ambiance. There is a bakery inside the coffee shop that serves amazing Croissants and other items which I'd highly recommend. The coffee shops also have booths for your remote work days :) Also unlimited refills for the drip coffee is a plus ! read more
Fabulous second location for Indy Coffee Roasters in Carmel. It offers the same drink options as the original shop, but in addition, there is also a bakery (Le Petit Gâteau) with a wonderful selection of baked goods to complement the drinks. The atmosphere is super nice, with lots of comfy seating options and huge windows to light the interior. read more

This place is so cute! It's inside of an apartment complex but it's very organized and clean. The service is amazing everyone here is so friendly which you don't see a lot in the service industry nowadays. I didn't try any of the food but the coffee you can tell is good quality. A bit on the pricier side for the size of coffee but no more than what you'd pay at Starbucks for low quality. Definitely coming back to this place! read more

I'm obsessed with this location! The vibes are immaculate. The London Fog is my absolute favorite at Indy coffee roasters, but I decided to get a cappuccino today. The service was a little slow but it was busy for a Sunday morning and I think the baristas are new. My drink was the perfect temperature and it had cute latte art. This location has several tables for you to either get work done or chat with a friend. Highly recommend! read more

A great new location, sharing a common area with a bakery is a great idea! The ambiance is sleek, modern, clean and welcoming. There are a variety of seating options including individual bar stools at the coffee bar and facing the window, two large booths, several tables of varying sizes, and a small couch/chair setup area in front of a fireplace. Service was quick and the latte (I got vanilla) was good. I love the easy in and out of this location and would definitely be back! read more
Really cute coffee joint at the start of the main street strip in Carmel. The inside is warm and inviting, and plenty of space for enjoying your coffee and conversation. I had a pour over that was very good, and they had a selection of 3 pour overs to choose from (I went with the Ethiopian blend). Unfortunately their steamer was broken the day we visited, so my wife wasn't able to get her latte (no big deal). My only complaint is that they didn't have any sugar free options (syrups/Splenda/etc.), which my wife and many sugar sensitive folks tend to look for. Hopefully they can add some in the future! read more
