This is my third different Java House location, and I would say that each coffee has been good, though your experience is going to be colored by how busy or how friendly the workers who happen to be in are. In my case, I got here early enough that I didn't have to wait, and there were just a handful of people inside enjoying their orders. The barista was friendly enough and got to my cold Naughty Nog (Eggnog latte) drink right away. Yes, even though it was about 20 outside, I got a cold drink. Since not a lot of places sell this, I always forget how good eggnog themed lattes can be, but this was a great flavor combination. If you're wanting a sugary coffee drink, this is a very good seasonal option, though I can't say I've ever had anything bad from this regional chain

I like Java House but I had never been to this location. I love that my favorite coffee shop now supports my favorite Motorsport... INDYCAR! And during the month of May, several locations of Java House hosted driver meet and greet events at their locations and I was able to attend one at Clay Terrace. This location like any others was so beautiful and of course they had that iconic "Cold Brew" sign. I like the atmosphere here. The event was very well organized and fun. They had special drinks named after the ECR drivers. I tried "Edster", which I thought was a similar version of their signature drink "Tedster" but it was a lot different. Edster was a tea, not coffee but it was so refreshing and tasty. I hope that they keep those special drinks all season long. Although really busy with the event crowd, the service we received by the staff was excellent. Thank you for hosting such an event and making fun drinks.

Was Visiting from New Jersey and stopped in to grab a coffee on a stroll and was highly impressed. The whip cream on top you can tell was fresh and was flavors with coffee I think it was so good. The texture of the coffee was so smooth with a nice flavor. Place was super clean and decorated nicely. The staff was nice and efficient and got our coffees out fast. Would definitely stop by again if I'm in the area.

For the 1st time I had tea instead of coffee. The tea selection is small but they gave us the option of adding flavored syrups. The environment is always warm and welcoming. The staff is always nice and friendly. Pastry item: lemon pound cake which was moist and not too sweet.Perfect treat to go with our beverage. 9/10 only because I wish the pastry was bigger in size. Still great item on their menu . Tip: Instead of honey in your tea try adding their flavor syrup.

Tucked in right next to Patachu right in the middle of Clay Terrace. Really cool ambiance. Plenty of warm lighting to cozy up the metal furniture a bit. Have to come early to snag one of the few upholstered chairs in the place. Employees are super nice. Coffee is really good. About $8 for a large peppermint mocha.

Attended a Bible Study event from Let's Be Friends - Indy in their private event room space at Java House in Carmel. We rented it for a very low cost for a few hours. It was spacious, had a tv and large dry erase boards which was perfect for us. They also have delicious pumpkin bread I recommend :)

I love the convenience of the Java house at Clay Terrace. The decor and openness of this location is great. Who doesn't love visiting a welcoming staff, comfortable seating and fun decor that is specific to this location, different than the library location or the Carmel midway location which by the way are great too!! I love their bagel breakfast sandwich as it has a bit of a twist with caramelized onion, with cheese )I requested that be removed-no problem) egg and bacon. I'm not sure what makes this so good aside from the onion but it is the highlight of a good breakfast sandwich. One cannot pass up the opportunity to have a cold brew latte and be sure to try the flavored cold foam such as blueberry or blackberry. Wow is that good! They offer seasonal drinks that rotate so longing for something new pr even your fave is no problem here. Java house offers points too with a rewards system. Great place, several locations!

I love the coffee at Java House! They have so many options, but I highly recommend the Tedster or try their Affogato at the location in Midtown in Carmel. They have plenty of space to study and relax too.

Check in with Yelp and get 10% off your order! I love the atmosphere of this place. It is my wife's favorite place because it has her Decaf Latte with Oat Milk and she says it taste's great. I've struck out a few times with the coffee of the day tasting bitter or too dark. I did have a taste of her Latte and it did taste very good. So, I'm not giving up yet and think that maybe this is the place to go for good espresso based drinks. I'll update this if I try it again. That said, the staff here is always great, I could imagine bringing my laptop here and being able to work and drink coffee.

COFFFFEEEE! Yum.. dark wood elegance with knowledgeable friendly staff who offered advice on what to order! Great selection of coffees and specialty drinks. Found in the outdoor mall in Carmel, IN If you find yourself needing a quick jolt to boost your shopping trip or a relaxing - inside or out - place to read a book or do some work - Java House is a lovely place to stop!

One of the few times you'll get a 5-star review from a 4-star fan. I can't dock Java House for anything. It's spacious, yet comfortable. Clean and inviting. The servers are friendly. All the supplies (cream, sugar, napkins, stirrers) are kept well stocked. It's in comfortable walking distance to lots of great Carmel eateries and destinations. There's really nothing to not like here. I'm just not a cold brew person. All of Java House's coffee is cold brew, even the hot stuff. So when you get a big cup of Sumatra, don't expect it to claw at your face like a cat spotting a laser pointer dot on your nose. It will just mellowly cuddle up and purr. I think that might please a lot of people's tastes, and can't fault them for it. However, I like my coffee so pitch black and acidic I need to call in Sigourney Weaver to fight it off my space ship

    Hockey Wife Tea Latte

I finally had my first Java House experience! I really like the vibe of Java House. If I felt comfortable hanging out in a busy coffee shop right now, this would be a great option. They do have rooms available to rent for $15/hr for meetings/work purposes as well, which is cool. As a tea drinker, I wasn't sure what to make of the menu at first. At a glance, it looked like my options were black, green, or hibiscus tea served either hot or cold. But they do have signature tea lattes--the hockey wife and green momma. They have milk substitutes as well (though I didn't see them listed anywhere on the menu board, they told me they have coconut, soy, almond, and more), so my dairy free self could partake. At $6 a latte, it's a little steep for me to have one on the regular. However, for an occasional splurge, I can make it work. Especially after I actually tried the Hockey Wife! It's the best tea latte I've tried in a long time. Hibiscus + Coconut. It was smooth, comforting, and unique-- the perfect drink for me today and I'm really glad I went for it! Looking forward to trying more from Java House in the future.

    Honey Baby

My only reason for 4 starts and not 5 is because I wish there was more seating available inside! I came to work here for the afternoon and it's a bit crowded. I went with one of their specialty drinks, Honey Baby. All of their specialty drinks are lattes and for $6. Lemme tell you- the drink is incredible. It's so smooth and very delicious. I wish I would have known their was whip cream on top because I would have asked for them to skip that. Yea I'm one of those crazy people that doesn't like whip cream :). Next time I'll be sure to specify no whip cream, but would have been nice for them to tell me as well. I'll be back for coffee next time I'm in the area.

Super friendly the ladies that work in front are smiling and super cute. They are kind and Friendly my vanilla latte was done real fast and tastes Hmm a bit bitter then what I expected to be which means it was a bit strong for me.. not sweet enough but overall I do recommend this place for any age people to come and chat and relax eat and spend time away from home. My husband went running so I'm chilling here waiting for him. By the way the bathrooms are clean as well. After trying my vanilla latte two times, I end up asking the young ladies to make me another latte because I wanted to try something sweeter and they did it for free and actually was amazing what they gave me. Thanks so much I was not expecting that awesome treatment. Place gets crowded fast and the girls move fast as well. Not disappointed at all... I give it 10 out of 10

I imagine having the support/backing from Heartland Foods helps... The environment at this particular location is okay. I've always been confused by the meeting room in the back, which has no heating and cooling. I'll blame that on whoever took the lead on the buildout. Now for the most important question: How is the coffee? I wouldn't call myself a coffee connoisseur but I'd like to consider myself a decent judge of good quality and flavor. My home coffee preparation process includes: grinding fresh beans to a grain specific for my preferred brewing method (usually Chemex or Aeropress), heating the water to a specific temp based on the bean's country/region of origin, patience, etc. Java House's coffee is not good... I'm fairly certain they use "coffee" powder that's dissolved into water (think Nestle instant coffee) then placed in pressurized kegs that are then either heated or cooled before being poured via a tap. This is not a place you go to experience good coffee. I believe Java House appeals more to certain coffee drinkers who enjoy adding flavors, sweeteners, milks/creams, etc. and not those interested in the art of growing, roasting, brewing, etc. If you're chasing quality coffee in the area, I suggest checking out either Indie Coffee Roasters, Illumine Coffee, or Eggshell (if you can figure out Eggshell's hours). If broken down, my rating would be: 2.5 stars for the successes and environment .5 star for the coffee For the Java House folks: If I'm totally off regarding my assumption of how you brew, please feel free to correct me!
