Tous Les Jours is a fabulous little bakery packed with amazing pastries and breads. Today was my first visit and I was blown away by the beautifully packed cases of pastries. I said, "self, why are we just finding this place?" I selected a Garlic Cream Cheese Bread, which was listed as a favorite. I watched other people with trays selecting 3-4 pastries, but I behaved and stuck to my single "Cream Cheese Bread." Oh wait, I had a Tiramisu Latte with the loaf of bread! Yes, I was decadent. But, it was fabulous. The cream cheese was fluffy creamy and the latte was chocolaty. What a treat! The service is friendly. The clerks were stuffing those cases with all sorts of confectionary delights. There are 8 or so little tables for dining in this upscale cafe. No table service, simply select your pastries with tongs, put on tray and head to the counter. I thought prices were reasonable. Pastries range led from $3-$6. They carry the most beautiful cakes that I have ever seen. And fresh made bread. I'm glad I don't live closer, or I'd be here everyday. Street parking is available early in the day. One of my very favorite places. I've tried a lot of treats from here, from cakes to savory pastries to breads filled with cream. Everything is amazing, and the coffee is really tasty, too! My favorite coffee is the iced tiramisu latte, and my favorite treat might have to be their cream-filled donuts or the strawberry croissant, but it's hard to choose. Decided to stop here with a friend during the week in the late afternoon. The pastries are all mostly self serve with the exception of the macarons and slices of cake at the counter. We started quite the collection to try and also decided to get coffee drinks. I ordered the pistachio latte-iced and she got a chai tea latte. Both were very heavy on the milk and we did not finish them. We liked the assortment of pastries and the variety between savory and sweet. I enjoyed an almond croissant type pretzel the most and the strawberry shortcake type pastry as well. The curry pastry was quite delicious. The sausage one was a miss for me. It just tasted like hot dogs and ketchup so nothing fancy. I ordered a double stuffed pistachio macaron but she must have misheard me as she only gave me a regular. It was just okay. The cloud cake is YUM. The lightest and airiest cake I've ever had - way fluffier than angel food cake. The frosting is so whipped and compared to store bought whipped cream, SO much better. When I don't finish an almond croissant ... that's not a good sign. I love almond croissants. I love Tour Les Jours in general. And I'm hoping to revisit this new Carmel location soon to bump up my review. But I can't give it anything more than three stars based on my stale-tasting almond croissant and a few other things. The dry croissant was a bummer. (Dry, as in it was crunchy almost like a scone.) Visiting at 10 a.m. and seeing a sparse, picked-over selection of baked goods was a bummer. They are open until 8 p.m.! Hopefully they were going to restock the cases after I left. If not, I guess you need to get there early in the morning for the best selection. I ordered a regular coffee, and even though they repeated it back to me and asked again what kind of coffee I wanted (a small, black coffee), I got a cappuccino. The people behind the counter seemed very flustered and confused, but maybe this could just be working out those brand-new, just-opened jitters. Who knows. The cakes and cake slices in the refrigerated case looked amazing, though. You can get slices of blueberry cloud cake, green tea creme cake, orange cream and lots more. They also have macarons and tartlets. I think I should have gotten a piece of cake and I would have been much happier. I really, really want to like this Tous Les Jours, so I'll be back soon to give this place another shot. I love Tous Les Jours! The honey lavender matcha latte is literally the best drink ever. It's not overly sweet. The first time I ordered it at this location it was pretty bland, but once I got closer to the end I realized that it hadn't been mixed properly. However, that only happened once and every time after that it's been fine. It's pretty small inside, only about five small tables. So it's definitely more of a place to grab your food, eat and go. Glad to have a more general purpose bakery within Carmel, and really close to my home base! For those unfamiliar, this is a Korean chain doing their version of a French bakery. So you'll see a mix of what looks to be pastries you'd find at nearly any artisan bakery as well as items that have their own unique twist on them. And I think its those items that make Tous Les Jours unique. Items like their version of a croque monsieur, hot dog pastry or the milk bread are well worth trying, even if they aren't going to be your everyday snack. I also appreciate that this location does not charge a credit card fee. I have to dock a point for just having the standard automatic espresso machine. With several coffee shops within a block doing hand pulled espresso, I'm not sure this is competitive in Carmel or Indy area as a whole. And it isn't like their coffee prices are any cheaper than other nearby shops. read more

The croquettes are savory and delicious- my favorite is the curry. Some of the items you can tell have been sitting out for a while and maybe pass on those.
