Great coffee place in PB! Came here for the first time yesterday post run club and was just planning on grabbing a coffee but then saw these guys eating a breakfast burrito outside that looked really good so decided to try one (I normally don't grab food from coffee shops, and normally don't feel too hungry in the morning but I was feeling it yesterday!). I don't have super high hopes for coffee shop food, and especially not breakfast burritos, but I was very pleasantly surprised! I really enjoyed my burrito and the salsa that came with it was really good. The tortilla was the perfect balance of crispy and chewy. I asked for no bacon and got to choose avo/turkey instead and went with avo. I also wanted an iced latte and had a hard time deciding which one to get! They have quite a few different latte options and I was thinking of trying the pistachio latte as that looked more unique, but it was a bit more than I felt like paying on top of my burrito (It's over $7) so I went with the basic vanilla honey latte. Was yummy though so can't say I went wrong there! Definitely want to go back and try the pistachio latte next time though read more

Pros: - the place is cute, good indoor space for people who also want to use their laptop and work with coffee - good outdoor space too - Employees were very nice Neutral: Cappuccino was ok, not bad, not out of the world, very wet i d say. I dont think i would get a cappuccino there next time i go. Cons: - croissant and chocolate/almond croissant were stale, not good at all, one might say taste is subjective, well to an extent. when something is stale it s easy to have a consensus. There is a reason bakeries only sell same day croissant (or discount them by 50% if they have leftover from the day before...) - coffee bean package has no mention of weight which is very odd, (and also against the FPLA requirement). When I buy a bag of coffee, i d like to know what is the weight of the package... (and when it has been roasted, no indication about that either) OVerall: Anyway disappointed by my experience at the Cass St location because I went to the torrey pines one a few times and liked it a lot (including their pastries). read more

Really good coffee here and fresh avocado toast! Our first time was great. We brought our dog and sat outside. For a week day morning it was pretty busy and we waited maybe around 15 minutes for our food. I'd come back here for the coffee for sure. Am I the only one who thinks this place is overrated? I live within eyesight of Java Earth and every morning there is a line out the door. I have gone about 5x since moving here and all I have gotten is rude service (every single time), the coffee is mediocre at best. Cute cafe! I ordered the SoCal burrito that had eggs, hash browns, cheese, and your choice of protein with a side of salsa. Also ordered an iced chai latte. The chai was delicious except I wish they had put more ice in it because it felt like a warm chai instead of iced. The burrito was meh. Pretty basic and flavorless and even the salsa didn't have any flavor and was watered down. I had to douse my burrito baby in tapatio! The best way I can describe the flavor is white persons burrito lol They have a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating so they won't be a problem. Delicious coffee and decent food make this place a worthwhile visit. Living in the area, we like to ride our bikes to grab coffee and a light breakfast on Saturdays. Java Earth is one of the few spots we have patronized more than once on these jaunts. While always busy, the coffee they serve up is awesome and always made with care. I grabbed a honey vanilla latte with oatmilk while my wife tried out the pistachio latte. Both drinks turned out very tasty and, over ice, are the perfect accompaniment to an otherwise warm morning. For food, the SoCal burrito and PB bagel, with a molasses cookie for us to split. The burrito was saved by the decent salsa they give you on the side to add as you please, my wife loved her bagel, and we both seriously enjoyed the molasses cookie we snagged on a whim. Of course, we will be back, but I will probably switch to a bagel next time, however. read more

It doesn't have much seating and if usually quite busy. They have the best breakfast burrito I've had it a long time.
