Great bagel and coffee spot in PB. First, the iced basic sitch coffee was delish! We also tried the thighmaster breakfast sandwich on a bacon and cheese bagel. Super bomb with just a kick of heat. The sun-dried tomato and cheese bagel with chive cream cheese was really good too. They had already run out of the everything bagels by the time we arrived! My only request: open up a store in North County, please!
The line was soooo long but the hype was real! I really liked my lox bagel. My friends also made their own bagel with their own cream cheese, and it was really good. The sun-dried tomatoes were so yummy. Definitely a place I would go again!!! Worth waiting in line to be honest Seating is there but it can get busy
Going to upgrade my previous review based on the Yelp Elite Experience I participated in today at Spill the Beans. I ordered an iced La Vida Mocha and it was MUCH better than the one I had back in March 2025. I think they worked on their recipe a bit with an excellent end result. I also got an everything bagel, toasted with vegan cream cheese. The bagel was fresh, BIG, and very good. My only wish is that STB offer at least one or two more vegan cream cheese options -- scallions would be awesome. Service was super friendly and I got my bagel and drink pretty quick. Thanks for the Yelp Elite Experience STB! I'll be back!
We love this spot for their "You Are My Everything" heart-shaped bagels sold for Valentine's but we have noticed we consistently have to wait longer than seems reasonable to get bagels sliced and boxed, even when it's not very busy. The white truffle garlic Parmesan spread was a gem and is no longer listed on their menu.
Cute little coffee shop. Was disappointed with how long it took for just a bagel with cream cheese to get out to me. It tasted fine, but it was not toasted enough as visible in the picture. There is no tanning of the inside at all very disappointing.
I love me some good coffee especially coffee that actually wakes up. I ordered an Iced Blondie Mocha for $5.75 and a Pot Head Coffee Cold Brew Can for $4.20. The Iced Blondie Mocha was tasty. Wasn't too watered down and the coffee was filled up to the lid inside of mostly ice. It had a great balance. The Pot Head Coffee Cold Brew Can was really good too. One of the few Coffee Cans that doesn't have that weird coffee can aftertaste. It was surprisingly smooth to drink. Wasn't bitter or too bland which a lot of Nitro Cold Brews attend to be. I actually want to get more of this coffee for work. It was the great amount of pep I needed to finish out my day. The service was awesome and suggested some nice coffees to try.
A local chain coffee shop is now the primary tenant in the historic Dunaway building on this PB street corner. Spill The Beans has aggressively expanded after their OG location debuted several years ago in the Gaslamp Quarter. Parking was metered curbside, or you could use a paid surface lot next to the building. Indoor seating was limited to countertops and a few small tables. The better choice was to use the outside tables on the sidewalk. A menu sheet was posted on a stand just inside the entrance. Coffee, tea, bagels, sandos, and bowls were the categories. Some baked goods and prepackaged beverages were in a display case to the left of the service counter. The Thighmaster Sando was my selection. Egg whites, arugula, tomato, red chili, and garlic cream cheese were the ingredients on a bagel of choice (Sundried Tomato & Cheese was my pick) or a brioche bun. The order was placed inside a takeout bag within 10 minutes. In hindsight, I should have picked a brioche bun or a plain bagel. There was zestiness from the garlic cream cheese and spiciness from the red chili. The sundried tomato and cheese made the sando an overload of flavor. I'm not sure why it cost $12 without a protein included as egg whites don't cost that much. If I did want a protein, another four dollars would have been charged. I gave a 3.5 star rating for my visit to Spill The Beans.
I was introduced to the ube bagel at Spill the Beans by attending a Yelp event. I've been thinking about that bagel ever since, so I had to stop by for another one while it's still on the menu. The bagel is so fresh and flavorful and they pair it with a delicious ube cream cheese. I ordered the Basic Sitch as well and it was amazing. It's the perfect start to any beach day!
One of my favorite coffee shops! I always get an Iced vanilla latte and it's great! The bagels are also outstanding. It's the place I always recommend to friends when they need a good bagel place. The aesthetic and colors are unmatched. It's a cool dark interior with the signature blue. There's outlets and it's the perfect place to get some work done. The baristas are great too. They always go out of their way to bring my drink and food right to wherever I'm sitting.
Honest review here, My wife went here to grab some coffee, and she brought me back a can of their brand. She got me the Pothead coffee cold brew can, a black, unsweetened taste to try. Now, I make my own coffee at home, and I love coffee. I enjoyed the canned coffee needless to say because other canned coffee tends to have a nitrogen aftertaste which is distasteful. However this canned coffee did not have that which made it enjoyable. I enjoy having sugar and cream in my coffee, but having this black unsweetened brand was actually pretty good! I can't wait to try out more of their brands and actually experience their service and see what kind of ambiance and vibe the location feels.
Fabulous corner coffee house, beautifully decorated, airy with high ceilings, fab seating, clean with good customer service. They have a bagel with a Mexican corn spread, so good! I also tried their banana chocolate loaf, also good. My daughter ordered an iced matcha and a brown sugar latte, I believe; also very good. I would definitely return!
Came here on our way back up North and overall great experience. The coffee was yummy, the staff were friendly, and the environment was calm and a vibe.
Stopped by for a cup of coffee and added on a bagel sandwich. Spill the beans in PB is located on a busy corner on Garnett avenue but has plenty of street parking nearby. The shop is bright and airy with seating inside and outside. I ended up getting a flat white and a McLovin sandwich that had egg, two sausage patties and cheese on a haberno bagel. The coffee and sandwich were both excellent. The coffee had great flavor and was prepared just right with tasty espresso and milk steamed to the right temperature (not scalding hot like Starbucks!). The bagel was also full of flavor and filling with the two sausage patties and heaping portion of scrambled egg on it. Will definitely be stopping by again.
I came here for a Yelp event and it was amazing. I live in Pacific Beach and this was my first time at this location. I had been at the seaport Village location before which was also excellent. I got the bagel of the month which was the Ube bagel and I got it with the Ube cream cheese and oh my goodness it was so fun. It was a nice purple color so it just made eating it that much more delightful. The staff was also amazing. So polite. I also got the iced chai latte which was absolutely delicious. Thinking about it I'm craving one right now hahaha They do have seating inside but it is limited. There is street parking. If you park on Garnet or on Cass right in front of the establishment it is pay parking. But you can literally Drive one block away and it is free to park in the residential area. Since it is only a few blocks from the beach I can imagine at certain times parking would be trickier than others. But do yourself a favor and come here for a bagel and a drink. read more

Spill the beans Pacific Beach is an awesome cafe! When we first walked in the place was super bright and vibey. There are plenty of spots to sit indoors or outdoors. We tried a few items on their menu: Iced Taro latte - we got this half sweet, but it was well balanced, and the coffee was very tasty. Sun-dried tomato bagel with chive cream cheese - this bagel was light airy and had a nice cheesy sun-dried tomato on top. The cream cheese was also very light and fragrant. Really enjoyed this! Everything bagel with chive cream cheese - had to try this classic bagel and it did not disappoint. Lots of seeds on top and a high-quality bagel The food all came out very quickly, and the baristas were very friendly. Will definitely be back to try more of their sandwiches on the menu, get their bagels again, and try more of their drinks! read more

I would say this place is a solid 3.9. It's a cute shop. The coffee was good, solid espresso, I got the one with honey and cinnamon. The service was very quick. Parking is street parking. It's pretty spacious, so if you want to do homework here you can. read more

Happened to be in the area and stumbled across this coffee+bagel place. I ordered the Sun-dried Tomatoes and Cheese bagel with shallot and chive cream and it was absolutely delightful and on par with today's bagel pricing. I also ordered the OTP cold-brew drink, but it was kind of watered down and I personally would not recommend it. I did see a lot of people picking up iced latte drinks with different drizzles so maybe I might have to try them next time. Overall, service was a breeze and the shop had a good amount of window seating both inside and outside. Also for those looking to study, outlets are limited but they do have free WiFi! read more

Respectable amount of schmear! and many vegan options. Decided to try this place out when my boyfriend's brother came to visit and all three of us thoroughly enjoyed our bagels and coffees. The breakfast sandwiches looked phenomenal and were stuffed! The cappuccino was outstanding, probably the best I've had in San Diego. While my visit was nearly perfect, almost every employee was on their phone at one point, which is always a little offsetting for me at any setting in the food industry, however the overall experience made up for it. Spill the Beans offers high quality food that doesn't skimp on portions at an easily affordable price. This place is definitely worth checking out! read more
I've wanted to try Spill The Beans for a while and was excited that they opened a location on Garnet. I loved how many different cream cheese flavors there were to choose from and they don't skimp on the amount!! The caramelized shallot and chive was oniony and savory, but the red chili and garlic is the way to go if you like spicy things. It had a bit of a kick to it! Beware that if you go later in the morning they run out of bagel flavors and it gets pretty limited. read more

I've been meaning to try their coffee for years, but just never made it to any of their original locations. I love this new location in PB. It was easy enough to find parking (at least for PB standards), and ordering time was quick too. They seem to have a constant flow but never a crazy line which I appreciated. The staff is just nice and laid back, but quick and efficient at the same time. Immaculate vibes really. I loved the amount of different coffee, tea, and just drink options in general, plus their obviously amazing selection of bagels. There really is something for everyone. While we did just come here for coffee, their baked goods were calling our names. My husband and I settled upon their cinnamon coffee cake. Perfectly moist and just the right amount cinnamon in every bite. Didn't even need to be warmed, but it being warm didn't hurt! After ordering our drinks, we may have waited 3 minutes before our drinks were ready. So fast honestly. I had the blondie mocha with Mac nut milk and my husband had the cinna-bee latte. Both were perfectly balanced with just enough syrup flavoring but still being able to actually taste their delicious coffee in every sip. I will say my coffee choice was still sweeter than my husbands, but again not overly so. I'm not sure if I could order anything else in the future because I loved my drink so much. Doesn't seem like you could go wrong with anything on their menu. Also! There is a decent amount of seating inside and plenty of room at the bar tops too. Outdoor seating is available as well! read more

I recently visited Spill the Beans last weekend on Garnet Ave, and I was really impressed by their bagels. Here's what I ordered: -Iced Basic Sitch: A perfectly balanced coffee drink. -Two bagel sandwiches: 1. B.B.L.T.: Crisp bacon with fresh veggies and a garlic aioli twist. 2. San Dieggo: Comfort food at its best with peppered bacon, melty cheddar, and an over-medium egg. The bacon cheddar bagel was exceptional--definitely not your average bagel. The staff was efficient, the space was nice inside out, and the outdoor seating was great to enjoy some delicious breakfast and coffee. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! read more
This Spill the Beans location is just getting underway in Pacific Beach, San Diego. When I arrived, I was greeted nicely, and ordered a 12 oz drip coffee and their signature jalapeno and white cheddar bagel. I had it toasted and buttered. Both items came out to $9 and some change. The coffee was a medium roast and had a good dark chocolate flavor with a subtle nuttiness towards the end. Good coffee. The bagel was lightly toasted and came with a sufficient amount of butter. The bagel was very good and had a good chew. The flavor of the jalapenos and white cheddar were very good. The service was very friendly and helpful at the counter. They offer inside and outside seating. I do which they offered a whole wheat or whole grain bagel or bread for their breakfast, lox, and sandwiches. Only street parking is available at this location. read more

Stopped by early on a weekend and was pleasantly surprised it wasn't too crowded. It's within walking distance of the beach, which is a huge plus. There's plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors, and the staff was warm and welcoming. I ordered a latte and an onion & garlic bagel with the caramelized shallot and chive spread--absolutely delicious! read more
Quickly stopped in on my way to work. Super cute corner spot, with a couple parking spots out front, and the music was a vibe - Hawaiian reggae. Vibrant aesthetics and clean! I like the window bar seats too. I ordered an iced Basic Sitch latte with macadamia milk - it was good but I would have preferred more ice. I also ordered the Cabo-cado Toast on a sun-dried tomato cheese bagel - held the jalapeños. I liked this avocado toast twist of a bagel. It was delicious however I would have asked for the bagel to be warmed - although the bagel was soft and tasty still! read more

Great looking interior and modern spot. However the prices are steep AND THEY ADD A 4% SURCHARGE without listing it. Expect to pay $20 for a bagel sandwich and small coffee. The pricing would make more sense if they made their own bagels, but they do not. STOP NICKEL AND DIMING US WITH THESE BS FEES!!! Pay your workers better and roll that fee into the menu pricing. This imagery of the surcharge is more harmful to your business than you expect. I'll change my review if you remove that surcharge bc I want to see you succeed. read more

My friends wanted to try this local place as we love bagels and coffee. I've been to their gaslamp location and loved the coffee but not the bagel. Same feelings at this location. I have mixed feelings about the bagels, but love the iced mocha that they use the Mexican chocolate in. It's sweet, creamy and delish. The bagels however are still not my favorite. I've tried the sundried tomato and jalapeño and cheese and they're all very soft and doughy, and the texture seems off. I feel like they cook them differently than other places so as the dough is quite dense and doesn't have the crunchier outside with a soft inside. It reminds me more of a grocery store style bagel than a fresh one. It also didn't really seem toasted and I'm not a huge fan of an untoasted bagel and cream cheese. But it was busy and seemed like a lot of people liked it. My friends thought their bagels were alright but nothing crazy. The coffee is def my favorite and that mocha is to die for. I ordered online as the line was very long and they made it pretty quick. Loved the outdoor seating and it's a cute spot. read more

Easily the best bagel I've had in California! We got the sun-dried tomato bagel and the bacon and white cheddar bagel, both with roasted shallot and chive cream cheese. The bagels were moist, fresh and delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more flavor combinations! read more
