Mmmm... they most def have the best bagels in history of bagels (on west coast). The bagel sando is heavenly good!! I've had many an espresso shots here. The peoples are nice and lovely. They have a good variety of dranks and soon will serve beer, should be interesting. They also do rando events like comedy & DJ's.

This cafe is pretty good, but just okay for me. They were out of oat milk, so I opted for a hot latte with almond milk and a everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. The latte was just alright and the bagel was a bit sour and hard to chew for me - definitely a personal preference but I don't like the sourdough/ yeasty bagels as much as regular bagels. The cream cheese was really good though. Overall this is a solid place to sit down with a friend and take a few pics - the interior is really cool and colorful. But I would probably hit other spots if i'm looking for a great latte or bagel.

Such a cute spot with solid coffee and Desperado bagels! I wish we had gotten to try their other schmears but they were sold out of half of them by noon on a Saturday. Pistachio latte was lightly flavored and the brew of the coffee was amazing. More of a classic latte that you could drink every day rather than all the fun cream top ones that are becoming popular now. I LOVED IT!

Cool coffee shop in Pacific Beach. I picked up an iced ceremonial matcha latte with a touch of honey for $8 plus tax. The iced matcha was delicious. It was well made and the touch of honey balanced the beverage very well. The quality of the matcha was very good. The plastic cups they use are very cool. They are sturdy and offer a multipurpose lid. They offer Desperado Bagels from a local baker in Ocean Beach. I did not try one, but other patrons commented that they were great. The service was easy going and friendly. There's a very good amount of inside seating and some on the outside. The only draw back of this place is that they do not accept cash.

Iced latte wasn't very good. Barely tastes any coffee. Tastes like dirty iced milk. Service was fast and friendly. Also a bit more expensive than other coffee shops in the area. Probably won't be back.

I mobile ordered at 12:36 and when I went in at 12:50 they said they closed early. Confused why this company did not turn off their online ordering platform for the early close. Then opened the company's instagram to see that their hours for New Years Day quite literally say 8 am- 1 pm... Kindly made 2 out of 3 drinks in my mobile order but were "out of chai". Substituted the chai but had to negotiate to get a refund because the dirty chai originally ordered was $8.50. Cute cups though.

Cute coffee shop. Good coffee. Good customer service. This was my first time here but it seems this place has regulars since the cashier was really chatty with the two customers in front and back of us. This place is small but very clean. Street parking only. I got the Ice Vanilla coffee which was very tasty. A little too sweet for me but I would come back and try something else on the menu. I Woolf like to try their pastries as well they looked good. Thank you Porchlight Coffee for your hospitality.

I've been wanting to try PorchLight Coffee since I saw they opened (post on Instagram). The outside was super cute and vibrant, modern. It was crazy busy today and luckily the ramp on the outside allowed for a nice queue. The window seating was a nice spot for people watching and a cool breeze. The interior of the shop was light sage pastel color with white and natural wood tones. The way the interior is set up, doesn't allow for optimal seatings though. For the space that they have I think the circular tables eliminate possible availability for sitting. They have a table in the back, but today (Sunday) there was an event back there...further limiting the spaces for seating. Although, it is not just a coffee shop-- it's a place to connect with community and by having this event they were definitely doing so! The workers were really sweet. The menu at the front of the line is different than the one they have at the front counter. If the menu by the door was updated that would be nice. I think the pricing for adding flavor to your coffee is too expensive especially because they use a powder (for caramel, vanilla, ube, and mocha). These aren't house made syrups therefore they shouldn't be that expensive. In my opinion, the ranges of prices are more on the expensive side compared to other coffee shops in the area. I ordered an $7: 16 oz, Iced Caramel Latte with Whole Milk. The ice they use is small and I wish they'd use bigger ice cubes. To keep the drink colder longer and so that in the sunny San Diego heat it doesn't melt so quickly. The caramel powder wasn't throughly mixed when I got the drink. The flavor was really light, not tasting like caramel at all-- for $1 I think that was quite disappointing. It was ok-- overall as a latte; but I wouldn't come back again for coffee. My mom got a Cappuccino -- she said it was not as hot as you'd expect it to be (lukewarm). And no coffee taste. My brother ordered a cold brew although they called him out while we were waiting and informed him that they ran out (it was 10:40ish am). They offered to give him an Iced Americano instead. He said it was okay. They have Desperado Bagels. When looking at the menu by the door, they didn't have many schmears options, but when we got to the counter there were 4 other new ones listed [spicy pickle, chai + blood orange jam, famous zesty herb (all $3), and smoked salmon ($5)]. If we come back next time, it will be to try their bagels which I heard are very delicious!

PorchLight Coffee is a quaint coffee shop that has popped up in the middle of a block on Cass St in PB. The space formerly housed a landscaping business so it was completely transformed in order to be able to function as an eatery. There's no on-site parking so you have to locate a curbside space on one of the side streets if nothing is available on Cass. It was quite packed when I arrived in the afternoon to pick up a snack. The inside was compact to say the least with up to ten small round tops for seating. I didn't notice any outdoor tables, but maybe there was a back patio? The wall behind the kitchen preparation area listed the available beverages while a laminated menu sheet was displayed at the service counter. Coffee, tea, matcha, and fresh orange juice were the drink choices while Desperado Bagels from OB and some baked goods were the food offerings. What I didn't like was the lack of pricing as mentioned by another reviewer. The business has been open for a few weeks now. Transparency on how much items cost should be a priority as it slows down the ordering process if customers have to ask for prices. Perhaps a QR code can be created and scanned for pricing. I didn't need a beverage as I had one in my vehicle so I chose a couple of the baked goods on display at the counter. My picks were two different pieces of pound cake, Chai Peach and Lemon Ginger. Each of the flavor combinations was creative, and the cake was moist. The issue was that each slice cost a whopping $6. One used to be able to purchase an entire loaf of pound cake for that much. I had already spent a few minutes waiting in line and wanted to support this local cafe, therefore I went ahead with the transaction.

Very cute and new coffee shop in north PB! Dogs allowed! Definitely recommend checking out. Parking is tough, but you'll be able to find something on the side streets. There will be a line but it moves fast! And the workers were fantastic! Gave me a punch card to come back :) I got an iced oat milk latte, which was delicious. Although I do wish they used bigger ice cubes, because when I sipped they kept on coming out of the little hole! We also got a flat white which I was told was a little too bitter for their liking. Overall, we will be back!!

I've been wanting to try Desperado bagels for a while, but didn't want to have to pre order them ahead of time. I was so excited to learn PorchLight carries their bagels! The bagel was top notch - fluffy and filling. One of the closest you can get to NY style. I also got an iced matcha and it was delicious and in a nice plastic sip cup vs the usual paper ones. The inside is adorable and lots of room for remote work. Such a fun new neighborhood coffee shop!

My favorite coffee while visiting PB! I loved the indoor/outdoor vibe, and the decor inside was so cute.

Very cute and vibey new spot in PB but I didn't get the warmest customer service from the get-go. They also seemed kind of annoyed that I was ordering the strawberry cream cheese that turns out, they were just releasing later that day and was still not available. I picked up my order and said thank you and nobody even said anything back. Latte was just okay and pretty watered down in my opinion.

You can't really beat the refreshing taste of fresh fruit and nutty granola and butter. Especially when you can take this delectable bowl to the beach and just vibe in the sand. Wave Bowl $16 (14.50+1.50): 5/5 The bowl itself looks fairly small like, but deceptively so since I was stuffed after eating the whole thing for breakfast. It is higher cost than I would usually spend but I don't eat açaí bowls to know the average. Personally I really liked that the toppings were at the bottom and the bases were on top, not just because it was a beautiful display but because sometimes when it is the opposite, it can quickly get messy with toppings falling and dropping. The granola was crunchy and the add-on nut butter ($1.50) was plentiful and contrasted well to the fruits. You get some finely diced strawberries and bananas that were just the right amount of ripe, the bananas a little more firm but definitely preferred with the bases. The pineapple spirulina was favorite as it had a good sweetness to it. Honestly wished I could get a bowl with just this as a base and of course the natural blue color is just so unique. Coconut was coconutty and the pitaya was brightly colored, not too much distinctive taste on this one. Peak San Diego Experience

In this case yes the bowl was OK was but was no better than the 3 other bowl places within a mile of this location. The wait was LONG as for many of the bowl places on this street but this one was extra long as in 45 minutes to an hour wait on off hours long. And of course with all these tik tok famous places the price was inflated. Based on taste alone I could have given this place 4 starts but the extra tik tok tax(inflated price just for being TikTok trendy) and extra wait time for the exact same thing you can get anywhere else rubbed me wrong so I'm going to have to leave this 3 star right here.

We come to PB once a year around the holidays, and love trying new places. We are often looking for…read morenew places to grab a drink, or have coffee in the morning. We try to stay away from S-Bux in favor of trying and supporting the local spots! This is actually the second year in a row that we've come to Pump. We first discovered it last year during a combination of Yelp searches, and a little A-Frame sign they have along the boardwalk. The reviews were mostly all good, and we quickly understood why. LOCATION & INSIDE: Located in a little outdoor shopping center, the inside itself is pretty small. Amongst different areas, there is room for around a dozen or less people to sit inside. They have a little space against the wall across from the counter where they sell shirts and other items such as travel mugs, glass sippers, and mushroom coffee! There are a few additional tables out front, but I recommend taking your coffee down for a stroll along the beach if the weather permits. DRINKS: This is a pretty typical coffee shop in terms of offerings, with options including regular coffee, cold brew, pour-over, espresso, cappuccino, americano, latte, tea, tea latte, and hot chocolate. They have several options for most categories, including a Caramel Macchiato, (White) Mocha, and a Rose Lavender latte, to name a few. They also have seasonal drinks, which are currently a Tiramisu Cold Brew and a Peppermint White (Chocolate) Mocha. For tea lattes, they have items like a Chai Latte, Matcha Latte, and even a few variations of those. The first time we went (last year), we got hot drinks. This most recent time we went (a couple days ago) we went with iced lattes. The wifey ordered the Rose Lavender, and I got the French Vanilla latte. We both loved our drinks, and were very happy with our decisions. It's only a difference of $0.50 to go from small (12oz.) to large (16oz.) and +$1 to have an alternative milk. We love to use oat milk, as it helps create an extra creamy drink. While they don't typically have their own cold foam per-se, they were able to add some of the whipped mascarpone from the tiramisu latte on top. Honestly this was the perfect topper to an already incredibly creamy and delicious drink. They also added some dried rose petals to the lavender one, which was a nice aesthetic. FOOD: There are just a few options, including various croissants and vegan pastries. They don't have a full kitchen, so the stuff isn't freshly made in-house. For the animal friends in your life, they also offer a Puppaccino for $1! OVERALL: This is definitely a place worth stopping for some quality coffee. They generally have 2 people working, unless one's on break or something. The service is pretty casual, and can take a while if there's a line. They take an order, then make the drink. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming, and this is definitely a place we have added to the rotation during our annual holiday trip! IG: @bbnem.eats

Unfortunately it was one of the worst cold brews I've had and I would not order it again.
