    Skirt steak perfection
    Manuel C.

Always 5 star when I come here. The atmosphere and the food is amazing. I asked to make a skirt steak on a brioche roll and it was perfect. Thank you for the great food and service.

Place has gone downhill. Bathroom is trashed, holes in the wall, food on the wall, charged full price for drinks from the bartender. Asked him when happy hour ends and what it includes; he didn't know the answer. Asked the host what time happy hour is and what it includes, he didn't know the answer. I will call again and try to talk to the owner & get some answers but until then, not going to be overcharged.

James Joyce is delicious! Came here for a quick meal and ordered the sample platter and fries. The platter consisted of tots, mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, wings, etc. It really hit the spot! Fries are great as always.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting James Joyce in Patchogue and I cannot emphasize enough how deeply disappointed I am with the discriminatory practices I witnessed during my time there. It is disheartening to see a restaurant that prides itself on its supposed quality fall so short when it comes to treating all individuals with respect and equality. My main grievance with James Joyce in Patchogue revolves around their treatment of individuals who identify as LGBTQ+ or are people of color. On multiple occasions, I witnessed people being denied entry solely based on their appearance, supposedly due to an ambiguous "dress code." However, it was evident that this dress code was disproportionately enforced against people of color or those who identify as LGBTQ+. It is incredibly distressing to think that a restaurant, which should be a safe and inclusive space for all, refuses entry to individuals based on their race or sexual orientation. This blatant discrimination not only perpetuates harmful stereotypes but also fosters an environment that promotes division and exclusion. Such discriminatory practices are not only morally wrong, but they also reflect poorly on the establishment and its management. By allowing such prejudiced behavior to persist, James Joyce in Patchogue sends a clear message that it values certain customers over others, creating an unwelcoming and hostile atmosphere for marginalized communities. As a consumer, I find it deeply disappointing to witness such discrimination in this day and age. It is our responsibility to stand against any form of bigotry, racism, or homophobia, and to support establishments that prioritize inclusivity and equal treatment for all. I strongly advise against patronizing James Joyce in Patchogue due to their discriminatory practices. There are countless other restaurants in the area that foster a welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of their race, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Let us choose to support establishments that uphold the values of equality and respect, rather than perpetuating discrimination and racism! I've also provided a picture of there stupid lil dress code

I can't believe we never knew this place existed! The hostess was super sweet, Ivan, our waiter helped with suggestions. The James Joyce burger was fabulous, cooked to perfection at medium rare. The fries will go on the list of one of my favorites. We had the pleasure of being entertained by @lydiavonhuf while we ate. It was pretty crowded for being early on a Saturday and they seem to have a great bar crowd as well.

It reminds me of an old man's bar, which is a compliment because those are my favorites. Well stocked bar, clean, with a friendly bartender and butts in every stool. Made me want to come back another time and just hang out to watch a game or something. But I digress. I was there for a burger, not the booze, right? So on to the dining area. There were maybe 10 tables in a small area. Mostly set for 4 and 2 guests, with one set for a party of 5. After a 10-minute or so wait, we were seated. We both ordered burgers; me, the 1900 with bleu cheese, and my dining partner a plain old burger. Both were delivered fairly quickly and both were deliciously delightful! The burger was huge and cooked to perfection! The fries....yum! Thick steak fries, my favorite! The side of coleslaw was creamy, and the pickles were crisp. I cannot think of one bad thing to say about this place or the food. I look forward to returning and trying something else!

I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.

On top of that, my damn car decided to up and die, so I've been bleeding money on Ubers just to get to and from work. I even had to go into work on my day off just to sit around waiting for the tow truck so they could junk it. Love that for me. After I handled business with the junkers, I said eff it and headed to Whiskey Neat. I was starving--no breakfast, running on fumes--and since my job's in Patchogue, I figured I'd finally try them for lunch. First of all... happy hour on a Saturday from 12-6?! Uhhh hello?? In my Angelina from Jersey Shore voice. And if you pay cash, you get the discount. Say less. They've got a fabulous small plates menu. I started with the French onion soup--ooey gooey mozzarella, cheese pull was undefeated. Soup was delicious too. I haven't had French onion in ages and it really hit. Then I had the pulled pork slider, which was really good, but BABY... those short rib croquettes? To. Die. For. I also had to get my classic deviled eggs. A little heavy-handed on the paprika, but still solid. Drinks were half off, so of course I indulged. Started with an espresso martini because I needed something to jumpstart my day. Then I had a French martini because duh--I'm a French girl ‍. That one was good. Finished with my classic cosmo. Not gonna lie, I've had better, but it did what it needed to do and helped me forget my troubles for a couple hours. Also great playlist of music. I got there and they were playing Ska. Love me some Reel Big Fish and No Doubt. Mixed with some Motown and Bob Marley. Made me remember the good old days.

We like to go to the vinyl nights that Tom Perrone has, with other people from 8 o'clock shot (the best group on facebook). Tom and Maria were hosting a Wednesday night Vinyl Night at Fadely's. This place is so interesting. I couldn't stop looking around at all the decor, everywhere I looked I saw something new tucked into one of the nooks & crannies of the place. It was raining when we went but the outside looked like a great place to be. There was one spot where you can shelter from the rain and they hung an upside down Christmas tree in it. The drink offerings seem to be a wide variety and good choices. I don't drink alcohol so I had my orange juice and seltzer which is one of my go to drinks if I'm not having a non alcoholic beer. The place offers live music occasionally and has a ton of space both indoors and out back to hangout, both with TVs in case you have any sport viewing you want to do as well. I definitely recommend the outdoor area if you've got a nice enough night for it. The drink variety won't blow your pants off, but it's got something for everybody and at prices that won't blow your pants off either. Although I didn't get a chance to try any of the food, from what I saw though it looked like good bar fare, and I in particular was eyeing the pizza. There's no dedicated parking lot, but there is some decent parking along the side streets nearby that shouldn't give you too much issue. This place is a nice change up from the typical scene you see a long main street. It might not be the loud and club like vibe you might be looking for, but for me that's quite alright. Would be happy to come back here anytime for a cold hard beverage and good conversation.

It's been quite awhile since bread or potato passed my lips so I wanted it to be perfect. Two Morrows was an obvious choice. It was freezing out and walking into the warm and friendly space highlighted by the hot fireplace set the table for us. We were seated right next to said fireplace and our server Lisa took care of us right away. She was helpful and friendly and made us feel right at home. I ordered the piggy platter which consisted of a half pound burger cooked exactly the way I ordered it. It comes with your choice of sides, mine was steak fries also cooked to perfection and Lisa was nice enough to add cole slaw, creamy and crunchy. I added a pint of toasted lager, my girlfriend had a diet friendly burger and a salad and the food came out right away. Hot and fresh. The burgers here and made the old fashioned way, 8oz. Of fresh chopped meat formed by hand and cooked to perfection. My girl and I chose med rare. This place makes me happy. Not to noisy, cozy, classic pub atmosphere, choice of sport or movie on the several TVs and oh that fireplace! This place is not too big but I kind of like that. Oh and its clean! At the end of our meal Lisa supplied us with the check and since Valentines day was just a couple days away my girl got a valentines day card with a cute heart bracelet. I'm not sure this experience couldve been had at many other places. Let me end with saying you can probably find fancier newer pubs or restaurants at a much higher price point but not many with a more satisfying experience. Dont pass this place without stopping by.
