Once she left I soon see how much of an impact she made because now service is very slow & they are not organized anymore at all. I do wish to have the old General Manager , Jannette Davis , back . I say if you will order from here you should do an online order because if not you will show up at 12pm wait 20 min to actually order & then 15 min to get your smoothie . Inconsistent My wife is a Jamba Juice fan, but she doesn't like going to this location (one of the main things that it has going for it is that it looks like a million bucks). I went here with my family yesterday (we were really in the area because my wife wanted to go to Kohl's). There was a long line (it took my wife about 7 minutes to order). My wife's cashier was friendly, and I also noticed that there were at least 6 employees around (one of them was outside on her break). I think it was made in a hurry because of how busy it was here (the smoothies were ready after about 3 minutes). I frequent many jamba juice locations in the east bay because I am an EMT and we post all over Alameda County. I only preface that for you to know I am aware of the franchise standards for this company. That being said, I will go into how disappointingly sub par the bay fair store is to EVERY other jamba I frequent. I don't know who "management" is written on all their signs about broken equipment and fruits they ran out of, but they clearly are not concerned about the operation of that store. Over the last 3 years that I have gone to that store there have only been a handful of times they have had all of their equipment working and every menu option available. I can totally understand running out of a new product because the demand surged and without data there would be no way to anticipate the bulk amount needed to order. But the amount of times I have gone there and have been told they were out of a certain ingredient to which I would have to select a different product has become very frustrating. I do not understand how you would allow your juicer, which is a staple of your organization to be out of service for so long. How hard would it be for "management" to run to a store to buy fruit they ran out of for over a week instead of constantly updating their signs of products not available while they wait on a supply truck? After today I will no longer go to this franchise, which is disappointing considering it is so close to my house AND one of our spots to post while on shift in our ambulance. I am only stating this in hopes that their corporate office will take a field visit to this location or the owner will check in on their "management" because they are lacking severely and have been for way too long. read more

Usually people here are polite, fast & friendly but there is this young woman who appears annoyed. She give customers extremely dirty looks, like I feel she is ready to kick my ass. I try to be polite but she doesn't smile or say "hi." When I say thank you she just mutters under her breath. She gives this place a real bad vibe. What happened to "these doors shall remain unlocked during business hours?" Got here at 8:50pm on a Tuesday night and the doors were locked! The business hours clearly stated that they were open until 9:00pm. This place is terrible. The wait. The service. The manager who works here. I did the survey and since I didn't have a printer, I wrote down the redemption code on my receipt. They were giving me a hard time saying they need the bar code to scan but I didn't understand why they couldn't just put in the redemption code??? The manager stated that "maybe next time you don't have a printer just pull up the copy on your phone". At other Jamba Juice locations I've never had an issue with this. On top of it all, they only made one of my drinks forgot the other one. They knew they forgot the other one but just kept ignoring the fact they did. 5 people that ordered after us left with all their drink orders. Oh protein berry with a double scoop of whey...... you're my only friend. I was ecstatic when they opened this Jamjam. I've been frequenting this low'cal (hehe) almost on a daily basis. Friendly and efficient staff make for a pleasurable visit. Apparently I was there at the wrong time. While the staff was friendly, on my visit, they were super busy and super slow. A lot of orders were getting mixed up and they were out of lots of ingredients. I realize they were busy, but cleanliness should not take a backseat at any time. The store was kind of grungy. Not the greatest jamba juice. Waited almost 20 minutes for my drink! They only had 3 people working. The guy making the drinks is super slow. Everytime he poured a drink into the cup he had to wipe his hands. There was a bunch of drinks lines up ready to be blended but only 2 at a time being blended when there are 5 blenders?! Today was not the only day the workers were super slow. The last 2 times I came here I waited too long for a drink. I like Jamba Juice but almost 20 minutes for a drink is just plain ridiculous. I sure hope that things have improved at this location because I've avoided them for a few years now. As other Yelpers have mentioned, this location is usually dirty, it takes so long to get your order, and the customer service is horrible. The last time I came here, I ordered a drink and it was supposed to have carrot juice in it. The employee threw in a handful of carrots into the blender and thought I wouldn't notice. I used to work at Jamba Juice so I know that you do NOT just add carrots to the blender-- you need to put them through the juicer. I told the employee this and he said, "No, this is how you make it." Incorrect. I didn't even want to waste any more time (since they were already going on 15 minutes to make my smoothie) nor did I feel like wasting my breath on an argument. Not worth it. Is there a Zero star option? Ordered 8 drinks, paid for it and sat down to wait. Drinks were being made, people were waiting before us, people were waiting after us; normal thing, right? But while we were waiting, 4-5 peoples behind us got their drink first when we ordered the drink before them. Since it was a warm Sunday late afternoon a smoothie sounded perfect. Well, I wasn't the only person that came up with the same idea. Walked in to find it crowded with people waiting for their orders. The line to order was short but the wait was over 20 minutes. By far the longest I have experienced here. While waiting I noticed the staff wasn't utilizing all of the blender stations just one out of the three or four they have. There were four staff members that I could see. One taking orders, one filling the orders, one blending and filling the cups and one washing out the blenders after being used. After hearing my name called and walking up to my mango mantra smoothie holy grail I was a little disappointed to see that it wasn't filled to the top of the cup and the blender still had a large amount left in it. I put up a harsh review last time and I was being unfair. I took another visit and realized that I was more referring to some summer staff who were probably some kids. I apologize since that may have made the actual staff look bad. They're in fact great! So my few bad experiences involved the previous staff that might have been summer high school kids who were supposed to be taking orders up front having conversation and ignoring me for about 2 minutes in their casual conversation. Yeah...I used to work in customer service and that's a no-no. If you want to work in California, in an AT WILL state you're not going to be effing around like that trying to keep a job! Anyway, if anything this location should consider who they hire for summer job because those kids don't know what it means to work for money. Anyway this is a new review I want to put up because this location should get a fair review over my last one: This location can get packed and of course it will because it's in a mall. But the staff never miss a beat and they always say hello to you when you first walk in. That's hard to do very well if you are very busy and dealing with all kinds of people! I give them credit for keeping the environment as pleasant as possible. Even though it gets busy they are good on time with every drink. It's sometimes hit or miss with quality and I suspect the few times my drink was unsatisfactory (2 times only) was when it was super busy and there was new staff. Those same staff have been there a while now and my last drink from there was AWESOME. Keep up the great work guys! Altogether I still have to say it's not bad here, but I am still wary of the area. We're Jamba Juice fans.. gotta have that sugar, ya know?! We walked in yesterday around 3:30pm and my nostrils were immediately hit with the smell of bleach. OK, so at least I know they clean.. but the aroma is quite strong. Rap music is BLARING. Not my kind of music and even if it were, the volume is way too high (or I'm getting really old). The kids order drinks from the secret menu and I order my regular carrot/orange/banana drink. We didn't have to wait too long, which was nice. We happily trotted out with drinks in hand, and were on our way. My little one was quite thrilled because although she ordered a small, they gave the largest size cup, filled to the brim, to accommodate all the strawberries they put in her Fruity Pebbles drink. The older one was quick to pout stating that his Starburst drink was REALLY sour. I noticed that every time I took a sip of my drink, my mouth felt funny and would start to itch (that's weird.. an itchy mouth??). I'm not allergic to bananas, oranges or carrots so I'm not sure what that was all about. Upon getting home, my little one drops her king sized cup, which splits apart and her Fruity Pebbles drink is now covering the floor and the carpet. Oh joy! She cries. The bigger one is still pouting because his drink is "TOO SOUR TO DRINK MOM!!!". I'm thinking "great, my mouth is itchy and I have to clean up this mess and pay to have the carpets cleaned and she's the one crying?". It all works out. The older one gives his overly sour drink to the little one. She's happy. I clean up the gigantic spill and discover that Fruity Pebbles does not stain beige carpet.. thank goodness! Even though it gives me an itchy mouth, I finish my drink. Clearly not the fault of Jamba Juice that we had the Fruity Pebbles Flood at home.. but they need to open the door and get fresh air flowing in when they're using bleach. They also need to turn the volume down on the music a notch or two.. and adjust the sourness of their drinks so that 12 year old boys jonesin' for sugar will suck the drinks down, not give them to their little sisters. read more

This is the fourth time I've been to this specific store due that is around the mall & they miss an ingredient or two in my drink. I order the kaleribbean drink and yesterday they forgot to add the mango & the kale there it was in big pieces in it which made it thick, so basically it take like passion fruit with kale and water. What can I say about Jamba Juice? On hot days when you want something to satisfy your sweet tooth or a chilled beverage to help cool you down, this is the place to be. My go-to is the Caribbean passion smoothie, but they also have a white gummy and pink starburst flavor on their "secret menu" that tastes pretty good as well. They can pretty much make any smoothie to order from available ingredients if you ask. Prices have definitely gone up more recently but they have also added more "healthy" options to the menu such as fresh squeezed juices and acaí bowls. My husband and I came here on a whim. Our first choice was Starbucks (off of Hesperian), but they were temporarily closed. We planned on going to the drive thru Starbucks in this shopping center, but the line was too long and I didn't want to wait. He pointed out Jamba Juice and I agreed. There was a good amount of people inside waiting for their drinks. After skimming the menu, I was greeted by a nice young lady and she took our orders. I ordered a small Aloha Pineapple and my husband ordered a medium Mega Pineapple. We waited a few minutes and then our drinks were ready. Both were delicious! This review is based on my approximate 20 second visit this evening. This store states they close at 8 PM on Thursdays. I approached the store at 7:45 PM. The stools were off the ground and set on top of the counters. The lights appeared to be either off or dimmed. There were two Jamba Juice employees behind the counter cleaning up. The doors were unlocked and I took one step into the store. I asked if they are open. The male employee did not answer my question directly and just gave me a confused and shocked facial expression as he told me that their "system" was (and uses his hands to make a gestures implying it was shut down for the night. I told my toddler I couldn't buy him a smoothie as we walked away. The employees did not apologize for the inconvenience. I do not know their company policies and procedures, but they could have left one register open and one set of blenders until their specified closing time. read more
