Steak burger and fries
Jaclyn C.

Great experience with amazing food (best steak burger I've ever had). Our server was professional and helpful. The dark candlelit setting was a sexy esthetic, it was perfect for a celebratory dinner. Fries were crispy and delicious. I couldn't stop eating them. The rattlesnake pasta was very unique. I wasn't expecting it to have almost a Mexican flavor to it but boy was it delicious! The steak burger came out perfectly made and was so savory. We also started with the deviled eggs and we both couldn't believe how delicious they were. The candied bacon was a great touch.

Took some friends here for dinner . They don't eat at nice restaurants like this usually . They were really impressed by the place , service and food. She got the ribs that just fell off the bone and he got the steak and it was so good. Almost melted in his mouth. I got the prime rib it was delicious and is what I always get . The carrot cake was great too . Chris our waiter did a great job . This is a great place to eat and has a good selection to choose from . One of my favorite places

Wow! The service, the food, the atmosphere is all phenomenal. We stopped by this restaurant on a road trip and boy was it good. They seated us immediately without a reservation. I ordered a steak with baked mac and cheese. The steak was undercooked when it arrived but the waiter was back at the table before I could even call her! She immediately took it back to be corrected. This would definitely be a "staple" restaurant if we lived closer. And to top it off our waiter brought us a complementary carrot cake. It was warm, sweet, gooey perfection! Thanks for making our visit amazing Tracey!

We always have excellent service & food at this restaurant, but tonight they went above & beyond expectations. I had a 8oz fillet with a backed potato & only succeeded in eating 1/2 of the meal. My husband ate 1/2 of his ribs & potato, so the waitress packed our food to go. We forgot the food & drove back to retrieve it, however, it was already discarded. I told the waitress this was the 2nd time we had done this! She asked what we had, I told her & she asked if I minded waiting while the kitchen prepared us a portion of the food we had. It was 10 minutes before closing & the chefs graciously prepared the food. What a wonderful place to give our business to! Thank you so much for your generosity & pleasant attitude!

Dined here with friends yesterday and it was fantastic from start to finish. I feel like I should mention that we all used to work here in college about twenty years ago so our standards are high and we are all very versed on the menu. Working here was like restaurant boot camp although we always talk about how it helped shape our work ethic and customer service skills in entirely different careers moving forward. The menu has not changed much which was a pleasant surprise because I was craving some spinach queso dip like you wouldn't believe. We obviously could not order everything on the menu but shared a prime rib sandwich, a veggie burger, and ahi tuna with fries, salad, couscous, and not your ordinary Mac and cheese. Everything was just as good as I remembered. Portion sizes are huge so there is no way we could have gotten more food but the one thing I had fomo over was the smashed potatoes. I was able to dip my fries in the creamy horseradish sauce which is a national treasure, but it's also insanity on the smashed potatoes as well. We also shared a piece of carrot cake which I highly recommend. Service was excellent, and our server was super friendly and humored us by allowing us to tell her about our shenanigans from "way back when" Ambiance is nice, with some updates but still the same dark classic vibe. Great restaurant for prime rib and more if you get the chance to check it out!

First of all this is my favorite restaurant, but yesterday wasn't a good day I came in to celebrate my birthday and to enjoy New year eve dinner my waitress was not attentive to our table like I'm use too. With that being said she was steady talking to the table next to us for about 20 minutes while my family and I needed water refills etc. I can tell when she finally approached us in the beginning that it wasn't going to be a good day I told her I was celebrating my birthday she didn't even acknowledge and say Happy birthday or anything. But she was really friendly to the table across from us. Then at the end we had to wait for boxes and our check because she was to busy talking to the table across from us. After dinner then she ask if we want dessert I mind you I'm really familiar with this restaurant and know they give you a special treat for your birthday I had to ask if they still do and she said oh yes, so pretty much I had to beg for my own birthday treat. This is a tradition for me and my family to celebrate our individual birthdays and now I must reconsider our yearly tradition if this is the type of service we will receive for a top notch restaurant.

Pardon the glare; I love all drinks with prices on the wall in addition to the menu.

This was my first visit here in a very long time. We sat at the bar and had a few drinks with the calamari app. Everything was great. Our bartender was wonderful. I asked what their happy hour hours are and she said they do not have a happy hour. Hence, 4 stars vs 5. I love that they show all the drinks with prices up on the wall above the bar, as well as on the menu. We may return, because I fondly remember how good their food is. I asked if they still serve the warm honey-drizzled croissant with salads and she said those are no more. Sad.

While we had a reservation at 8:45, we decided to eat in at the bar after having the most incredible espresso martini of our lives and talking to John. My sister and I opted to share multiple courses - each of which was better than the last. It was an amazing experience and we were lucky enough to compliment and thank the executive chef in person. I came here on a cold March evening with my colleagues for a team dinner after a two-day conference. My co-worker was kind enough to tell the restaurant we were celebrating my birthday, so they had decorated our table with some cute birthday confetti and had a card for me. Such a nice touch! I wish I had thought to take pics, but I was so exhausted. Now, on to the food! We got calamari for the table as a starter. It was sprinkled with feta, which I enjoyed. It was cooked nicely and had great flavor. Oddly, we got served butter and sour cream instead of the black pepper aioli and voodoo sauce that was supposed to come with it. Thankfully, they realized it and brought us the right sauces. For my main, I got the Blackened Seared Scallops, a really unique dish that came topped with pork belly and served on creamed corn with tomato jam and bourbon syrup. This leaned to the sweet side but the smoky flavor of the pork belly gave great balance to the delicate scallops and the sweetness. And that bourbon syrup was addictive. I cleaned my plate! I would definitely recommend this dish if you like a sweet/savory combo. None of us ordered drinks or dessert on this go-around, but the manager stopped by to chat with us. Again, really nice touch. One slightly worrying thing: one of my colleagues is allergic to mushrooms. He ordered something that didn't mention mushrooms on the menu, but it was on the plate. Thankfully he noticed it before he started eating and they remade it for him without mushrooms. So if you have food allergies, be sure to ask questions because it may include an ingredient the menu doesn't mention. That said, our servers were wonderful and it was an overall pleasant experience.

Pretty loud and hard to hear, but that vibe is OK for a boil place to me. Only waited about 15 minutes. Two adults, two elementary kids. I like Lees of all the boil places because they have good options for non seafood people too. Both kids found wings, chicken fettuccini, etc. Started with the hushpuppies, about 12 smallish sized but a perfect starter for 4 people. Came with ketchup, I wish they would do a remoulade option. My wife and I split the duo (snow crab, shrimp) and I decided to add a LB of blue crab. Medium homemade juice sauce (always....it's sooo damn good). Snow crab was really good this time, snappy not bendy like some places. knuckles sweet and not overly briny. Perfectly cooked and came apart and out easily. Shrimp were just a tad overcooked but not much. Potatoes were perfect. We sub +1 tater for the egg. Corn is never good at these places. :) gotta do those fresh not frozen to get it right. The blue crab had good flavor. However, crazy overcooked which made getting meat out damn near impossible. Stringy instead of in chunks and stuck totally to the shell. I mostly gave up. My biggest complaint is they have ZERO typical utensils. No crackers/pickers/hammers/etc. I managed to cut myself trying to get into a snow crab large claw, and the lack of pickers made the blue crab impossible to eat. I'm bringing my own next time....serious. Finished with the fried oreos which were a perfect finish to the meal. 6 oreos for $6 was a great price.

While there were a few minor service issues, our server was kind and attentive and acknowledged the celebration with complimentary desserts, which we truly appreciated. After dinner, my cousin and I went to wash our hands and use the restroom. At the time, all stalls were occupied and one was out of service, so we waited. When a stall opened, my cousin kindly let me go first. I finished and stood outside the stalls waiting for her for about three minutes. During that time, I noticed several people going in and out of the restroom area. I also saw a man sitting in a chair along the hallway wall near the stalls, hunched over. Shortly after, a woman exited the restroom and grabbed him to leave. I thought nothing of it and minded my own business. I also observed the executive chef enter one of the restroom stalls. When my cousin exited, she mentioned that the stall smelled strongly of smoke and that three girls had exited the stall before she entered. She said the stall smelled like marijuana but used it only because it was the only option available. She also pointed out that the man sitting outside appeared to be associated with the group who had been in the stall. We then returned to our patio table where our family was seated. Our server brought out her birthday pie along with another complimentary dessert. She blew out the candle, we shared dessert, and we began preparing to leave. A few minutes later, while we were still seated on the patio, the general manager, Nick Krafft, approached our table accompanied by Executive Chef Michael Wagner. We initially assumed he was checking in on our experience. Instead, he immediately stated, "I'm going to have to ask you not to smoke in our restaurant and bathroom," directing the accusation at my cousin and me. We were completely taken aback by both the accusation and the manner in which it was delivered. We calmly explained that it was not us and described exactly what we had observed in the restroom. We stated that neither of us smoke and never have. We even offered to have our belongings checked and explained that we had not taken any jackets or purses with us to the restroom, as our family remained at the table. Despite this, the general manager refused to listen or consider our explanation and continued to place blame on us. He did not speak to our server, who had interacted with us just moments earlier while bringing out the birthday dessert, nor did he attempt to investigate further or de-escalate the situation. As we were leaving, my fiancé asked the general manager if he actually smelled smoke on either of us. He responded "yes," which was not true, and continued to push a conclusion he had already formed. No apology was offered. We spent over $1,000 celebrating a family birthday at a restaurant we had trusted and enjoyed in the past. Instead, the evening ended with my cousin's birthday being overshadowed by an unfounded accusation. There were many guests dining that evening, yet blame was placed solely on two women who had simply used the restroom. I am a Nurse Practitioner, and my cousin is a special education teacher for autistic children. Neither of us have ever smoked. Being accused in this manner was humiliating, hurtful, and completely unnecessary. I was later contacted by the regional manager, who was understanding. However, I believe this situation highlights the need for better investigation, accountability, and staff training to prevent similar experiences in the future. A personal apology from Nick, acknowledging his actions and taking accountability, would be an appropriate step forward after innocent guests were wrongly blamed and a birthday celebration was ruined.

Tiny, carryout only, though there are a couple of tables to sit while you wait or maybe to eat a quick lunch. Super friendly staff. Fairly short menu; all the good stuff. They fried up the okra right then, though, and had a steady stream of pickup orders coming through the door, so it still took 10-15 minutes. It was okay, though, smelling the amazing scents coming from the kitchen, talking to the staff and customers. I hadn't noticed they have ribs (just a picture, not on the menu) so I might've ordered those. Oh well. $20 I think, or they do combos with sides or fish and sides. Anyway. I got fried okra, and it was a big portion and absolutely amazing. No need for any sauces, tasty on its own. Perfectly crisp. Baked beans: my style, sauce so thick you can eat them with a fork. Slightly sweet, mostly savory, very good. Greens (collards) with turkey: outstanding. Tender but not floppy, nicely seasoned. Cornbread: soft, sweet, crumbly, topped with butter. Yum. Geechee rice: seasoned, bacon and sausage, very good. And black-eyed pea salad. I like black-eyed peas but had never had them in a salad. These were great: plump, with bits of tomato and cucumber and onion, in a vinegary dressing. Again, yum. Enough food for two meals. They gave me the side plate special, three sides and cornbread, which helped with the price. Class + Recipes: The recipes we tried were good. It was a class all about learning how to cook with tea. We made Shaoxing Wine Tea-Poached Chicken with Scallion Oil, Sweet Tea-Brined Roast Chicken, Salad Greens with Golden Raisin Vinaigrette, Tea-Poached Eggs, Black Tea Poppy Seed Muffins, Earl Grey Tea Cake with Chopped Chocolate and Tea-Infused Cream Cheese Frosting and Roasted Yukon Potato Wedges with Aioli Sauce. The food tasted good and I appreciated the amount of thought that Chef Cindy Ramsey put into creating them. However, I was severely disappointed with the set-up of the class. I've been to 6 cooking classes at other locations and always was assigned to a specific station where each participant would make each dish and learn new cooking skills. This class was set-up where we were given a 20 minute lecture and then told to wash our hands and disperse to focus on different aspects of the meal. For instance I mixed the aioli sauce, iced the cake and teared lettuce leaves. Though we were told to wash our hands, we didn't wear gloves and this is what I believe caused my husband and I to get sick. Cons: Lack of cleanliness. During the demonstrations sometimes the chef would touch raw ingredients like eggs and chicken and would then touch other ingredients that would not be cooked. This leads to cross contamination and should have been avoided on the chefs behalf. In addition, because 10 different people peeled eggs, and various people touched ingredient components that would not be cooked I believe this also may be the cause of getting sick. As a science nerd let me share that we all have a different skin microbiome. Sometimes people carry more of one bacteria on their skin than others. Also depending on the length and cleanliness of finger nails, this also could cause unwanted bacteria on food that was prepared without being cooked. If these bacteria get into the ingredients, some people can get ill from them. Net: PLEASE HAVE ALL PARTICIPANTS WEAR GLOVES WHEN PREPARING FOOD, ESPECIALLY ITEMS THAT WILL NOT BE COOKED. I feel like the price of the class was not cheap and hopefully could cover the cost of gloves in the future. Based on this experience, I would not come here again and do not recommend it to someone who is looking for a more traditional style cooking class.
