I have not been to HP-Dublin in several years as we live across town now in the Westerville area and the last time we paid a visit, we sat at the bar and the experience was lovely. Now fast forward, Dad lives in Powell and we found a second reason to return this time in the dining room with Chris as our server. I forgot how wonderful HP-Dublin is and we'll be back for the reasons shared below. My father is 82 and extremely particular. Why I LOVED having Chris as our server so much was how very on point he was from start to finish: he staggered our experience in a timely fashion, he was very clear in his communication and that was SO IMPORTANT to my father who does have hearing aids and at times, it can be challenging for him yet he never had to ask Chris to repeat himself even once. I have never had that experience with him when we are out for fine dining. The food was incredible. The service - back to Chris - was impeccable. Not even halfway through our HP-Dublin experience, my Dad said to me, "I like Chris a lot." Dad is retired FBI and let's face it - he can find fault with anything. He is pretty critical and very rarely is he ever impressed. Last night for dinner he was and that was super helpful for me and my husband as we always want Dad to be happy when dining out. Celebratory dinner as we closed a sales event at the hotel across the street. We didn't have a reservation. They gladly seated us. Server and team were very attentive and quick to refill waters and drinks. I ordered a 16oz ribeye, medium rare. This is the first steakhouse that cooked it to perfection! We shared the sides. The mushrooms were surprisingly the best! But all the sides were delicious! This restaurant was brighter than most dim steakhouses. I could actually see what I was eating! Beautiful decor! read more

I had been before and honestly nothing but 5star service so decided to show up unplanned after check the pearl and avenue. Ordered two drinks, 5 count shrimp cocktail and 2 burgers. When ordering shrimp cocktail I requested bread service as did the gentleman next to me getting a takeout order. Gentleman next to me was told the bread was thrown away and was offered a dessert....no one had said anything to me. At this point I asked about the bread and was told, well you only ordered burgers. Celebrated a friend's retirement last evening (12/27/25) at Hyde Park. It was an excellent experience from the food quality, the server, Chris, and the ambience. Water glass was never empty, the portions were plentiful, and the entrees were prepared exactly to our liking. Husband said his steak was the best ever. AMAZING Steaks!! The food was awesome and the service was great. That said, my only negative comment was that we booked a room for a corporate event and a few of the folks in our party got sick and/or flew home earlier than expected resulting in about 3 people less than what we said we were going to have. The restaurant then made us buy 3 bottles of wine to make up the "lost" revenue they would have had from the 3 people. This Hyde is my favorite one! The atmosphere here is very welcoming. And the staff is outstanding. I never complain about the steak at Hyde. It's always perfectly cooked and extra juicy. The sear on the outside adds just the right amount of crispy. Served with onion straws...which I eat on their own because they are so good. Wine selection is plentiful. This was my first time at Hyde park and it was amazing! The steak was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. The sides are sharable so we ordered three sides for the four of us at dinner. We got mashed potatoes, creamed corn pancetta, and asparagus. They were all amazing! And the perfect amount for all of us. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant as well - it was dimly lit and the decor reminded me of an old school steakhouse in a tasteful way. We went to celebrate my 30th birthday and it was a great location to celebrate a special event! The service was quick and the staff were very attentive. They had two waiters assigned to our table - one wasn't super nice but everything else was so great, it didn't really diminish our experience. Will definitely be back! read more

My fiancé and I came here to celebrate some successes we've had. We made a reservation, so we had no trouble getting seated. Our server came up almost instantly and quickly got us started off with drinks and a bottle of wine. They were also very kind to surprise us with a champagne toast to help us with our celebration. Throughout the night, they made us feel very special and staff outside of our server came by to congratulate us. They brought over a bread basket while we waited for the starter we ordered. I will say the bread basket is absolutely delicious. For our starter we got the oysters Rockefeller, which was very tasty. I just wish it had more flavor. Maybe more Parmesan or garlic, though overall it was really good. For our entrées I got the regular ribeye, and my fiancé got the bone in ribeye. We decided to split a fully loaded baked potato as our side. We ordered them both medium rare and they were absolute perfection. We lovedddd the entrées and it's one of the best steaks we've had since we've been in Columbus. By the time we finished our entrée, I still had some to take home so we weren't planning on doing dessert. They surprised us with a house dessert, which was kind of a s'mores trifle. My boyfriend and I came for Valentine's Day and were very excited as neither of us had been to Hyde Park before. We had to make our reservations over a month advance, but I'm not surprised they were so busy! When we got there there were very few parking spots and we ended up parking along a fence where we were unsure if we were allowed to be parked which caused us to be anxious about being towed throughout the meal. When we entered the restaurant the host was very friendly and we were seated right away even though we were early. The restaurant had great ambiance. There were small lights everywhere and lots of dark wood. We got seated right next to all the wine glasses, which was frustrating throughout the meal as servers kept reaching over us to grab loud wine glasses while we were dining. There was also sign on the table that said we could only be sat for 1 1/2 hours. I understand why they had to do this, but the service was not very fast and lead to us feeling like we were pressed for time the whole meal. The actual food was very hit or miss. We had a Caesar salad, 12 oz. Filet, Ribeye, mashed potato's, Brussels sprouts, lobster Mac and cheese, and flamed banana tart. The Caesar salad was good but pretty standard. Both the ribeye and the filet were delicious, but my filet was a lot more rare than I had wanted (I had asked for medium and the middle was quite red). The mashed potato's were probably the best part of the meal. The lobster Mac and cheese was pretty watery and was a little disappointing for how much it cost. The Brussels sprouts were ok but I wasn't blown away. We took our dessert to go and ended up throwing it out as it was so bad neither of us wanted to finish it. I think the food overall was pretty good and I really enjoyed the environment of the restaurant. However, I think for the price we paid I was expecting a lot better. I also didn't enjoy feeling rushed or being constantly reached over. I probably won't be returning for another big event. read more

Listen - food amazing, ambiance - amazing, service impeccable. Went to dinner with our team vendor partners, they picked an amazing restaurant. We had a set menu, the apps were Crab Cakes and Mushroom Sliders. I had the petite filet mignon w/ lobster tail on top. the only issue was that the lobster was mushy/soggy- I did not send it back b/c the steak was so good and the lobster was a small part. The sides that were brought out where asparagus & potatoes gruyere gratin - EYE don't eat either or those items. Definitely will be returning, want to try the lamb chops. read more

To start I ordered the wedge salad (it's a large salad!) it comes with candied pecans. For the main I had the filet mignon a la lobster. The bearnaise sauce was super rich and bordelaise was not to my taste. I think it would have been better without it. The filet was super tender and cooked perfectly. As a long time customer I was a bit disappointed in Hyde Park Dublin last night. Our server Chris was great and service has never been an issue there. I was a bit taken aback by a $20 Grey Goose Martini. The check reflected a 2.5oz martini for $20. I just checked and a 1 litre bottle (34oz) of Grey Goose Vodka is $34.99 at Kroger so basically $1/oz. So liquor costs are roughly $2.50 for a $20 drink. Considering that it's basically Vodka and ice A bit of a gouge. I ordered lamb chops, my wife ordered Filet. 2 others at our table ordered steaks. All of the meat was severely charred. My lamb was a perfect medium inside but the outside was charred to the point of being like a charcoal briquette as were the other steaks at the table. A rare "off night" for a long time favorite and a$20 martini might play well in NYC or Chicago but not so much in Dublin. read more

Hubby took me here for my birthday and we've been here before for special occasions and enjoyed the fine dining and great steaks. This time was SO disappointing. Our check was over $200 for the two of us and all we received for that was 2 glasses of Malbec, 1 bourbon shot in a glass full of ice cubes, 1 birthday card, a side of Brussels sprouts, and 2 very charred, crispy 8 oz filets that were grey on the inside even though we both ordered them medium. The steaks were tough and difficult to chew. The service was spot on but we will NOT be back. So sad to see this happen to what used to be a place to go for great melt in your mouth filets. read more

A regular-ish spot for me pre-pandemic, when I lived in the area. Here on business and snuck into the bar an hour before closing, but was able to have the entire experience without feeling rushed. Within a few minutes, Laurie the bartender remembered me from too many years ago! The service was 5 stars, absolutely perfect amount of attention and pacing. I had my eyes on a crabcake to start, but when she mentioned the scallops were fresh, on special, and could be added to any steak, my mind was made up. Rare fillet was cooked absolutely perfectly, seasoned with salt and pepper to accentuate the taste of the meat. Scallops were grilled with just a little butter and fresh lemon, they were amazing. Lobster mac & cheese was spectacular. Started-and-ended with a cocktail, but had a glass of red wine with the steak that complimented it perfectly. Bar was not over crowded and I had a nice chat with several folks, and unlike some chains the ambient volume was just enough to NOT feel like I was in a library, and not too loud that you constantly ask someone to repeat themselves. So I have heard nothing but good things about Hyde park. So when I found out there was one near my room I knew I had to go. We got a reservation just in case, but it wasn't too busy. The atmosphere here is very much luxury steak house and is very intimate. There is a small bar area and the. Two connected dining rooms. Our waiter was pretty good and the timing of when they bring appetizers and drinks and the food was perfect. We shared the bacon appetizer and it went well with the black Cherry old fashion. I got the surf and turf, and ended up eating the lobster first because it was so good. We shared sides of garlic potatoes and lobster Mac and cheese that went well with our meals. It was 250 for two people, but considering all the food and drinks it was worth it. If you can afford it and are very hungry then you have to try it once. read more

Sadly, this location will now be a no fly zone for us. This is my fourth time to a Hyde Park - I loved the first three and was psyched about coming here. I ordered my go to - New York strip, cooked medium. They brought me a ribeye instead of a strip and announced it as a ribeye as they placed it in the table, I immediately pointed out that I had ordered the New York strip and the waiter and his assistant both said, oh sorry, no this is the strip. And they left. I cut into the steak which was very thin and heavily marbled, clearly wasn't a strip - took a couple bites and wasn't sure what to do. A few minutes later, the waiter reappeared and said you know you are correct that was the ribeye. We will bring you the strip now. The sides were already gone and my table mates were basically done with their meals. After 10 minutes, they did bring a strip steak that was charred on the outside and basically raw on the inside. I took one bite of it and sent it back - they did take it off my bill and provided a free dessert, but I never saw a manager, and I still can't believe that the waiter and his assisted could not tell a strip steak from a ribeye - super bizarre for a high-end steakhouse. If you're celebrating a special event this is the place to go. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect, from your table to your food. We made a dinner reservation for my birthday on a Monday night. We pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves and our waiter was very attentive. They had our table marked off with a little happy birthday card that was a nice touch. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The sides are all sharing size so bring a group and order everything you want to try. My steak was cooked to perfection! They even brought out a slice of cake with a candle. This is definitely a little known location in Dublin. They have the same great quality as the other locations with less business. The crab cake was full of crabmeat. My lamb chops were so tender and flavorful. Went to Celebrate my son's birthday. It was a last minute decision, I was concerned because we were very casual. It wasn't an issue. We were treated extremely well, perhaps the best service we've ever had. And the food was unbelievable! I didn't spare any expense, my son and I had wanted to try Wagyu beef for a while.
