Haven't been here for awhile so my daughter and I stopped in for dinner. Happy hour you can get a 9oz pour for the price of a 6oz glass of wine . We tried the fried goat cheese which was very good . My daughter had the roasted beet salad with shrimp and I had the lamb chops which were very good but I would ask for extra sauce the next time .i also had the Irish spice bag which comes in a paper bag . It was different and I didn't care much for it . The chicken was ok but mostly French fries. I would not order it again . Our server, Sully was great . Friendly and knows his wine. Was just okay unfortunately. Menu shrunk a LOT. The last time I was there was maybe 2 years ago. Good: there's a live music, very nice. Food arrived hot and nice presentation. Friendly and okay server. Bad: I'm not too fond off being touched by stranger (server touched my shoulder). Food on a cast iron plate on top of a regular plate, I didn't realize the cast iron was a "hot plate", wasn't warned by my friendly server......my fingers were almost burn (I stuck them in my ice water immediately). Taste wise....it's okay - not too impressed. Server returned once to drop a take out container, never asked to refill water for me or my friend's beer. Oh well. Will I return? Came with scallops and shrimp. Rice was cooked well but wasn't creamy or luscious like most risotto. It was more like well seasoned rice with a topping of seafood. Had the cheesecake for dessert which was good. Service was quick and attentive but didn't recommend any dishes or signage drinks. read more

We roomy and high ceiling restaurant with visible ductwork so as you would expect noise travels well. This did not detract us since it is a pub and expected this. They also have several TVs with football on when we went. We did get seated quickly and were attended to just as quickly by a pleasant waiter. Proceeded to order our drinks. I ordered a Guinness Nitro Stout which was excellent. Wife had an Irish Coffee which she said was one of the best she's ever had. Raved about it all the way home:-) . The lamb burger was also excellent. Got mine well done and it was still moist. With the wonderful melted blue cheese. Topped with tomato, pickled onion, and arugula. Along with the wedge fries. Top notch! My wife had what would be considered more standard fare, fish and chips. But it was made to perfection. Some of the best cod around. Short of fishing your own. Great batter also. Party of 4 decide to have dinner on a Friday night at Fado. We made a reservation for 6:30pm. We arrived about 10 minutes early and was greeted by friendly staff and we were seated right away. The place is nice and cozy. Good for a large group. As for the food, for the appetizer, we decided to get the Maryland Crab Dip for the table, which was just ok. For the entrée, since it was my first time visiting Fado, I asked the server what she would recommend from the menu. She said, "hands down the half chicken." So that's what I ordered, Brick Roasted Half Chicken. The food arrived promptly after we ordered. The portion size was pretty big. My chicken came with side of Brussel sprout and mushroom sauce and mash potatoes . The sides were good, especially the mash potatoes, very buttery. However, the chicken was just blend. Even after mixing the mushroom sauce, it was still just blend. Not sure if I will go back here but if I do, I will definitely not get the chicken, instead try something different. read more

I went to Fado for my friend's campaign event. There is plenty of parking for the restaurant. It is located across from the Dublin Link bridge. I just parked across the street by the Link and crossed the street and walked there. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. There is a covered and uncovered patio section as well outdoors. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is nice. My friend had gotten a lot of appetizer orders for everyone to try as well as desserts. For appetizers, we got to try the deviled eggs, chicken satay with peanut dipping sauce, stuffed mushrooms, and beef satay with sesame dipping sauce. My favorite was the chicken satay, it went perfectly with the dipping sauce. For desserts, we had individual strawberry panna cottas and bread pudding. Both of the desserts were delicious. Will definitely have to go back and try their entrees sometime. read more

I love the atmosphere at Fado Pub & Kitchen. Today, I had the Ruben sandwich with a side salad for lunch. The Ruben comes with Fado's Signature corned beef, coleslaw, swiss, and Marie rose sauce on Great Harvest rye. For appetizers, my group shared the Chili-Garlic Shrimp which comes with shrimp sautéed with chili flakes, garlic and soy sauce, served with crunchy french bread for dipping. We also had the Fried Goat Cheese which comes with beer-battered goat cheese with jalapeno infused honey and fresh thyme. The Full Irish Breakfast is to die for: two "Bangers" (sausages), two eggs you way, Black Pudding, White Pudding, Rasher bacon, grilled Tomato and Mushrooms, and toast. I had the same thing in Killarney, Eire, and in my opinion, Fado has nailed it. read more

I usually stay away from reviewing chains, but this is a nice location in a fun area, and though it deserved a little data for visitors. This is a pretty nice place to hang out, have beers, and watch a game. The facility is big and comfortable, and the bar is well stocked with a good selection of both beers and spirits. The outside seating area is welcome on nice days, and also if you are with someone who gets cold in the typically crazy AC in restaurants (e.g my wife). The River Park location is hard to beat, and is close to lots of other stuff for date night or boys night. I'm not sure I would call the cuisine "Irish", but they do have a few Irish inspired selections. I typically eat appetizers at the bar when here, and the sauerkraut balls are decent, as are the chicken lollipops. Overall good bar food, but not fine dining. I'm only giving them for stars because the place could be a little cleaner. That said, I'll be back. read more

There were four of us who had different dishes that day, and some dishes were better than others. For example, my daughter had a bowl of soup which she said was tasty. My wife had a salad, and she was pleased as well. I had the fish and chips which were a bit on the greasy side, while the fries were lackluster and not very hot. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being high, I would rate the food 7. The one thing that held my rating to just three stars is because any time I walk into a place that promotes themselves as an Irish Pub & Kitchen, I expect them to offer a corned beef sandwich on the lunch menu, or at least a Reuben. Came in on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. Was promptly seated and ordered up my first Guiness. Started with the chili-lime shrimp. Boy, what a surprise! These were delicious! Perfect amount of spice tossed in fresh Cilantro which really made the dish soar! For lunch we had the hot ham and cheese with soup and the pub burger. The soup was roasted red pepper bisque and was most excellent. The sandwich had grilled ham sandwiched between 2 pieces of cheddar with a Gyure cheese sauce spooned over the top. It was also outstanding. The burger was good, but nothing to brag about. Asked for medium well and got well. The fries were crazy hot, but big wedges that I'm not a fan of. We had 2 drinks, an appetizer and a lamb burger and seafood risotto for the entrees during happy hour. We were greeted and seated very quickly. The restaurant was very clean and our waitress was nice and personable. The drinks were excellent and the crab appetizer was great. My burger was dry and overcooked and the seafood was bland along with the risotto also very bland and dry. The bill (including tax and tip) was over $96. They had live music which only added to the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant! I ordered the Reuben it was okay, probably not order it again, it needed more saurkraut, thousand island dressing and a touch more corned beef. The fish and chips looked great, I would try that. I am OBSESSED with the Fado location in Dublin. First off, free parking around the area? Okay, SOLD! When you first walk in you think you are in a very upscale restaurant because the ambiance is so nice. You get the dimmer lights to create a darker atmosphere, but then a pop of the white tiles. It is not a restaurant where you need to dress up, but you can. Those are the perfect kinds of restaurants. I have been here a few times and I keep on returning. There is always plenty of seating and I do not think I have ever had to wait for a seat. They can get pretty busy though. During the summer, they have outside seating where you have a little view of the river. Every waiter/waitress I have had has always been nice. They get you water right away and take drink orders. Every time I have come, my water and drinks always comes within the first 15 minutes of sitting down and ordering. They have a HUGE variety of alcohol from wine to cocktails to varieties of whiskey. If you are a wine or whiskey lover, you are in the right place. Their menu is not huge, but just big enough to make it difficult to pick just one thing. I have tried the cured meats and cheeses ($14.95), lamb burger with a side of fries ($13.95), roasted beet hummus ($10.25), the big bavarian pretzel ($10.95), half the jumbo wings ($7.95), and tomato soup and salad ($9.95). Their appetizers are perfect to share to get a little taste of everything. The roasted beet hummus really surprised me and was absolutely delicious. The beets gives it a beautiful purple color and the pita is so soft. My favorite part of the cured meats and cheeses are the pickled vegetables that help cut through the heaviness of the cheeses and meats. The Bavarian Pretzel is HUGE. You could probably make this your meal. The soup and salad, burger, and wings were just okay. I did appreciate the pickled onions and fried egg on the burger though. The meat could use a little bit more flavor. Overall, one of my favorite restaurants in the Dublin area. A must try! read more

I've been here a few times and really enjoy it. Compared to the other restaurants in the bridge park area, it's a cheaper option, without the quality suffering. I went her with my husband and a couple friends for drinks and appetizers. The pretzel is huge, plenty for 4 people. The mustard is really really good and I'm not even a mustard person! It also comes with a cheese sauce that's hot and really good. We also ordered wings (10), for the table. I split an avocado toast with one of my friends, and my husband ordered a burger. We had a bunch to drink, ha! The avocado toast was really good! Bread was thick, but I was able to cut through it nice, the flavors worked well. Yum! And one piece was a lot more filling than I thought it would be. The fries from my husbands burger were really good, the wings were juicy and we had a lemon rub sauce, very good.
