When I saw it's been YEARS since I have stepped into a Texas Roadhouse it's not for a bad reason just didn't a reason to. This time was a great experience. The wait wasn't long for the time that we went but I am sure at times it can be. Our waitress (Tori) if I remember correctly was spot on. She was attentive & took patience to listen to our questions with easy & was able to check with kitchen about questions we had. Food all came out in a timely manner & was good. Another very enjoyable meal at Texas Roadhouse. This time I skipped the steak and went with the BBQ chicken, and it was an excellent choice. The chicken was tender, flavorful, and coated with a rich barbecue sauce that had just the right balance of sweet and smoky. For sides, I had the loaded sweet potato and green beans, and both were outstanding. The sweet potato was large and loaded just the way it should be, almost like having a little dessert with dinner. The green beans were well seasoned and paired perfectly with the meal. Of course, you can't visit Texas Roadhouse without getting the Cactus Blossom and those famous fresh-baked rolls with cinnamon butter. Disappointing. The food quality was terrible. Steaks came out lukewarm barely, and cooked wrong temperature. We ordered two steaks and they came overcooked. The New York strip was supposed to be medium. It came medium well to well done and then the sirloin was supposed to be medium well and it came out well done to overcooked burnt around edges . Our server did not check on us and she did not ask how the steak came out in fact, it wasn't until we started eating and finding out how it was, and she only checked when it was time to pay I mentioned the problem to her, and there was no action taken for the bill because normally in other locations, they would have a manager going around asking how the experience was or how steaks came out and that didn't happen either so I find the whole experience extremely disappointing and unacceptable read more

One star off because I'm still upset by the switch from peanut buckets to plastic bags of peanuts. Lighting was dim in spots so kind of similar to a sports bar, but the staff were friendly. My family had steaks and ribs. I had the country plate for the vegetarian option with a salad, baked potato, veggies, and seasoned rice. The food came out faster than expected and tasted good. It is pretty loud inside so be sure to speak up and double check the waiter hears the order. Ours came correctly, but one felt his steak was cooked slightly off. Lots of birthdays happen here so great for groups with large booths and tables. There were at least 3 birthday songs just while we were there near us. Quick update after a perfect experience today for a late lunch with a big party. Rachel was our server and was outstanding! From start to finish, every single employee smiled, said hi or excuse me or was just genuinely kind. Everyone ordered and loved their meals. Can't beat the value of a perfectly-cooked 6 oz sirloin with two sides ($14.99). It's always a bit hard to hear because of the ambient noise and music playing, but that's just how it is and I'd never remove a star for it - just worth noting! They came to our table for a happy birthday yeehaw which was really fun, also. All in all, I will keep coming back because they never disappoint. Our favorite chain steak restaurant. Usually by the time the food comes I'm pretty filled up with their delicious rolls and honey butter. So good. I love getting the filet medallions with salad, potato or sweet potato & I sub the rice with green beans. I usually end up taking much of it home and get lunch the next day. There were even a few birthday celebrations happening when we were there. Our server was great, he let us take our time checking out the menu, and gave some recommendations. We were served warm rolls with a sweet cinnamon butter. They were delicious! I ordered the bbq chicken breast with green beans and a loaded baked potato. The chicken was dry, and the green beans were salty. That loaded baked potato was really good, though! My hubby enjoyed his meal more than I enjoyed mine. It was called roadkill (LOL) and he had it with a side of chili and a loaded baked potato. Next time we go there I'm gonna try a steak instead of the chicken! Good food! We came with a large group on a Sunday. We were able to be seated quickly by being split into two tables. The service started off great with drink and food orders being taken. After waiting awhile our food showed up without our salads and many sides missing. We mentioned this to the person that delivered our food. While waiting I cut into my steak that was supposed to be medium and was well done. A good portion of time went by and then the manager appeared apologizing for the salads and then helping with the other missing food items. Texas Roadhouse is and always will be a staple for my family. Not a ton of fancy frills but consistently good food, service and affordable! If you've never been to Texas Roadhouse their rolls (you get a free basket when you sit down) are to die for. So good. And they come with cinnamon honey butter on the side. The house salad is also great (like one of my favorites, even compared to fancy places) - the chilled bowl is a lovely touch and the ingredients always fresh. I often get the kids mini cheeseburgers for dinner - not a lot of meat but always well seasoned and they come on rolls which is fun. We don't always get the app but we like the fried pickles! Not too greasy and the right breading to pickle ratio. Overall, I've been to Texas Roadhouse many times and the food is consistently good. Well - I took it to Yelp. I usually stay quiet about all dining experiences. I have been in the Restaurant industry for 30 years.. Owner, Manager and Executive Chef. I am in Columbus on business. I usually stay close to the hotel - Not tonight I ventured out. I wanted a steak and a cold beer so I drifted into Texas Roadhouse. I don't think I have ever been in one before. I have heard about the rolls, and the peanuts all the gimmicky stuff. I wasn't quite prepared for the experience I had tonight. I walked in, there were families and couples all waiting for tables but they seemed to be filtering through them quickly. I was greeted with a smile through the chaos surrounding the Host desk. A young man asked me If I needed a table - I only needed space for one. I asked if there was seating available at the bar? He looked and then said there is a spot available all the way to the right. He could have just said "yes" as a default to anyone who asks for bar seating. He checked to see if there was availability and then told Me exactly where to go in the chaos. I was greeted 4 times the host, a passing server and both Bartenders. All before I had the chance to remove my hat. I was greeted in the middle of a dinner rush at 7pm with a smile, asking my name and what I'd like to drink. It wasn't so scripted it was genuine. My Bartender acted as my server. That is what you'd expect at a bar seating. She engaged me at every opportunity. She brought my beer in a frosty glass and suggested a decent steak. I went with the Prime rib - She had warm bread in-front of me before I even noticed it was there. By the time I had slathered the warm yeasty roll with the cinnamon butter, my salad was brought right around the corner and set down with a smile. Sadly as a horrible diner I didn't remember her name it began with an F. The other Bartender I think was Codie? I finished my salad and the Bartender with an F from across the bar was watching me out of the corner of her eye (I scarfed the salad I was starving) - she saw me shift my salad plate away and she almost instinctively asked for someone to check my entree. No order book, no computer screen she pulled my order from memory and asked a Food runner to check on it. (It had been no more than 5 minutes since it was placed) - She shot me a smile then before I could even wonder where it might be - Another smiling face. A gentleman with glasses and a blue shirt slid my entree right in front of me, asked how it looked. Informed me they gave the best cut they could (Which always varies with Prime rib) - The steak was smothered with mushrooms, the sides were piping hot the presentation was phenomenal. The Prime rib was tender, seasoned well, a healthy 18 ozs - This was the best experience I have ever had at a Chain steakhouse. The place was packed for a good reason. The staff here was exceptional from walking in the door to watching the symphony of two Bartenders dancing together through a busy night, To the Food runners and the servers holding smiles as I walked through the crowded dining room floor. First time here . Haven't been to a Texas road house in years. I was very impressed by this one. It was really busy, probably because they have a selection of meals for 12.99 before 5 pm . We got there alittle before six and I had my son and daughter in law with me and we got a table right away . The menu was impressive. I was surprise that they had prime rib which I almost ordered but went for the porter house steak instead only because I haven't had a porterhouse in a long time. It was very good and large . I couldn't eat it all , so I brought it home for another meal . My son got a ribeye and it was a large serving also and he couldn't eat it all either. My daughter in law got the portobello mushroom chicken which she really liked. We also had the rattlesnake bites for an appetizer and they were really good , alittle spicy . The fresh rolls and cinnamon butter was a treat . Not much of a wine list but the margarita hit the spot . Our server , Philisha was really nice and checked on us to make sure everything was ok . Our server was busy but made sure we had all our needs met (rolls, beers, etc.). Food--The food was excellent. Our steaks were done to temp, and the sides were yummy. However, rolls with cinnamon-sugar butter should be illegal. The atmosphere suffers a little. We had families all around, which made it loud (restless kids). It makes sense, and I had no problem, but if you are looking for privacy or a quieter atmosphere, this may not be the place. Value--good value for what you get. I enjoyed it and will be back. Stopped at Texas Roadhouse for my kids birthday dinner on a Monday night. Wasn't expecting the crowd they had waiting so it took about 20-25 minutes to get seated. I'm just going to comment on my dinner - 14oz prime rib with baked potato and buttered corn as my sides. I have to say I was very satisfied with my prime rib cut. Ordered it medium and it came that way do I wasn't fighting an overly cooked piece of meat. Good bites and flavor. Baked potato and corn were good sides too. Didn't want to get filled up on their soft bread rolls but I like those as well. Is it the best prime rib? I've had some before at other high end places that melt in your mouth but for this price point, it was worth the money. Server was great, attentive and refilled our rolls and drinks. The food is awesome, so of course we decided to come again today. We made a reservation at 7:00 pm. The place was full as always but we ended up waiting until EIGHT. We're a group of 7 but a group of almost 10 came in and they got their table in 10 minutes. The entire world got their table and there we were like stained underwear thrown behind the dresser. I must say the seats at the entrance are nice but not for sitting there for an hour. Best believe my butt decreased in size from all the sitting I did. I was tasked with choosing a place to meet up with friends, so I chose this place because I knew it would make them happy. It was easy to make a reservation for our party of six, and when we came we were seated immediately. The workers are young and energetic. It sometimes gets noisy, especially when a customer is having a special day and a group of employees gather around to whoop and holler at them. I had the chicken grilled salad and my husband had the rib eye steak with a salad and steak fries. He said the steak was perfectly cooked. You can always expect fast, friendly service and a delicious meal. This location is often crowded, however they do a great job of getting people in and out quickly.
