The new location near Dix park is pretty easy to access with street parking and a deck just behind the restaurant. Counter service ordering with AMAZING sandwiches and lemonade that tastes almost as good as the original (I remember it being less sweet back in the day). I ordered the Veggie Debbie (named after the founder and current owner's mother), it was both fantastic and took me back more than 20 years to the original location on Glenwood Ave. My wife ordered the Cali Club and really like it (it was good, but mine was better!) Our friend ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich, it was too big for her to finish so I get to have it as a late night snack! Whether you're looking for a great sandwich or a taste of nostalgia, stop by, you won't regret it!

My mom ordered the cuban twist with potato salad and a mimosa and my husband ordered the avocado pesto melt with the soup special of the day, which was gazpacho. The mimosas we ordered were very heavy on the OJ, so I think it may depend on who is pouring them, which would factor into whether I ordered one again. I also wasn't a huge fan of the chicken salad sandwich since it was a little difficult to eat (I prefer shredded chicken), but I enjoyed the other two sandwiches. The potato salad was just okay as well, and I'm not sure the upgrade was worth the additional cost. Overall, Sunflowers is a cute spot to grab lunch and we enjoyed our visit.

My husband had his usual quinoa bowl but instead of chicken sausage he had extra mushrooms. Everything was fantastic. I hope it stays that way!

Ordered avocado toast with a side of bacon. The side of bacon was $2.79 and I got 1 and 1/2 pieces..It looked like someone took a bite out of the bacon. Then my avocado was very brown. I know they probably can't help that much, but I was still very disappointed in the quality. I tried to call to give them the feedback, but they make it pretty difficult to get a hold of a team member. This was a Tuesday around 9am by the way, and not very busy in the restaurant. I was on the phone for 7 minutes and nobody picked up. So this is where I have to leave the feedback I guess. Last time I'm ordering out from FW.

Bottom line: Drift Coffee served up some delicious food and beverage selections. I enjoyed my…read morebreakfast sandwich (once I finally got it after an extended wait) and my latte very much. Wonderful shop appeal and positive staff at the counter/register. Note parking is in the deck across from the shop. Pretty tasty breakfast stop! The Deets: I've enjoyed several visits to Drift Coffee in many years past during OIB beach trips (yep, there's a past review). I was glad to see they have locations in NC Triangle now so I visited the one nearest me in Durham, just off I-40/Davis Drive/Hwy 54 in the Horseshoe at Hub RTP (dining/retail/office/etc. complex). They do not have dedicated parking but there is a parking deck for Horseshoe directly across the street so still pretty convenient. This location is very nicely decorated inside and outside with seating areas in both. Inside is a very bright, welcoming, and comfortable aesthetic with a variety of seating options available. You walk up to order with the staff member, and my service here at the counter was both very pleasant and helpful. They call your name to pick up your order at the counter when ready. I chose a hot latte (they do not offer skim but have 2% available) and then an avocado, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich for my morning meal. My latte was about as close to perfect as I could imagine. My sandwich hit the spot also, with it being a bit more than the average type of breakfast but keeping it simple (which is how I like breakfast). The brioche bun was a bit more without going overboard (some buns are just too extra to enjoy, this one, just right). The scrambled egg, avocado, and sharp cheddar along with the roasted tomato jam came together nicely, it was delicious and just what I needed (I skipped the chili mayo this go around). I'm going to pause here to note that I had an extremely long wait for my sandwich to be completed (I was almost ready to check to see if I had been forgotten), so much so I considered 4 stars...however it appears to be a glitch for around my time there and from what I could see was resolved for other people later, or so it appeared to me (it got busy quick, I came at the right time). I'm going to stick with 5 stars regardless, as the coffee shop decor, food, beverage, counter service pleasant attitude, pretty much everything else was awesome which I would expect knowing Drift Coffee at their OIB location.

We have gone to all four locations (Cary, Durham, Raleigh, and Wake Forest), but our favorite is the Durham location in the Park West Crossing Shopping Center, which also has plenty of parking. I love the mural of Durham they painted on the wall. One of the things that has impressed us is that they are consistent in quality and service among all four locations. Brigs is a gem that effortlessly blends a warm atmosphere with delicious breakfast... and lunch choices. During our visit today I enjoyed the Country Skillet. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavor. The eggs were fluffy and the cheese melted beautifully, adding a creamy texture that brought the entire skillet dish together. The service and coffee along with the food are excellent. Unlike some places they offer flavored creamers, which I thought was a nice touch. They have great regular options like benedicts, omelets, pancakes, and the previously mentioned skillets. I also love they have regular rotating options. This month is a peach theme and last week I had the Peach Pancakes, which were very decadent. We can't wait to return again and explore more of their delicious menu.

I've been going there since I came to Durham 30 years ago and have only had one unpleasant experience with the service (and everyone is entitled to a bad day). I like the food. The only food issue I have with Brigs is that the bread is dreadful. I really wish they had biscuits! The menu is extensive and I can't remember not liking what I'd ordered. The food is hot and plentiful. I usually get the Florentine Benedict, but the last time I was there I just had scrambled eggs and potatoes. Food was filling and the only $6. I do not drink coffee, but according to a friend that does, Brigs has great coffee. I also like that I can sit and talk to friends and family for as long as I want after eating. Though I must say, I do not go to Brigs on Friday/Sat/ Sunday. Very crowded then. I really wish they had another Durham location. A lot of the tables are near windows and it's a pleasant place to eat.
