We had a little difficulty finding it. GPS brought us to the parking lot behind the building. There isn't clear signage to direct you where to go. We managed to find our way up the stairs and into the building. There are a number of businesses located inside. Lucky Tree is super cute. It's set up to encourage working, with plenty of charging spots all around. There is a variety of seating, from long wooden tables to smaller individual areas. We ordered a chai latte and golden milk latte, both with oat milk. Both drinks were good. Fyi there is a separate entrance from the side that takes you directly to another smaller parking lot.

I loved the cheese on top! I was not a huge fan of the flavor the almond flour gave them but it was not overpowering. I would probably get them again! They had a lot of options as far as specialty lattes but I am glad I went with the Vanilla Maple. I was worried that the maple flavor would be too much but it complimented the vanilla well. The inside was VERY well decorated, and I would've loved to stay and do a little computer work! I could see myself coming by and sitting down for a quick brunch, meeting up with friends, or staying for a work session.

The decor is nice. Minimalist but chic. Clean. Not too loud or noisy. You can get service at your table. Everyone was nice. It's not totally like a traditional waitstaff, as they don't come by as often, but still helpful and around when I needed something. The cocktails were good - I had the honey bourbon smash. It was well made. So much so I had two! For food, these are shareable small plates. Morning truly felt like a meal. The food came out fast and was hot/fresh. I had the crab claws, crispy shrimp and dumplings. The crab claws were delicious. Lots of them too. Served with bread I didn't use. The crispy shrimp were nice large shrimp and a spicy sauce with rice. I ended up using the rice with the crab claw sauce. And the dumplings were ok but I didn't eat many of them. They were my least favorite. I would come back to enjoy coffee and breakfast, but doubt I come back for dinner.

When I walked into the Paul and Jack Cary location, I smiled because it finally felt like home. I miss the cinnamon rolls from the west coast and couldn't wait to try theirs without the icing! There is a good variety of pastries beyond the typical cookies and cakes found in this area :-) The only drawback is that their prices are much much higher than what I am used to, but I will be back in the future for a treat!

When we…read morearrived in town for my son's graduation, he said that he wanted to take me to this same location for Mother's Day, and that it is an amazing bakery now with these warm, fresh donuts that I must try, stuffed with lots of different jams and fillings, sprinkled with sugar, called Bombolinis. Don't ask me twice. I'm always down for trying a bakery. We were lucky to find parking when we pulled up (private lot and street parking available), and the place was packed, understandably, for Mother's Day. There are patio seats and indoor seating, and the order line was stretching around the tables and out the door. We quickly grabbed a spot in line and I barely had time to snap photos, Lol. I wanna say those cinnamon rolls in the pastry case looked amazing, smothered in thick cream cheese. Our crowd ordered our lattes and pastry items. We chose to get our croissants warmed up and we took everything to-go. There are napkins and utensils by the door so you can grab them and throw them in your bag on your way out. We broke into our warmed spinach croissants and cheese croissants while on the road. My creamy spinach croissant was amazingly delicious. My sister also loved hers. My son said he should've gotten the spinach because it looked and tasted better than the cheese croissant. I will definitely order again. I had to save room because I knew I was trying my Bombolini soon. I chose the Raspberry Pistachio Bombolini. My daughter and sister chose the Blueberry Lemon Bombolini. Let me just say make sure you have a change of clothes or you are eating this stuffed donut with a lot of napkins because the fillings are jam-packed and juicy. They were running down my hands and I had to run into a bathroom to wash up. My sister had an incident with her Bombolini - it squirted all over her shirt right before her flight. Luckily, she had a change of clothes ready. Definitely worth it. Delicious fresh pastries, here with rotating and seasonal amazing flavor combinations. Ambience was loud, bustling, and happy on this Mother's Day Sunday morning.

My wife and I each ordered a latte and they were pretty tasty, although I have a few minor complaints: 1) They only serve lattes in one size (16 oz). Why not offer a 12 oz option? 2) The prices were the highest I've seen for any latte in the area ($7.50 plus tax, I believe) 3) They don't offer decaf drinks, so I wasn't able to get my latte half-caf (I opted to just get one shot of espresso, but of course it's not quite the same). The wait for the drinks wasn't too bad. Inside, they had a lot of seating, but I do think the lighting was a little harsh. Overall, not a bad experience, but I'm also not chomping at the bit to go back.

Maybe it's because this time I'm not taking a work break amid student study breaks, but instead waiting for my animal friend to have some tests at the vet school with which this coffee shop shares a roof. Entirely different vibe at this different location. The coffee doesn't taste any different (sort of ordinary really) but the employees are different. Attitude. It's all attitude. Perhaps the difference is because this spot is frequented by people from the vet school or pet owners like me debating whether caffeine is a good idea when they're already stressed about their fur baby. Shared anxiety. That makes the employee attitude even more important. Nice people. Friendly people. The food here, simple wraps and sandwiches, does taste better for some reason. Even for institutionalized bites, it's served warm, tastes fresh (relative term, I know) and by employees who hand it to you instead of throwing it across the counter with a very much less than sincere "thank you".

I have been ordering my coffee and food with GrubHub, which is relatively smooth. My only complaint are the stickers that they attach to the coffees to identify the online customer that has ordered a coffee. The cup ends up being sticky because the heat of the coffee makes the adhesive glue gooey. This makes for an annoying coffee drinking experience, forcing you to pour the coffee into a new cup and washing the adhesive from your hands. Surely there must be a better way? Smaller adhesives, different adhesives?

Unfortunately, this is probably because the chairs were the equivalent of sitting on a guitar pick. The rest of the decor similarly resembled a mid-century modern insane asylum. All this is child's play compared to the drinks. I was hoping they would redeem the experience. I was rooting for you, iris coffee lab. The matcha left me wanting more. I couldn't taste even a whisper of matcha flavoring, and the price was laughable for a glass of green milk. When my flat white arrived, I felt that twinkle return to my eye. Sadly, about 3 sips later, as I neared the end of my beverage I was shocked to discover a texture component I was not expecting. After a lot of contemplation, I have decided I am not a fan of coffee grounds swirling around my mouth. The customers are hip and trendy, the employees exceedingly friendly and speedy, the drinks bespoke and innovative, but I think we need to cut out the frills and go back to the basics. Why play 3D chess when you've yet to master tic tac toe? I think the experience was net neutral, but for how steep the pricing is, I feel it's my duty to let the world know what they're getting into.
