Omg. My 1st time trying something from their menu. The order I made arrive on time and was really delicious. I'm so going to be re ordering from their menu.

    Chicken Alfredo Pasta

I think this place deserves a little better than a 3 star. The chicken Alfredo was actually really delicious. I would absolutely and most definitely get it again. The supremo pizza was pretty good, but I've had better. This place is worth trying and I would come here/order from them again for sure.

We ordered two Lasagnas and Chicken Alfredo with three sodas. Working hours until 11 p.m. during work week. We ordered for take out because they were closing. Prices were around 20$ per person including soda. Meal size is good, worker was polite and nice. Neighbourhood is sketchy during the night, but maybe it's just us because we are not from around here. We found it using google maps search for italian restaurant. Family owned and operated. Street parking down the street and in front of the restaurant. Solid 8 / 10 overall rating.

My husband and I recently got some takeout from this place. First off, I did appreciate that the food was packaged in such a way that it would make it easy to heat/reheat. Another positive is that the portion sizes are quite generous and the price is quite reasonable. Now to the food itself... I thought everything was a bit "blah", although as I mentioned, it was all very reasonable priced. I tried the: four cheese manicotti, the spaghetti with meatsauce (which was actually a linguine noodle) and the cannoli I with meat. All of the dishes were covered with an unappealing cyst of burned cheese that made the food hard to discern. Other reviewers mentioned that their pizza is great for after bar food, and I would agree that what I tried is probably good for a quick late night meal, but I wouldn't come here expecting anything spectacular!

    Soooo good

Ordered takeout through Yelp and the chicken Alfredo was AMAZING. The garlic break they add is also super delish! Not too overbearing with garlic, bread not too hard or soggy. All good.

They even elevated the traditional ceaser salad and made its citrus notes dance on your pallet differently. I purposefully tried all the viral items, arancini, 40 layer lasagna etc and they lived up to the hype. The ambiance, and service were equally satisfying. If I lived in the area, it would be my weekly go to.

Unfortunately, I never got a chance to while I lived in DC, because to be honest, I never got in an Italian mood. Now that I no longer reside in the DC area, I use every visit to eat my faves and occasionally a new spot. So, after another popular (and cheaper) Italian place closed before I could finish my delivery order, I spotted L'Ardente. I ordered the famous Lasagna - their 40-layer specialty - with short rib sugo, truffle mornay, and Sottocenere Cheese. The truffle mornay added a smooth, melty, creamy cheese sauce. It is good, but I am not sure if it is worth the hype at $40 lagnasa. I think the cost is built into the work but not the flavor profile. I think the meal is better without the sauce - it made it too salty with it.

The perfect mixture of umami and tang. They also used bucatini noodles and I feel like not many restaurants do that and I just love how it absorbs all the sauce. Vibes in there are perfect - like an old style Italian homey restaurant. Service took a little while but they were also busy.

Found it to be a bit louder than I would've liked but I think it was because of the spacing between tables. Came toward the end of the night and got seated and welcomed right away. I ordered the polpette, meatballs to start. They were quite tasty, but the sauce was a bit watery. Think that's just because the meatballs themselves were pretty juicy. Heard the focaccia was a hit, so asked for some of that. I was told they didn't have any left. Which was weird, because then another server came and asked if I wanted bread. I'm glad I said yes because the focaccia is very fresh and was a great addition to the meal. For my main, I ordered the vodka pasta, which was very flavorful and very saucy. I love a good, thick vodka sauce and that's what you'll get here. The one part of the pasta I didn't really enjoy was the chicken inside the pasta. I think I would've preferred a grilled chicken option instead of the chicken that comes in the pasta. That being said, this place is a gem. The prices are great and the portions are hearty. The pasta is thick, you're really coming here for fresh noodles and ingredients. If you want to top your meal off just right, you'll get the chocolate lava cake. Very delicious! Service was good and staff was very attentive!

Ambiance: the restaurant is beautiful but note that martini hour takes place in a small bar area with limited seats. Finding the restaurant was easy but walking into a foyer that looked like the back of a restaurant / server entrance with no staff to greet you was a little confusing. There are curtains sectioning off the dining area, but lots of questions when you first walk in. Also note that the dining room is verrrrry dark at night, and it can get very loud when crowded. Service was okay, but there were multiple times when we wondered where our server was. The bread, oil, and winter sangria were AMAZING. For food we had Brussels, calamari, and mussels to start (all delicious), tortellini mignon (underwhelming and sent back for the lobster linguine), scallop and shrimp risotto (okay, but I've had better), and branzino (good and cooked well) as entrees. I had the tiramisu for dessert which was good, but I did almost choke in the first bite from the amount of cinnamon. I would go back to try additional dishes, but a little underwhelmed for a first experience.
