Haven't event received the meal yet. The restaurant air smelled like literal waste. Hopefully this gets changed soon.

I think this place deserves a little better than a 3 star. The chicken Alfredo was actually really delicious. I would absolutely and most definitely get it again. The supremo pizza was pretty good, but I've had better. This place is worth trying and I would come here/order from them again for sure. read more

They forgot my drink twice and when I called to tell them, she hung up . I will never order with them again

great food for great prices, was feeling super sick needed food fast and service was great and quick. really appreciated this place

Italian Kitchen is not only delicious but their staff are kind, gracious, and caring. We had a large catering order that required their team to pack 600 boxed lunches. The amount of food given in each box was generous. The panini bread was fresh and delicious. The delivery drivers were kind and went above and beyond to make sure our order was where it needed to be in our space. And finally communication from their team to us on delivery timing was 10/10. Would definitely recommend and will order from here again and again. read more

Tried to go here after a concert. The posted hours said they were open until 11pm but at 10:45pm they were sweeping and said they weren't making any pizza. Place seemed quite dingy with many flies buzzing around so perhaps we were lucky they were closing. read more

I've been a customer since 2019 and the chicken Alfredo has absolutely fell off. Something must have changed with the ingredients because I tried it on Monday and I was about to throw up. I used to love the Alfredo with much passion, and makes me sad to see its demise. RIP. The wings were good though. read more

Wow! This is one of my favorite spots in DC! The food is amazing, and the staff is incredibly kind and professional!!

Wow! This place was so good! The price was worth the money for this amazing food! Chicken Parm, chicken Alfredo (the best we've ever had!) , the chicken Paradiso panini, the four cheese calzone and the Italian panini are highly recommended! read more

So thankful I found this delightful spot on yelp. The Italian panini was absolutely phenomenal and the fact that it came with chips and a drink was an added bonus. The gentleman that helped me was super friendly and helpful. My food was prepared very quickly and I was then on my way. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that likes yummy food! Can't wait to try some of their other menu items!!! read more

We ordered two Lasagnas and Chicken Alfredo with three sodas. Working hours until 11 p.m. during work week. We ordered for take out because they were closing. Prices were around 20$ per person including soda. Meal size is good, worker was polite and nice. Neighbourhood is sketchy during the night, but maybe it's just us because we are not from around here. We found it using google maps search for italian restaurant. Family owned and operated. Street parking down the street and in front of the restaurant. Solid 8 / 10 overall rating. read more

These guys make one heck of a calzone! The outside crust has a nice flavor and they have mariners sauce inside, which you don't normally see at other places. The portion is perfect and the all meat calzone is one of my favorites now. My wife got the Prima pizza (onions, goat cheese, artichokes, etc) which to me is a crime against nature but her and my mom loved the pizza. They even delivered all the way to Takoma Park (3rd party) which was crazy but I am happy they did. To each his/her own I suppose... read more

In town for a convention. They were listed on ChowNow. Food was very good I can't imagine that the hotel's stuff would have come anywhere close. Recommend the Italian specialty pizza. read more

My husband and I recently got some takeout from this place. First off, I did appreciate that the food was packaged in such a way that it would make it easy to heat/reheat. Another positive is that the portion sizes are quite generous and the price is quite reasonable. Now to the food itself... I thought everything was a bit "blah", although as I mentioned, it was all very reasonable priced. I tried the: four cheese manicotti, the spaghetti with meatsauce (which was actually a linguine noodle) and the cannoli I with meat. All of the dishes were covered with an unappealing cyst of burned cheese that made the food hard to discern. Other reviewers mentioned that their pizza is great for after bar food, and I would agree that what I tried is probably good for a quick late night meal, but I wouldn't come here expecting anything spectacular! read more

This is the worst Italian food I've had since I visited a Sbarro at a train station ten years ago when I had no other options. The meat quality in the spaghetti and meatballs was so bad I honestly worried I'd get sick. It's clear that the noodles, sauce, and meatballs aren't cooked together. This is really sbarro like where they just mix them together on the plate. And it shows. There is no meat flavor or unctuousness in the sauce, not spice nor herbs nor flavor. It could have been just tomato sauce from a can. The spaghetti had no flavor and weren't cooked in the sauce. I could never eat here again. read more

Craving spaghetti and meatballs so this place was our pick. The dish was pretty good actually, large portion but still managed to inhale in one sitting (I'm disrespectful to my stomach). Came with garlic bread, that was different and too dry and not garlicky enough. I'd say that the person I talked to didn't really know the menu. I asked for fettuccine instead of spaghetti and he told me they only have spaghetti. All the pasta dishes we ordered had fettuccine pasta. Guess the difference is lost. But to me it's important. So at least a pleasant surprise. Delivery seemed slow despite being close to the restaurant and being told 45-50 min. It was an hour but you know that subtle difference when you're starving. Overall great choice for a late night delivery meal. Tried the "fettuccine" Alfredo. That was pretty good too read more

I have my favorites Which are very good. I like the lasagna in particular. And a Caprese salad.

Italian Kitchen is an awesome establishment. During this pandemic, they have remained open. The staff are friendly and most importantly respectful. I depend on thin a lot not only during this pandemic, but always. The food is always delicious and I would recommend this establishment to anyone who loves Italian food. Keep up the great work TEAM! read more

I am a pizza connoisseur and I thoroughly enjoy eating pizza. My go to is always pizza! In DC there's tons of pizza places to choose from but I do have to say that this is a pizza place where when I grab a slice it never disappoints! I just get cheese, I have never ordered anything other than a cheese slice with a side of basil pesto so I can't speak on anything else. But the pizza is great and every time I spend $4.00 on that slice I do know I'm going to be happy. Want a great slice? Come here. Perfect lunch break escape. As far as area, it's on U street so its surrounded by history, bars, lounges etc. Not too far from the u street metro so easy walk. Parking fluctuates depending on day and time. read more

During Q3 & Q4 of 2018, I spent some time trying to find a go-to pizza joint close-by (uploading the review now for those on a similar mission, but have given up dairy in 2019), so I decided to give Italian Kitchen on U St. a whirl. I had this nice cheese pizza delivered from UberEats for myself and a friend. At first glance, it is easy to see that there is a quite large crust border around the entire pie with cheese starting about 1.5 inches in from the edge....some may feel differently, but that is not the ideal situation for me. On a 0-10 scale: the pizza score is a 6.3. A just okay pie with no bells and whistles. Cheese was a little greasy, nothing unbearable. VERY doughy. Average dc spot for football or entertaining type pizza. Not artisan or chef inspired in nature, but on par with what you would imagine quality-wise for a place open until 1am. read more

My office had a catered lunch delivered which was ordered by one of our vendors from out of state, and the food was very good! The Manager (Owner?) actually reached out to us on the day of to make sure all the details were correct - he was extremely nice and accommodating; our delivery arrived almost - get this- 30 minutes EARLY!! the staff who delivered even helped me with setting up the table! So, so good. Their Pizza is delicious, and the Greek and Caesar salads were equally so. I would most certainly recommend ordering from here. Very nice staff all around, and that is not as common as it should be these days -M read more

Very good food! Best pizza in the city hands down. Came from Seattle and they showed me love!!! Godoy people good food! 10/10 recommend this place!!! read more

I ordered a Chicken Alfredo pasta dish and a Mushroom pizza and wow what a difference in taste and quality. The pasta was phenomenal and the pizza was very lackluster. The breading is just not good, and I noticed it was the same with the piece of garlic bread that came with the pasta. Maybe it's overcooked, but the bread is hard to bite into. Would come back for pasta but would safe my money on Pizza in the future. read more

The pizza is tasty enough. But the delivery side of the operation is almost ALWAYS later than than the longest estimated delivery time. So the pizza arrives older and colder than promised. Too many other competent pizza shops nearby to waste more time and frustration on these folks. read more

The pizza delivery service sucks the big one. Never has a place done worse job than this pizza pretender. We've ordered from here for years and tonight they totally screwed up. It will be a long time before we jump back on this shitshow if a restaurant. Hey Italian Kitchen you've just been notified. I'm making sure my friends at the Health Department and the rest of my copious Rolodex DC officials is going to get a call. Really, you fucked up and we had to call multiple times to get some lame answer that the "pizza couldn't be delivered." Really, what does that mean?! Two hours later still no pizza. You're dead to me. read more

This location always gets our order wrong but their pizza is delicious nonetheless. Tonight, we ordered the Italian bacon cheddar fries with a pizza. The pizza was great and delicious, but the fries are definitely McDonalds-bought fries covered in cheese (they forgot to add bacon). $7 for McDonald's fries is def not worth it. Also, be cautious of the menu coupons. They always try to argue about honoring them. read more

No frills local pizza shop. My co-workers all recommended this place for a simple and greasy slice of pizza for lunch, and I am so glad I listened to them. The slice is huge and so comforting. It reminded me so much of the NY pizza shops. Kind of dangerous I discovered this place, but secretly thrilled. Just a tip - be prepared to wait at least 5 minutes even for a slice. Comes piping hot, so it is worth it. read more

The food is is good and the portion size won't leave you hungry. Be careful that the "garlic bread" that comes with the pasta is actually a bread stick with no garlic. The store itself is what brings the review down to 3 stars. The bathroom smelled horrible and the seat was completely unhinged from the rest of the toilet. The trash can was blocked and they didn't offer cups of water (only bottled). read more

Had a really pleasant meal at Italian Kitchen. I don't eat much Italian but it was 1230 in the morning and I was looking for some late night grub after the club. Ended up getting spaghetti and meatballs. I wasn't trying to eat in but there isnt much seating in there anyway so I got it to go. I wasn't expecting much but it was some of the best all beef meatballs I've had. A little on the drier side but really well seasoned. The spaghetti was al dente and the tomato sauce was def made in house. I scarfed it all down and slept like a baby. I was really satisfied. read more
